Hello everyone, glad to join the site. I've been trying to master lucid dreaming over the past few years and have come to find it to be a long process ha. I figured joining the community can only help my chances.

Maybe it's a dream and if I scream, it will burst at the seams.

      Welcome Doppido!

There are two ways to look at things and to master Lucid Dreaming. Don't take this as a truth just as a valuable perspective of things.

Male and Female Energy - Don't see this as energies of ways of the sex but as a way of nature. And instead of seeing it as energy you could if you want, see it as different ways to use the brain.

Male Energy looks at parts and steps and are strict. Sees the logic and rationality in things for lucid dreaming this would be to look at the steps required for lucid dreaming like.

Reality check -> Dream Recall -> Affirmation -> Dream Journal -> Dream Control etc.

When you master each step (this is not the exact order, but you get what I mean), you will master lucid dreaming bit by bit. This is usually refered as left brain thinking.

Female Energy looks at wholes and is more random in it's nature which is a good thing. For lucid dreaming this would in my eyes definitely be meditation!

It's for me the whole mindset and at the same time only method you need to master any lucid deaming technique there is, to become aware of awareness itself by meditating you get less concenentrated on your "mind" and body and can use this for WILD techniques. And it's also the mindset for DILDs you do without doing you intend without expecting or hoping.
You control the ego and the emotions. Why I think this is important can be read here: Yoga Nidra or Conscious Sleep - Dream Journals - Lucid Dreaming - Dream Views

When you do this it is said that you use the right brain more.

I have been very Male Energy oriented for a long time, but now I am more comfortable with the female energy. Nothing is better than the other it all comes down to what you think is best for you at the time. And it is all one, they would not exist without each other, so for now it's just a duality perspective that can be made useful for practical reasons.

Here is a video about how the Male and Female Energy works in all of nature: Spirit Science 4 ~ Male and Female Energy - YouTube

As I said don't believe in anything just use the perspective if it resonates with you.

And of course if you got any questions don't hesitate to ask

      Sweet dreams!
