      Hello!

Well, what can I say? I had a sudden obsession and urge for a lucid dream and thankfully I've found this site. Problem is, I've never had a lucid dream and don't know the process. I only the very basics like: keep a dream journal, etc.

The thing is that I can't remember even if I had a dream. I know that everyone dreams, but even when I wake up, I can't remember what I dreamt about. It's pretty strange. Anyways, I really want to experience a lucid dream. It is said that I can do anything in the dream.

I hope I can get to know a lot of you and have a pleasant stay. Thank you for this site!

From what i have learned is that it wont happen over night. You have to stay patient and have a positive attitude (for dream recall). Try staying still when you wake up in the morning. try and lay there for 5-10 minutes and just try to remember anything. if you can think of one thing that happened in your dream you be more likely to work backwards and more of the dream will appear in front of you. And if you dont remember anything dont worry because your brain will start remembering because you are telling your telling your brain to subconsciously. i am no expert as i am new here but i have seen great gains in my dream recall by doing the steps above.

Side note. if you dont remember anything from your dream just right that down in your journal. You will (without noticing) be telling your brain to remember your next dream. Hope this helps!!

      to DreamViews, Luciera!

That is a good advice, Theu1986. I would just add, that if you don't remember anything, right something positive. Like "I have a good recall and it's getting better every day". It will help you set an intent to recall your dreams.

You can start by checking out our main tutorials here

If you need any help, let us know. Happy dreams.

Thank you guys! Before I begin, I was wondering if age had any factor? I just turned 13 and never had a lucid dream in my life. I'll give the other posts a read too.thank you!

Hey Luciera. Welcome to DreamViews. To answer your question, you're fine. I think you have to be at least 13 years of age in older to sign up. If you just turned 13, then you're fine.

Welcome Luciera! I hope that you'll have a lucid dream soon! Maybe you can try doing mantras while in bed like "I remember my dreams" or "I wake up after every dream" to increase the chances of dream recall? I don't think your age has anything to do with it so you don't have to worry about that being a problem.

Hey Luciera, welcome to the forum! I wouldn't worry about being too young for lucid dreaming, it's actually slightly easier to get into it when you're younger, as you typically have more vivid and fanciful dreams. Plus, several lucid dreamers actually start when they're really young, to help combat nightmares. So you won't be at any disadvantage for being young - in fact, it's probably incredibly helpful that you're starting this early.

Anyway, let us know if you have any questions, and come check us out in the IRC chat.

Thank you for your response! I took your advice and I started remember dreams! I do around 20 reality checks every day and at bed, I will say, "I will remember my dream." I've been remembering it twice now! And I've been recording it in my dream journal, but no sign of lucidity yet. I still can't control my dreams. I guess I have to keep on doing it a little longer? Anyways, once more, thank you for your response!

Thank you so very much! I'll be sure to check out the chat really soon. And I agree. I want to lucid dream really badly because I have a lot of fantasies I want to act out. I can't wait for the lucidity to actually happen. Thank you so very much!

Hi Luciera! I'm here to tell you that its OK if u haven dreamt lucidly yet and as u said u dun remember your dreams or if u do you dun do it completely. So here's a guess! I guess u could control ur dreams at least one but you don't remember so is it OK if I stop worrying about that sad smiley in front of ur none yet quote? Heh kidding. Don't worry. All u need to do beside doing all these cool reality checks n methods is LOVE your DREAMS and expect you will remember them like u expect your heart to beat. Doing what all said are really true and works well! Just stick to them and never give up. I'll be waiting for u to share your lucid dream.
I gave up on doing something and that was right before I could finally do it myself. So never give up. Said it twice heheh
