      -Insert Attention-Grabber- :D

      Thanks for visiting!

I am twenty-four years old, female, and a resident of Texas. I'm generally new to the idea of joining/posting in a forum, so I'm not sure what exactly you're supposed to put into an introduction post/thread. So, maybe the basics and why I'm here?

My favorite color is green. I read, write, draw and play ukulele. I really love snakes, which is something I feel needs to be said because I often have dreams about them where they hold positive symbolism (and apparently, thats not the norm?). Due to personal experiences and preferences, I try to keep a very open mind about all things and I try to be respectful of everyone and their own lifestyle or beliefs.

I've always been a very avid dreamer, but I have more nightmares than anything, which is one of the reasons why I'm here. Lucid Dreaming has been brought to my attention a few times in the past but I've never taken time to actually look into it until just recently when I had an experience that was almost like it. Or I assume it was. I'm not sure. All I know is that it hasn't happened before, and it prevented me from meeting a 'bad end' in this most recent re-occurring nightmare, which I'm hoping to post about for some feedback.

I'm here to learn and converse with people who are like me (avid dreamers). It will be nice to be a part of a community where thats acceptable and even welcomed.

Thank you for having me! Have a great day.
      ~Rai

(Oh! Is it acceptable to post past dreams/nightmares in our dream journal? Or is it strictly for current ones? Thanks again!)

Glad you decided to make an account. And yes, you can post past dreams in your DJ.

Happy dreams, and ask, if you have any questions.

      Welcome to the forum!

Lucid dreaming is definitely a great way to stop nightmares, or even turn them into positive experiences. When you're lucid, you can even ask the dream straight up why you're having the nightmares, and often your subconscious will tell you. In the meantime, if you're looking for help understanding your nightmares, you can always post in either the Dream Interpretation or Nightmares and Recurring Dreams subforums.

And it's totally fine to post your past dreams in your online DJ. You can even back-date them by setting the option "Post On:" to a previous date.

Let us know if you have any other questions, and feel free to stop by the IRC chat.

      Welcome!
Deep in the human unconscious is a pervasive need for a logical universe that makes sense. But the real universe is always one step beyond logic.

      Nice Title

I whis, I had nightmares as well (sounds strange, as I read it now), because i beliefe, you can learn a lot from them and improve yourself.
Unfortunately I recorded over 700 Dreams in my current DJ and only one nightmare :/

      Hello,
And if these are only dreams not good then we can always share it?
