Strange random awakenings 2 and 3 nights ago.

My sleep schedule: Fall alseep at midnight. Awake at 5:45 to try some WBTB magic. Awake finally at 8.

Anyways, last night I woke up with the alarms normally. But 2 nights before that I woke up several times during the night. I don't remember dreams then. The night after that I woke up at 5:30. I was too groggy to try to DEILD or WILD.

Last night I failed to get up to WILD. I'll try do it next time I sleep.

I found it strange to be randomly waking up.

On a note towards progress, I'm remembering tactile feeling in recent dreams. Yaaay!

It could have been false awakenings - do RC first thing when you wake up at night. I got my last lucid that way
I tend to wake up a lot during the night - if I go to bed not really tired, if I have something important in the morning that I'm afraid to oversleep, also after the dream ended. Also because of my cat, who likes to perform random walk across my stomach
It also can be because you are excited about trying out some techniques to induce lucid dreaming.

That is probably the best explanation. You might be so concerned about waking up or what you're going to do when you wake that it's causing subconscious suggestion.
Instead of thinking about what you're going to do when you wake up, think about what you're going to do when you fall asleep. Think about how you're going to do a reality check and realize you're dreaming or what you're going to do once you become lucid.

      They were actual awakenings.

I guess I am pretty excited for trying to lucid.
