      LDs as Spiritual Altered States

I've just been thinking: since dreams are the most accessible altered state of consciousness to me, and lucid dreams are the most accessible altered state in which I have a say in how things are unfolding and how I interpret them, they'd be much easier to use for spiritual experiences than, say, learning to meditate "well" enough to induce peak experiences.

Everything in a dream is your mind. Your mind is that vast, vivid, and changeable. Your mind is more than what you thought you were. I'd love to see what happens if I contemplate and experience that vastness in my LDs.

Has anyone tried this before? What were your experiences, if so?

No dream goals at the moment...just flying and letting stuff happen is kinda fun, and it's hard to motivate myself to try LDing lately.

I very rarely use LDs as a forum for spiritual exploration. Usually it just occurs to me during the dream, or I go, "Hey, that blue guy looks like Krishna (a god from India) I'm gonna go ask him some questions." One of my coolest LD experiences was when I decided to go fly to god. I only wish I was keeping a DJ at the time so I could remember more of it!

When I'm awake I plot and scheme to find a way to make my lucid dreams a deeper (perhaps even spiritual) experience.

But when I'm in the dream none of that seems to come across. I end up doing stupid stuff like strangling comic book characters or trying to ghost through walls or have sex (lately)... and so on and so forth.

One of these nights Ill remember to try something deep in a dream.
I'd love to read accounts of someone having spiritual type experiences in a LD

I've never really explored my dream world yet. It's something I eventually plan to do, but as for now, I play along with my dreams in a lucid experience.
You do this every fucking time.
      No sweat.
      No tears.
      No guilt.
You do this every fucking time.
