      Dreaming issues

      Good evening.

Yes, I know there are many topics that cover this and they all get more or less the same answer, you dream but you don't remember it bla bla.

Well, wrong. This year for example I had 4 dreams in total. When I do actually dream, although I can not recall lal of the action, I am aware that I was dreaming when I wake up. The rest of the time, not. No REM sleep, no dream. No rem sleep/dream equals waking up tired and like you've slept for nothing. Check. But here.. here comes the fun part

5 years ago I had my first seizure. I've had EEGs and the whole batch of tests showing absolutely nothing. No simptoms relating to epilepsy, no damage, no nada. Fun part is, I would always get them guess when.. that's right, mornings when the brain should be in REM sleep. Coincidence ? I think not.. For many years I've had weird sleep patterns, going to bed late, sleep 3 4 hours a night or 12 14 after 2 days being up. We all have crazy lifestyles at some point, keep your judgement to yourself please. I have had about 7 seizures in this time, all during sleep, all during the same time. nocturnal epilepsy they call it, or at least that's what they try because there are not enough data or studies on this and it's rare from what I could gather. Medication the past year eradicated the seizures but.. you don't quite want to know all the side effects of anti-epileptic drugs.

My question is this ? Would another RMN clear up any doubts ? Having a sleep study while on these pills wouldn't be irrelevant ? And back to dreaming, can all of these, the sleep patterns, lack of dreams for years and tiredness after waking up contribute to my condition ( which all doctors just say.. that they basicly have no clue what it is exactly, they're epileptic seizures but I don't actually have epilesy, which sounds retarded to me.. ) ?

      Thank you.

Ok... If this has no relevance, just ignore ok?

I have experience with Ketamine (a drug that antagonizes NMDA receptor related to brain stem and brain/body connection) when I lie down after a LOW dose. And just relax and let 'warmth' come naturally. I have experienced a surge coming through my body which either jolts my body involuntarily or give me an intense brain zap. I do not have epilepsy.

Not sure how this contributed , Just doesn't have to have epilepsy to have certain symptons.

Aw man that sounds awful! I hope you get some answers that you're looking for. Maybe you should try another subforum like general dreaming if you want to have a better chance of getting an answer. Welcome to dreamviews!

Well, this is a lucid dreaming community, but I feel obligated in sharing something.

Have you considered medical cannabis for your seizures? Apparently, CBD oil (it will NOT get you high) works wonders with seizures...
