experiences of Losing control of lucid dreams/dreams

I can recall several lucid dreams where I was very aware that i was within a lucid dream but the things i was attemping (which i will go on to describe) began to fail or didnt quite have to same effect.

      1. Upon realising i was in a lucid dream, I would jump up in the air then glide down like a feather slowly it was extremely fun.
Then realising i could go slow motion through the air i started doing acrobatics, Jumping over people, doing twists and spins that are not physicaly possible, this went on for a few minutes, then i began to get heavy, I wasnt gliding anymore i would just hit the ground like in real life i got frustrated then woke up.

      2. I dreamt i was Aggresive inline skating, I was an instant pro, I started pulling off grinds down rails doing insane jumps, doing 1080 spins on the spot.
Then I started losing control, I would fail at the tricks or fall and hurt myself...then i dont have much recollection.

      3. This was a dream i had when i was quite young probably about 13-14, I dreamt i was at my school, and it was very windy, I would jump of the banks with an umbrella in my hand I and the wind would pick me up and blow me in the air 10-20ft then i would land safely, I continued to do this several times, then all of a sudden to wind picked up and blew me up in the air, I was floating away I didnt want to let go of the umbrella because of the height but i kept floating up above the clouds I got very scared then woke up.

      4. I dreamt I was a character from Dragon Ball z, I was flying through a city shooty energy out my hands blowing things up, I was flying flawless then I froze in the air and it was like when i video tape gets jammed I was a stuttering image in the air i could move but i was repeating myself over and over again.

      5. I was fighting a bully who wouldnt leave some children alone, I would punch him as hard as i could at first he was reacting every punch took an effect on him causing him to get hurt or knocked of the ground, then my punches became weak, they had no effect, so I tried harder then i started missing.

Just a few of my experiences where I lost control of my Lucid dreams.
If anyone else would like to contribute theirs.

the reason is probably that after the first time that you lost control by chance, you expected it to happen again. And again. And again.
What if I told you that I am dreaming right now?
That your whole life is a lie?
That the laws of physics as you know them are incorrect?

Furthermore, what would you do if I told you I'm going to wake up as soon as you finish reading my signature?

There seems to be a pattern where you keep losing control, have no confidence. This could be caused to physical arousal where your heart beat increases. Which along with excitement is one of the major causes for someone to wake up in a dream.

You may want to try stabalising techniques such as rubbing your hands or concentrating on what you are doing and trying to relax.

I agree with Mini Man56 that expecting difficulty in dreams multiplies the difficulty wildly. NeAvo is also right that lack of confidence causes all kinds of problems in LDs. I've noticed that at times I loose control in LDs because I'm about to wake up. I don't mean waking because I've become too excited, etc. but because the dream cycle is almost over (most people wake briefly after each dream and are unawair of waking). When the dream is ending for this reason I often loose control of "tricks" even if I'm confident.

I had an experience recently, I've had a handfull of Lucid dreams but have never lost control.
I dreamt that I was in an airport and my Ex was following me, harassing me. I realized I was dreaming and made her dissappear. After this I went to go talk to one of my friends and they had no face, afterwards everyone in the airport disappeared, I was alone. I wandered the empty airport trying to make everyone reappear but failed. I reached a door and walked through, there was a projector playing through a slideshow of my memories, and the people in the memories were slowly fading away. It was as if my dreams were being altered so that I had been alone my entire life. Through this process I was aware I was dreaming but it was still quite unsettling.
