      FrozonNinja's WorkBook

Hey all! I've been on here as a guest for quite a while and am looking forward to improving in this great environment with all the pros on my side. I'm 18 and am a freshman in college. I've had one real lucid dream in which I didn't immediately wake up and am planning on having many more, with the help of this community.

      Reality Checks:
-looking at hands (most effective for me)
      - thinking what was I just doing
      -trying ADA

      Dream Signs:
      -Water
      -Green
-not much experience, Can't think of others.

      Short-Term Goals:
      -regular lucid dreams
      -go diving
      -explore my dream world

      Long-Term Goals:
      -Fully develop ADA
      -Lucid very often
      -Dream Control

      Lucid/Dream Recall History:
      -At least one a night
      -some nights up to 4
      -sometimes only fragments

      Current Technique:
-Dild (see something weird, look at my hands to confirm)

      Sleep Pattern
      -Sleep by 10
-Up at 4:50 to record dream
      -start day by 5:10

No luck even with recall this morning. Going to start trying MILD and today I have started SAT to go along with my attempting of ADA. Wish me luck!

I am working on dream incubation. Last night, I formed my dream as I was falling asleep and repeating mantras. In one of my dreams, that had nothing to do with the incubated dream, my dad says, "what were you doing". I say "nothing" and he replies, "no, what were you just doing". My subconscious is screaming at me that I am dreaming, and I still can't catch the hint until I wake.

Agh, I know the feeling, man! It's tough when your subconscious is right there trying to drop the biggest hints that it can, but the dreaming mind is great at explaining away virtually anything.

It's funny, but like you I had a dream several months ago where my dad's DC was trying to get me lucid and literally kept saying, "You're dreaming right now." And I just kept blowing him off, thinking he was pestering me to get more sleep.

Good luck! Let us know how the dream incubation goal goes. This is a skill I'd like to have but just haven't developed well at all.

As I fall asleep I am trying to dive back into the dreams of the day before, but the next thing I know, I am awake. I am starting to only remember fragments of my dreams. This is probably due to my slacking on my DJ and my new habit of waking up late, every day. I am working on it, just getting a little discouraged. College is picking up and my slow mornings are picking up.

Yeah Canis, I am working on being a lot more observant during my daily life and hopefully it will transfer into my dreams.

There's nothing wrong LD-wise with sleeping in a little late so long as you're not also staying up late. In fact, those mornings where I get to sleep in (incredibly rare!) are incredibly fertile ground for lucid dreams!

Don't get discouraged. Set your intent before sleep and every time you awake, hold still, relax, and just try to focus on the dream scene you just left. Pull back anything you can and gently try to reel the rest of the dream in.

And above all, keep journaling! Write down anything, even fleeting emotional residue.

      Good luck!
