      Dreamers, Flyers, Explorers, Cartographers, Oneironauts, Delvers.... Hello!

      Josh in Ohio here... you may have seen me flying around, teaching flight school classes in the dreaming...

      At any rate, I'm new here... finally getting back in touch with the dream. The Other.

      I will start Dream Journalling on here, as much as possible...

      I am also an artist, and my new work will be revolving around the dream world in some odd fashion...

      I dream of cities often. Perhaps the cities dream. I will try and map as much as possible, perhaps I can find other cartographers that would care to join me?

      I must admit cartography was a hobby of mine back in high school but I don't know if I could map the dream world. It always turns out like a map folded wrong.

      What's The Other you mention?

      melanieb: The Other is a loose term I've been using. I haven't bothered trying to lay down concrete definitions for it. I suppose you could think of it as "the otherworldly" comprised of dreaming, metaphysical, and spiritual experiences where a person touches "the other" world...
      Is it a physical reality? Probably not... but it exists, we all feel and experience it. We touch it when we meet the stranger that we've known for millennium ... when we realize that someone else dreams of the same location that we dream, but we've both never been...
      It's the place that is common to everyone, yet foreign to our waking reality. The collective unconscious ... The source.... The mystery.

      Hey there,
      I was a member back when a guy named Phantasos and I were discussing dream cartography. I and a couple people I took under me did it for a while, but I didn't think it had caught on or anybody else practiced it. Interesting to hear that come back into swing.
