just found AMAZING music to fall asleep to

on itunes, there is a band/project by adam young (owl city) that contains all music without his singing. it is titled "port blue." all of the songs on their albums are named after locations, from "into the gymnasium" to "the cargo bay." i listened to cargo bay while falling asleep (its a long piece of music, and extraordinarily relaxing) and found myself in a cargo bay, and realized i was dreaming. ill tell you more about the lucid later.

but the thing about this music is that it has noises in the background and the general music is meant to really make you feel like youre in the place the song title claims. and it worked. its like the skydiving technique, except with helpful and relaxing music for help.

so you all should totally check that out, my favorite in the album is "over atlantic city."

Good idea, I really like these songs! I'll have to try this out tonight.

Yeah this album is really cool. I have thought a lot about trying to WILD or WBTB with music but have never tried it. This music definitely seems like it would be helpful, and imagining being in the place could make for some interesting lucid dreams. Thanks for the idea man

Just listened to "the cargo bay" on YouTube. You weren't lying, this song is just excellent. Very ambient and very relaxing.

I'll have to download a few of these songs. Thanks for the suggestion!

I'm not crazy about Owl City's sound, but the music by itself is pretty nice! =D
      Thanks for posting about it!
We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.
