Success?Progress?Or was it just a dream?

So it's my 2nd day now trying to lucid dream. My method for now is just MILD and with some RC's during the day,and keeping a dream journal. So last night,I fell asleep doing MILD.My last thought before falling asleep was "I will have many lucid dreams"

During the night,I had two dreams. My first dream was seeing a girl in a black dress. She had a blank look on her face and kept chanting "I'm dreaming,I'm dreaming."To the sky.Of course I took it as a cue.But once I realized this,I woke up.I was not excited or anything during the dream. At all.I didn't have enough time to even react. But I was still pretty sleepy,so After a couple of seconds,I quickly drifted back to sleep.

My second dream started off with me going into the first day of highschool (Im gonna be a freshman this fall). So anyway,I was getting my paper to my classes in the main office.I got it and when I turned around,I saw a soldier. He looked at me straight in the eye,And put his hand on my shoulder. Then he told me "You're dreaming,Jetta." (by the way,my name is NOT Jetta. Its Leslie) Again I took it as a clue. But once again I woke up.I didnt even have a chance to react again.I just woke up.Not even excited.I thought It was a false awakening,so I did an RC.But I did wake up for real.

      Now I'm wondering,what the hell just happen?Was this success?Did I fail?Or was it just a dream?Please help.

You got lucid which is half the battle. Some people get this more than others, but sometimes when you go
lucid you're mind sort of rejects it and you wake up. It may seem bad, however this makes it easier to do
whats known as a DEILD ( Dream Exit Induced Lucid Dream ).

When you wake up from your dream you're probably disoriented right? Try to remember during that period
to just remain still. Don't move a muscle and think about what you were just dreaming. Picture it in your
mind and think about going back into that same dream, only lucid.

      Hope this helps,
      ~Wes

Excellent progress Lucidity can be startling the first few times you experience it. Keep at it, and you should get more accustomed to the feeling, and more able to stay in the dream.
