Welcome, Archemy, good to have you with us!
I'm happy to see you are excited and eager to learn.

Meditation is good for a lot of things, and can definitely help you become lucid faster by increasing mindfulness, awareness and setting intention. However, a lot of that is more advanced material that you may not want to occupy yourself with just yet! I suggest you visit http://www.dreamviews.com/welcome/14...ere-start.html , a thread made by DV Admin gab, which will tell you some of the basics of DV and link you to some useful sites. If you have any questions, find the related forum and post a thread there, or press the 'Chat' button above to join us on DreamViews IRC!

      Sweet dreams!

You're not going to master the rest of your life in one day. Just relax. Master the day. Then just keep doing that every day.

Meditation can help with lucidity, but honestly I would encourage meditation even if lucidity is not something you're after. Meditating can just help you all-round in your life. I like to take even 20 minutes out of my day to sit down and have a nice, relaxing quick meditation session. You'd be amazed at how good it can make you feel. Our minds are so busy all the time that it's nice to just sit down and put all of that to the side for a little while.

Hi Archemy, I am also new to this forum, but I am not new to lucid dreaming. If I could give you one piece of advice, it would be this:Have patience. Lucid dreaming has a steep learning curve, but once you get into the groove, it is awesome, and can be very enlightening.

yeah ive been doing it lately too but not with discipline, it makes you more aware and live in the present, the ego sometimes always wants to take us to thinking about the past or worrying about the future. But in reality, there's only the NOW as our guru eckhart tolle said
