Finally joined after 4 years!

Hi there!

I've been lurking on DreamViews for about four years now, and finally decided to join! I'm a pretty shy individual when it comes to forums, but I hope to settle in, make some friends, and contribute what I can to your community.

I began my lucid dreaming adventures four years ago when I discovered the concept on the internet. I kept finding myself back on this forum, browsed quietly for a while, and got so excited about lucid dreaming that I managed to have a very vivid WILD on my first try! Sadly, since then my motivation faded. I had one or two lucids here and there, but I wasn't doing much except coming back here and reading a few threads.
I've struggled with intense nightmares for several years, but over the past few months they got to an all-time high where I literally stopped sleeping out of fear. (Well, I'm still struggling with sleeping... *looks at time*) I remembered that lucid dreaming made me look forward to sleeping, so I came back here for inspiration! I started a dream journal about a week ago, but I keep forgetting to write in it. My hope is that I can find support and motivation to continue my journal and conquer my fears of sleep while I learn more about lucid dreaming!

Ah, that was long for an intro.

I'm happy to be here, and I can't wait to meet you guys!

Welcome, Arwyyn!

It’s good that you decided to join. The forum is definitely a great place to learn a lot about LD’ing, seek advice, help find your own best lucid dream practices etc. (and lots more!). I was ghosting the forum for about a year before joining, but it was a wise move in the end! I'm sure you won't regret it, either

Also, a WILD after your first attempt? That’s pretty good!
