      Hello everyone

Hi! I've visited this forum anonymously every now and then for wayyy too long, but now I finally got the motivation to create my own account. I'm a 13 year old girl (born in 2003 tho) from Finland and I've been LDing for few years already, so I can proudly say I'm not a total beginner. But I'm not a pro either... Sometimes (=most of the time) I lost motivation, but I'm still writing my DJ everyday, whether or not I even have dreams. That means I don't have to start all over if I get my motivation back, like now, when I immediately got two LDs in a row, one per night (I hope it will continue this way...). I don't really use RCs because I'm too lazy and have no problem without.

Welcome to the forum, and congrats on the lucids!

I would still encourage you to try to do RCs whenever you can. RCs aren't really about trying to force yourself into a habit that you hope will translate into your dreams, they're about making you take inventory on your experience and become aware of your surroundings. Even if you don't use RCs in your dreams, just the improvement of awareness from practicing them in real life can improve both the length and quality of your lucids. You don't necessarily need to do them 24/7, but even just a little bit whenever you think about it can make a huge difference.

Anyway, let us know if you have any questions, and feel free to stop by the IRC chat.

Thanks! I guess I could (try to) give RCs another try. It would be great to get more LDs.

      Hello there oneironaut,

I wish I was that young when I started paying attention to my dreams, that's so cool! Hehe. In any case, good luck on your mystical journeys! Hope to see some of your experiences

Thanks! I have no clue what you mean by oneironaut, but whatever . Yeah, I guess I was lucky for discovering LDing that young, as learning is easier for kids and stuff (though I still have a lot to learn).

Oneironaut just means "dream explorer", from the Greek oneiros meaning "dream" and naútēs meaning "sailor". We use it as a blanket term for lucid dreamers or people who are interested in the infinite possibilities of dreams.

Ohhh, I didn't know. I've never heard it before. But now I know!
