      Lol Hey Guys,

So this is really just another "Hey im back" post. I know, I know, It really is like being a returning alcoholic... but hey, at least im addicted to the good stuff!
I used to be on here a great bit, and im so happy to see it's still striving! I was an original Dream Views Academy Grad back when that first started!
Loved taking those classes, they really helped me out. Thats what I love about this community, everyone is so supportive and helpful. I totally suggest checking
out DVA if classes are still going.

Anyway! I have been away for about five years now.. I thought joining the military might be a good excuse for why I have been away for so long, but it really isn't.
I have more than enough time on my hands to continue my study of lucid dreaming, I just have a case of the lazy.
So to kick off my rebirth, why not have a beginner
question that's no doubt been answered a thousand times on other posts to annoy all the veteran LD's here?
Lol sorry guys.. aren't you glad im back?

For the returning lucid dreamer, what is the best way to get back on track? Any tricks to make journaling less of a drag? Personal tips that got you started?
All jokes aside, thank you all for having me back - Its good to be here and I hope I can learn and help learn any way I can.

Hey welcome back Xiper! Just to avoid confusion, is your name pronounced like Ziper ( rhyming with viper)? Or Zipper

Anyway, best advice for getting on track I believe is to start committing to the dream journal again. In addition, get back to the sleep routine you had when you were successful before.

Hope that helps and again welcome back!

Thanks! Its Ziper as in sounds like Viper lol
You cant imagine how often that is mixed up! Great advice, the Dream Journal is always the first step - and also my achilles heel
I always put off logging my dreams, which makes lucid dreaming like trying to signal a helicopter with clear smoke...

Haha well put. And I promise that you're not alone in that aspect. I can say though that there is some value in even just talking about your dream to someone in the morning. I tell my bf in the car on the way to work for example. It's not as thorough as journaling the dream, but it accomplishes helping with recall because you recited your dream at all, and you can also go back to that person for reference when you do finally decide to jot it down.

That makes perfect sense. And the sad thing is I know this very well. I just put it off anyway.
But not anymore! Actually im up right now pulling a WBTB, journaling a dream I had. And I just noticed a dream sign
I never noticed before. Public restrooms in my dreams are HUGE.. like several rooms of stalls, showers, urinals lol
Anyway, its true. The magic is in the recall - I just need to put the effort in
