      Lucid Dreaming for Beginners!

      OK

I few months ago I starting reading about lucid dreaming, and I wanted to try it. So after reading post after post on the subject, I had my first brief lucid dream. So I decided to go to the store and buy a book.

This book IMO is very helpful, atleast it was to me.

      This video was helpful too.....

Unfortunetly, I stopped keeping a dream journal and practicing LD because of things that got in the way...family...lack of sleep...and more...

      BUT

For somereason after that book, I seem to have a LD 3 to 4 times a week without trying. I just find myself in a odd situation in the dream I do the plug nose check and sure enough Im dreaming. Im very big on flying and its very easy to me. I notice myself being able to fly longer, faster and higher then I did months ago. Its like riding a bike I think. Once you learn it, you cant forget.

So if your new at LD, I recommend this book and that video.

send me a email if you have any questions.

Yep, I've heard it's pretty good.

Glad to hear it's working for you

Does anyone know if Reece (from the vid) is active on DV? I would be surprised if he hasn't found it. All you have to do is google "lucid dreaming" and DV is one of the first hits...

      Dream on...

Congrats on your success in having 3 or 4 LD's a week! That's a good hit-count ,I'm jealous of course lol, one a week would be good for me!

As for reecejones87, he does some great vids on youtube and I don't know why he isn't on a place such as DV, but I guess he's a very busy man doing loads of other stuff.

He's meant to have another Vid uploaded this week but I'm still waiting to see it

I went to lucidepia..i think it's called and had a quick browse round their forums, it's not bad, but not as good as here or LD4all, but I did notice the author Robert Waggoner on there who's written a very good book on LD in the last year or so, so it just goes to show you that some very well known people do frequent these forums....cept in his case, he's at the wrong one

Yea its werid but almost every night I find myself in weird situation which tells me im dreaming. Once you find ur dream signs, you should have better success LD'ing. The nose plug test is very very very GOOD. Just if something happens to where you think your dreaming, just squeeze ur nose and try to breath through it. If you are infact dreaming you will find your self still being able to breath while holding your nose. Another couple good ones are " writting " and " clocks". examples............

Lets say you were dreaming you were in lets say Walmart or a Book store or any place really, you'll see some sort of text somewhere and you'll read it. Look away and then look back and ull notice the same text is completly different saying something completly different.

clocks..... think ur dreaming? look at a clock if availble, look away and look back, the numbers will be all backwards or in different spots like a 9 where the 3 is or a 1 where the 8 is..like that...

Everyone has their own dream signs, its a known fact that everyone has their own specific signs that they need to find. Another one is same enviroments...I find myself back in high school a lot and its a easy reality check for me because I have not been ion high school for 6 years. There is so much you can do while lucid, I like to fly. I sometimes like to go to a pool while dreaming and have everyone watch me walk on water like criss angel did in that one video.

I notice alot of people complaining on different forums about not being able to stay lucid.
I have had this problem alot myself, and it can be hard to stay lucid. I have found out Dream Spinning really works. If you feel ur dream is fading or getting blurry, just spin like u would as a child with ur arms out, and say a place u want to me and when u stop spinning, ull be where u want and still be lucid. For ur first few LD's you should just try to stay calm and tell ur self im lucid im lucid stay calm stay calm, just practice staying lucid. When I first had lucid dreams 4 times a week, It was very exciting which can wake you up very easily. I look foward to sleeping for some reason which is probably why i can get lucid so much. I use to not be able to lucid dream so I needed a journal, then just one day I stopped writting but kept being able to LD because of what I read and learned. Try to drink some milk or something eat cheese before you go to sleep, its suppose to help induce it better. I notice when I pass out being drunk on a friday or saturday night I tend to dream alot more. Some people cant LD simply to lack of sleep. It is known that the first few hours you dont have REM sleep and you have more REM sleep after the first 6 hours. The last 2 hours I think it is where you have the most REM sleep. If you wake up at 6am to go to work. Your chances of LD's is very very slim. Back when I kept the journal I had like 10 hours devoted to sleep which made it easier. Try to recall atleast 2 dreams a night and write it down. The more you can remeber the better. Then after a few weeks or even 1 week, just re-read all of ur dreams before going to sleep and you mind find yourself in the same enviroment again and hopefully you realizee that and do a reality check.

Hope this helps. Im done for now, fingers are tired PP

      Left a little information out

I just remebered other things I like to do while Lucid. I find myself being able to like well in short..walk thru walls..doors...anything. I kind of feel like I become a liquid but not a liquid...like Im still whole but adapt to the the object that Im walking thru to be able to do it. It really is a lot of fun doing, especially when someone is there and ur like...hey i have powers...no u dont...yes i do....and then do it...lol...I also find myself being able to turn off lights with my mind and stuff like that. I think next LD I have I am going to try a few new things....like if u ever saw charmed on TNT, maybe try to orb or shoot energy balls or fire balls or freeze time....it sometimes is hard to remeber what u wanna do because once u become lucid u always seem to go back to what u know..

I have flown like I mentiond but never out of earth, people say they fly out of the planet but I have not found myself doing that. I think I am going to start keeping a journal again so I can maybe push my LD's to 5-6 a week instead of 4. Ill let you guys go now
