Talking Hello, Dream World Inhabitants! :

Hi there! I'm new to dream views and am hoping to learn to integrate lucid dream into my life! I've actually known about lucid dream for a few years now and have been trying to lucid dream off and on since. The reason I didn't sign up on dream views until now is because I'm not very sociable on the Internet. But anyways, I really look forward to meeting and talking to you guys!

Hey! Welcome to DV! This is a good place to start integrating it into your life by building relationships and learning from people that have been doing it for a looooooong time! I recently made a podcast for noobs about things that should help you integrate it. Let me know what you think.

Another great place to discuss where you are with LDing and get some one on one help is here:
      DV Academy

And the best place to see LDs in action is in the task of the month thread!!!

It will give you an idea of some cool things to do in a Lucid dream. After having about 100 LDs, I realized that a lot of my goals were kinda small and I wanted to aim higher. The task of the month is a good place to set some tasks and really see what you are capable of.

Oh, I listened to your podcast. After listening to it, I'm not really sure what exactly to think of lucid dreaming and it made me kinda sad (and worried about whether I would lose hope myself) so many people taper of while lucid dreaming. Hopefully that won't be me. I understand becoming a lucid dreamer will be a challenge, but I feel-like I am up for it! Also though I understand lucid nightmares may be scary, but I see it as an opportunity to face the darkest parts of my mind, so I don't see that turning me away. Anyways, I'll make sure to contact you if I feel-like I don't know where I am going with lucid dreaming. Thanks for the support!

Thanks for listening to it. It isn't really the most encouraging threads, but I think it is important for people to know some things before starting.

I hope that LDing is something that you can enjoy. I don't want people to go away from LDing, but have a more realistic and powerful base when starting out with LDing, so that more people will be able to make it past those hard times.

Well, I had my first vivid nightmare. Pretty much what happened was I got stung to near death by bees. I could actually feel the sharp pains when the bees stung and afterwards they left a stinging (no pun intended) sensation on my skin. It got so bad, I started hallucinating and got a headache in my dream. After enough stings, I collapsed onto the ground and was paralyzed. I even tried calling for help, but voice was too weak for anybody to hear. It even got to the point I was accepting death and thinking my final goodbyes before I passed out in my dream. I regained consciousness on a bed in my dream and then right afterwards I woke up. Overall it wasn't terrible. I wouldn't even say it was bad. I know it wasn't a lucid dream, but I think that added to the realism of the dream because I feel as if I actually experienced it. I know it wasn't the worst thing that could happen in a dream, but I don't see stuff like that turning me away from lucid dreaming, so I think I may be around for at least a little while.

That is good that it isn't turning you away. Next time you are in a nightmare, you should try to wake up! Or just lay down and go to sleep. Ignoring the problems will usually make them go away in dreams.
