Was i lucid

first off I did not really put much effort to get lucid or something it isn't like im not interested in this. I am just lazy i read alot of tutorials and posts etc. and tried doing regularly reality checks and writing down my dreams but couldn't keep it that long. Anyway I remember i've realized that i was dreaming (but it wasn't vivid at all and it felt like i had not full control)it was almost like i imagined that i got excited cuz i read alot about it etc. I was in the streets and i took a car i threw it on the ground and i wanted it to bounce high (dunno why) i demanded it really hard but it didn't work so i tried something different i imagined that i get a gun but this didnt work either. I was wondering why because i remember i read alot about like "you just have to imagine it and it'll work". I am not sure if this was a normal dream or a lucid dream. I hope you can help me and understand me (cause my english isn't that well)
