Hopefully that title caught people's attention.
Hello! I'm very glad to be here. *I have searched since I was younger for someone who could do the same as I could, and now I finally have found loads of people who can lucid dream as I can!
I joined this site because recently I have found it difficult to lucid dream as I once did. *Before it came to me naturally and I had no problems with it. *I just don't know what's wrong with me now. *I realize that I am dreaming, but I don't go any further in my lucidness. I just go with what my dream state brain wants me to do. It has left me rather frustrated as of late.
Another reason I have joined here, is to find some answers to the many reoccuring characters, places, and storylines that I often find in my dreams. *What do they mean? And could some of the characters possibly be real? *
Send me a message so we can chat. *If you want, you can go to my dream diary at http://www.opendiary.com/entrylist.asp?aut...horcode=D579887. If you leave me a note, tell me you're from DreamView.
I expect to be quite happy here.
Oh, and if I may ask a stupid question. *What does the term WILDing refer to?
Hey, welcome to DV!! I think i sent you a welcome PM, check your inbox!
regarding your problem that you realise you are dreaming but can go no further. I get this problem almost every night of my life. The only real solution i can offer to you is to keep writing in your dream diary, keep looking for your dreamsigns. Perform reality checks at regular intervals throughout the day, so that when you are dreaming, it becomes a habit to question 'reality'.
Regarding recurring themes in your dreams. These sound like dreamsigns to me, recurring events that should spark you into realising you are dreaming...perhaps you should go and re read your dream journal, to pick out these signs...and then continue on with the reality checking.
It probably won't happen over night, so don't worry if nothing happens straight away.
Another thing i've found useful is: Don't stress too much if you aren't lucid dreaming as much as you were, some non lucid dreams can be just as good as lucid ones. I sometimes believe that trying too hard does actually hinder the process.
WILDing refers to a technique known as Wake Induced Lucid Dreaming...here's a link for it...

This might help you, if you want to try it...although i've heard it can be difficult to get the hang of, but it's worth a shot!
Hopefully that answers all your questions, PM me if you want any further help!
