Would a long song played repeatedly help?

Hey i know im new, but i wonder if a song that was played while you sleep would help. I was thinking a song with at least one recognisable lyric or sound that could be the trigger to check my reality. That way, every time i hear the word or sound, i check my counciousness. Any ideas?

auditory cues work sometimes, but its difficult to figure out how loud you need it to be so that you can hear it but it doent wake you up.

Also you mind has the interedting ability to instantly adapt the dream so that any influence from the physical world seems like part of the dream. You could give it a shot though =) You will also have to get used to playing that song and doing a reality check when those certain lyrics come up. Becaue if its not a part of your routine, it probably wont make its way into your dreams.

      His blade defends the helpless.
      His might upholds the weak.
      His word speaks only truth.
      His wrath undoes the wicked."

I remember when i was new and i asked a similar question about music!

Perhaps a certain genre of music played during sleep, can influence your dreams in a way, or help you realize that you are dreaming, but my guess would be that it would only work for a few people, but its worth a shot!

I tried that and it never helped me. Music helps me but not repeated.

ha, i know every inside and out of my Tool albums.
I've tried to instill the habit of checking reality when i hear them.
