DILDs are when you're in a dream and realize you're dreaming. It isn't a technique. There are techniques for inducing DILDs, like RCs. So start doing reality checks during the day, they should seep into your dreams with time. Both of my LDs were DILDs.

exactly what webmaster said. Just start doing lots of RCs during the day. eventually they will seep through. When you use wbtb do lots of reality checks during that too. somthing will seep through eventually

ok soo say it does seep through..

does that mean when im having my dream.. after a WBTB most likely.. it will happen in my dream.. just almost out of no where.. and ill be able to realize im dreaming.. therefore become aware?

and also.. the question still remains.. how am i able to almost always view my dreams..?

Oh I see you are speaking about Dream Recall, yes it has been said that you always dream regardless of whether or not you remember. I am not quite sure as how you will always remember your dreams, but I think keeping a dream journal plays a big part in it. If you keep recording your dreams in as much detail as possible it seems that you will start to remember more and more dreams that you ware having each night and by doing this your Dream Recall gets much better and by lookin back on the dreams you have had you will be able to start finding dream signs.

I don't really know what I just typed I did it really fast lol but I am sure it is all correct.

If I understand you right, you do "see" your dreams as you're having them, but it's possible to forget all about them later on, making it seem like you didn't have any dreams or that you didn't "see" them. That's why Brandon Heat was talking about dream recall. That's the skill to remember your dreams after you have them.

Usually, when you wake up, you'll have some memories of your dream, but these can easily fade if you don't think about them. Keeping a dream journal is a good way of forcing yourself to think about your dreams, and that increases dream recall. After a while it becomes habit to think about dreams as soon as you wake up, and once you've put it into your "waking" memory, it's easier to recall the dreams throughout the day.

Get into the habit of asking yourself, as soon as you wake up, what you were dreaming about.

As Brandon Heat mentioned, another place the dream journal can come in handy is "Dream Signs." These are things that reoccur in your dreams, and act as clues that you're dreaming. If you keep a good dream journal, you'll start to see patterns in what you dream about. Seeing a dream sign is a good indication that you might be dreaming, so you should do a reality check to see if you are in fact asleep. If you happen to be dreaming, then you become lucid, knowing it's a dream, and that's how you get a DILD.

When you wake up after dreaming jot it down in a notebook or Wordpad or something. That's called a dream journal. The more you do this the better you will remember your dreams. Keeping a Dream Journal is a good way to pinpoint what your dream signs really are. Therefore you will become more aware of your dreams when your dreaming unconsciously. Then when you unconsciously recognize a dream sign you spontaneously know your in a dream. So you'll become lucid.

If your question is about how to make your dreams more vivid and not hazy. Try vitamin B6. I heard it helps.

And you do dream every time you sleep no matter if you remember dreaming or not. That's what a dream journal is for. To make you remember them.

So, are you saying, your lucid dreams are more continuous and "real-time," but your non-lucid dreams seem to jump around more? I don't know that you can control the time of your non-lucid dreams - otherwise, you'd be partially lucid and in control. Maybe you'd benefit from preparing your brain for a night of dreaming before you go to bed (like, telling yourself over and over that you will have vivid, continuous dreams tonight when you are lying in bed).
      LD Counter (as of 07.25.07) = 5 (2 WILDs)
Short-term goal: Recall three full dreams a night for a full week.
Long-term goal: Have three LDs per week for one month.
Longer-term goal: Have one six-hour LD every night! (Shooting too high? We'll see.)
Waking life goal: Round up some NPSG equipment to study my own sleep patterns.

Swear to God you are talking about Dream Recall >_> I'm lost.....

"So basically I want to be able to remember having my dreams so when I wake up I can be like oh I had a dream YAY."

      Is this not Dream Recall?

IT probably is.. and if so im VERY sorry..

i THOUGHT dream recall was where your TRYING to go to sleep and are trying to recall a dream, and when you enter a dream you would remeber it and continue from that point on

but i think YOUR right Brandon so my apoligies

but what i mean was .. i wanted to be able to SEE the dream HAPPEING as its going even if its not lucid

and if that doesnt help... then lol im going to drop this topic

I agree with Brandon Heat... you're definitely talking about dream recall.

Try searching for "dream chaining" or "incubating dreams" if you want to re-enter a dream that's over, but I don't think that's what you're getting at here.

If I understand you right, you don't think you "see" some of your dreams... as in, you're dreaming but you're not even aware that you're dreaming, even in the middle of the dream. I think most people would agree that when you're having a dream, you will always be aware of it and "see" it, AT THE TIME. The difference comes with remembering it later on. People who claim they never dream just never remember their dreams; it's not that they dream but aren't aware of it, even as they're dreaming it.

If you're not remembering dreaming, it's not because you didn't "see" your dreams, it's because you've forgotten about them, and you need to practice your dream recall.
