      Frequency?

I'm very new to all of this and have been trying to get lucid for about 2 weeks.
How often do you have dreams?
How many dreams do you remember a night?
How many times have you been lucid?
How long did it take to get your first lucid dream?

Hi Graham, welcome to Dreamviews! (:

People dream every night, some just don't remember their dreams. This is why it's important to build up recall, so you can remember your dreams, as well as the lucid ones.

Me, I usually remember two dreams a night, sometimes more. My lucid count is in my signature; currently I have 191 lucids on record, and it took me a few days after discovering Dreamviews to first become lucid. But it's different for everyone.

Lucid dreaming takes practice, and frustration from unsuccessful attempts will only make it worse. If the technique you're trying to get lucid with is DILD, feel free to check out my tutorial (who knows, it might speed things up); it has a few different ideas you can try out.
We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

I have been lucid dreaming for 12 years long before I even knew what it was. I thought I was having some kind of special experiences until I started doing research and found out that my experiences were nothing out of the ordinary. :-) Now I average about 15 LD's per month. It truly is a skill that can be learned if one is diligent. :-) Good luck and welcome to the forums. :-)

      Graham,
The answers for first three questions should be your lucid goals

I remember around four. Normally you have to remember at least one
How many times have you been lucid?
At least one per night for me. Two/Three per week is desirable
Really varies from person to person according to practice and experience

Again depends, reading an article about LD may make you Lucid tonight.
To fulfill your Sleep, you have to Dream,
To fulfill your Dreams, you have to Wake up.
