      The next time I'm dreaming.....

... I realize that I'm dreaming. Am I dreaming? Is this a dream?

      Hello folks

I am already registered here for some years. Dreaming always interested me. I read a lot here but to write myself I thought my English would probably be too confusing. I now try anyway and if someone sees some really bad faults in my grammar, I would be grateful being told.

The dream world is a on/off thing for me. Not that I want it to be off. But time differences which I have every week, make it pretty hard to have kind of a normal sleep pattern. Here are the two books which I read and I am reading now.

      - A Field Guide To Lucid Dreaming *link removed :3*
      - I am now reading one from Stephen LaBerge, in German, but I think it's "Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming"

Anyways, it just happened once that I had a lucid dreaming. Unfortunately I was so excited that I just woke up. Bad. Thing.

I try to keep writing down my dreams manually and as soon as I have another lucid dream, I will write it down here.
Thank you for reading this, keep on dreaming lucid!

Hey I read Rebecca Turner's Field Guide to Lucid Dreaming too lol, it was pretty nice.. had a lot of information in the meditative aspect related to dreaming so its right down my alley although i kinda thought it was missing a little something. Hope you can turn that switch back on though, I'm still trying to fine the damn switch
      Good luck though lol

      Thanks for posting, Belle!
Your writing is very easy to understand, don't worry!

Staying calm in lucid dreams becomes more easy with practice. You can even start practicing while you're awake, by affirming that you will be calm when you realise you're dreaming.

While a regular sleeping pattern is ideal for dreaming, it's not impossible to have lucid dreams without that. I personally have a constantly changing sleep schedule, and I'm lucky enough to still have lucid dreams despite that.

I hope you find the books helpful!

Thank you guys for your warm welcome

      @KxngOliver:
Yeah, I know what you mean by saying there was a little something missing. I felt the same...!
Hey, you got already two LDs, you have that switch too keep going!

Thanks for your advice, Dreamer - I now have a habit app, its called HabitBull (and eats Battery as a Bull!) which reminds me ten times a day to do a reality check. I will insert the calming in this process! Good to know about your sleep pattern. I just found out that I dream a lot when I am asleep in the afternoon (which is also during working time - sounds weird, I know!). Tomorrow I try to realise during this sleeping time (I have never done that before - why haven't I had this great idea until now? )...

Yeah, you are absolutely correct about it. As long as you are in contact with the material, you need to dream once in a while of it, don't you? I also have the book from LaBerge next to my bed, therefore I read in it a few minutes before going to bed. But I couldn't get up after some hours to go back to sleep later yet. That is so hard!

You see the "(I think)" They were those semi lucid moments. I knew i was dreaming but i couldn't clear the fog quickly enough so i was quickly consumed by the dream again better luck next time though huh lol
One of the most tragic things I know about human nature is that we are all dreaming of some magical rose garden over the horizon instead of living for the roses that are blooming today... Live for today, or we might never live a day in our lives.

Welcome to the forums! Or wait, I guess welcome to posting on the forums? Wait, now I'm confused...

Congrats on the first lucid! It's common for beginners to wake up from excitement on the first try. Once you get used to it, however, you'll learn techniques to help prolong your lucids.
