Talking New and need some questions answered...

Anyways you guys could just call me Royal. Haha Anyways I just made an account for Dreamviews and I know all the techniques about Lucid Dreaming and stuff from pass knowledge but I never really had a lucid dream. So here are my questions.

      1) I have terrible dream recall. I remember about 1 or 2 dreams an week.. I have a dream journal that is currently empty since I just got it. Is there any other exercises to increase my recall?

      2) I usually dream in 3rd person. How am I suppose to do reality checks if I have no arms. >...> Also I can only think not actually say something to the people see. Is there a way to get me to dream in 1st person?

      3) Do you guys know any places where I can download mediation and induction sounds and music for my mp3?

You don't need to answer all or any if you don't want to. I know already it will take me a long time to have a lucid dream but i got all the time in the world. If it matters I'm 13 years old and my sign is Leo. Feel free to add me as your friend.

      Welcome to the community!

      1) Before I started to keep a journal, I was unable to recall even a single fragment of a dream for well over a month. One night, as I was going to bed, I said to myself: "I am going to sleep now, and when I wake up tomorrow I WILL remember my dreams!". When I woke up I was able to recall two dreams. I'm not saying it will work for everyone, but it's definitely worth a try.
Also, get rid of any stress you might have. Stress kills dream recall.

      2) I used to have dreams like that too. Most of them were like watching a movie: I couldn't think or do anything, just watch as my dream went on. One even had a narrator and ending credits...
Anyways, that is something that should probably change over time. I've heard people say that you can "take over" a dream character's body if you don't have one of your own. But I hope that someone else will be able to explain more about this.

I'm sorry, but I can't help you with the last question. I have never used sounds like that, but a lot of other people here do, so they should be able to help you out with that.

I hope these answers were of any use to you. Enjoy your stay here on Dreamviews!

      Welcome to Dreamviews!

Look like Enjyu answered your first 2 questions. I can answer your third:

Click here, and find a video with the meditation sounds you want. Go to this website and download them!

      Good luck on lucid dreaming!

      Hey Royal, welcome to DV~!

To answer your first two questions...

      1) I have terrible dream recall. I remember about 1 or 2 dreams an week.. I have a dream journal that is currently empty since i just got it is there any other exercises to increase my recall?

There's many different things you can do, including autosuggestion, using the MILD technique, and simply laying still in bed after waking, just relaxing and trying to see if you can recall anything. Staying relaxed (and preferably with your eyes closed) helps your mind remain in sleep mode and can aid in remembering dreams. Sometimes I remember pieces of dreams I had the previous night when going to bed the next night.

      2) I usually dream in 3rd person. How am I suppose to do reality checks if I have no arms. >...> Also I can only think not actually say something to the people see. Is there a way to get me to dream in 1st person?

Reality checks, in most cases, will not cause lucidity. It's that small feeling of "wait, this can't be right... I don't know how I got here, or why I don't have a body. I might be dreaming..." that tells you if you're asleep or not. Once you become aware (a key cause of lucidity) in a dream where you're in third person, you'll know immediately that you're dreaming simply because you can't see your arms, legs, or whatever. That in itself can function as a reality check. Once you do this, focus on creating a dream body for yourself. Imagine yourself holding your arm out in front of you, feel the slightly wait of gravity as you do so, and imagine all the sensations of movement. It will help you create a dream body and make it your own.

Unfortunately I'm not big on MP3s, so I can't help much there.

If you have any questions, feel free to send me a PM or post here! Also, be sure to check out Dreamviews' BRAND NEW FAQ page; it has a lot of information to help you get started.
We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.
