Hello all. I'm new here.

I'm an aspiring lucid dreamer who really needs help getting started. I had semi-lucid dreams when I was younger (flying and having complete control over my flights, the occasional nightmare when I would realize it was a dream and fight back against whatever was chasing me, etc). When I was 12 I found a magazine article on how to control dreams, but I was a kid and didn't really understand that it was a skill that would need work and practice. I was impatient and gave it up too soon.

I'm 41 now, and recently decided to try lucid dreaming again. It's been over a month and a half and haven't succeeded yet. I have a few things going against me (I'll discuss those particular problems in another post here), but suffice it to say I'm not giving up any time soon. I'm looking forward to this new adventure into my inner-space, and look forward to my time here.

Hey. I have experienced some similar dreams such a semi-lucid flight control and such in my childhood. I have recently begun lucid dreaming but have not had any success yet. I wish you good luck and hope to collaborate in both our journeys to lucidity.

I'm sure you have an ld soon! Keep up the efforts you are putting into it, it's absolutely worth it. Also, be sure to check out all the different induction techniques and read around the site for extra ideas and inspiration.

Thanks! I actually had my first LD last night! I posted it elsewhere and even though it was a pretty simple dream but what an amazing feeling!
