      Half-lucid?

I had the most success I've ever had last night in LD!
      Very exciting!

After a RC, I attained lucidity.
But, I don't know... it was weird.
It was like I didn't trust the lucidity.

So, although I knew I was in a dream, I was still very cautious.
It was almost as if a part of me was still concerned that part of this might be real.
And, as such, there would be consequences for my actions.

So, when I jumped from the ground to the roof (awesome) I knew I could do it because I was dreaming, but I was still worried I would fall.
And, when I started feeling up this hot dream character (sicko...), I was concerned that my wife would come around the corner and see me.
      What do I care?
      It's just a dream!
      I know it's just a dream.

Has anyone had this kind of half-lucid experience?
Also, my dream recall was really poor.

Are these type of things just part of the nature of DILD and WILD?
And/or are they just things that more experience and practice will help to improve?

      Thanks for any feedback!

BTW... still having no luck with WILD.
But, I am stumbling into RC's in my dreams quite often which is encouraging.
I would really love to WILD, but I either lay there - body and mind awake for so long, I just give up.
Or, my mind falls asleep first and I'm either out for the night, or I experience DILD.

I believe you were completely lucid

Don't despair about WILD. Give a few nights of a break and then resume. I recommend you to work on MILD, which is great. Below you can find some threads with goals and challenges to increase motivation:

      • Attaining Lucidity -------------------------> Many techniques here as well as users sharing their own experience.
      • Tasks of the Month & Year ---------------> This will give you a great motivation to LD as these tasks are fun and gives you a reward for accomplishing them (and that will be an extra goal to help yourself to LD!)
      • Lucid Dares ------------------------------->This thread has a ton of lucid tasks for you to do. I have been personally adding some basic tasks to get started plus other some advanced tasks as well. Many other users are adding dares for everyone as well as making personal dares, it is lots of fun.
