I brought this word from out of my Lucid Dream

I have no idea how my mind made it up, but once I went lucid I took it on myself to remember it.

It was spelt Leagea. I'm not sure if I seen this somewhere before. I instantly thought it might be league, or in some other language I came across over the internet.

      LEAGGEEAAAAA!!

Nope, not familiar to me either. I'm under the impression I've come up with words myself during dreams, too.

Yeah, I do that a lot. My name here is a name I brought out of one of my dreams. It was an Inuyasha dream, and Kagome and her family were "Kanano's" because they were Shrine Keepers. Use it all the time for accounts names and stuff, plus the next one.

I also brought out "Black Dauzing Sabbon" from a dream. First I saw it like I was entering a characters name for a game, and liked it so I used it for stuff, though I dropped the "Dauzing" because it sounded dumb. Eventually had a nightmare with a creature that looked like the Leech Man from Resident Evil: Outbreak, and it was called the Black Sabbon too.

Also, the word "Carrera" which was a beast outside a house I was in, in a dream that was making it storm.

      Or even phrases:

It was banned in the US for having too much itinerary and home ownership.

The annual Uk World Movement is underway.

      The experience is money.

      You have detestable goats though.

That's another thing I like about dreams, pulling random stuff out of them. Keep pulling more out, man. I liked your first one.

I wish I could learn how to encode a song I hear into sheet music. That would be so awesome. Some of the stuff I hear in my dreams is pretty nice. Such a shame though I eventually forget it because I can't write it down.

I believe there's a wealth of creativity in dreams, it just a matter of finding it and bringing it back.

Aren't these words cool? Once a guy was trying to teach me a dream language, but I sucked at it. And the guy, Nerimeno, apparently his name has no meaning, yay! Along with Xildron and Walms, all are words from dreams, though the other two are already taken, too bad lol

I've woken up from dreams before and had a phrase stuck in my head.

Its weird when it happens because you notice it the second you wake up and its like blinding your thoughts as if your mind is yelling the phrase at you. Often I don't even remember how I came up with it and its usually something random.

Do you have a keyboard? Try tapping out the tune, as soon as you wake up so you don't forget it. In fact any musical intrument would probably work.

If you can't write sheet music then you could right down the names of the notes (A, C, B etc.) once you've worked out what they are. I've been playing keyboard for years and I still can't read music!

Good stuff. I can't think of any dream words off hand that I've had, but I had a very vivid dream once where a friend and I kept saying "Beef Stroganoff" in wierd voices and it was the funniest thing in the world. I even woke up laughing my butt off, irritating my wife in the process because all I'd respond to her was that phrase, said in an announcers tone, "Beef Stroganoff!".

It was funny for days, but looking back I can't recall what made it so funny. It's kind of like being punch drunk from a pillow fight or laughing too hard, and for awhile the smallest stupidest things will set that laughter back off again.

I called my friend the next day and told him about it, and it's an ongoing joke now when we visit, which may lend creedance to the original dream.

Could you explain a bit mroe about notes? can all sort of sound be produced with just 7 notes?

Even though this is getting a little ways off-topic....
Actually, with 12 notes. From C up to the C one octave above it, you have twelve tones that produce all those sounds you're thinking of:
      C C#/Db D D#/Eb E F F#/Gb G G#/Ab A A#/Bb B C
As you can see, some of the notes share names. That is because every "sharp" tone is what's called a "half-step" above the natural (un-sharped/un-flattened) tone, and is half-way between that natural note (let's say D) and the next natural note above it (in this case, E). Because it's half-way between the two, that note can be written as either D# or Eb, since being sharp is being a half-step higher than indicated, and flat is being a half-step lower than indicated.

You can find tutorials and lessons in music and music theory all over the internet to get you started.

I still haven't had any experiences where I write music in dreams or come up with melodies. I had one dream where I was directing a music video for a song I really like, but that was it.

Record yourself singing the melody as soon as you wake up. Just sing as close as you can to it, get the rhythm the way you want it, and have a saved recording of it in case you can send it to someone who can determine the notes and translate it into sheet music for you. I could do this for you if you ever get a recording of a melody. Would you like to give that a shot?

Yes, all music is made up of the 7 notes (12 if you count the sharps and flats, the black keys on a keyboard) C is the note left of two black keys, so if you can find C then you can work out where all the other notes are as well. Just try tapping any of the keys and see if you can make the tune that you heard.

My brother had this thing where every night he would dream about another scene from a musical that his subconscious was making. Each scene was connected, also. Dunno what ended up happening, forgot to ask. I remember being interested because the people in the dreams' actions were corresponding to how they were acting in his life.
In restless dreams I walked alone
      Narrow streets of cobblestone

I'm afraid that's what sheet music and current music theory is for, bud.

Well, there are sites you can use to determine what a particular note sounds like, I'm sure. I did a little search around and while I didn't find any one site that gave more pitches than a few tuning forks, I did find this compendium of piano programs you can use to do the same thing. http://www.infopackets.com/news/soft...ram_part_2.htm
If the piano program(s) on there don't tell you note names on the keys, you can look online for a diagram of piano keys and their note names. Good luck figuring that out, but I swear if you can find some way of recording your voice producing the pitches in your head with the rhythm you're hearing them, it'll be so much quicker and easier for you to get it down before you forget it!
