      Pylon shaped craft

Hi, just joined! Great to find this site.

I just wondered if there's anyone out there who's had any dreams invloving huge, electricity pylon shaped 'craft'???

The reason I ask is because I keep getting a recurring dream of these big objects lining up to land. It's a completely lucid dream, where I know I'm dreaming, but at the same time believe it is real. It starts with me getting out of bed and looking out of the window. There I see one, then two of these pylons things approaching to land in a nearby field, excitemnt turns to awe, then overwhelming panic as I realise that there are hundreds of them lined up and waiting to land. A reason why I'm so interested in this is because I recently read a book by Robert Monroe, an OBE pioneer, who had , and describes, almost exactly the same dream that he had in 1961 (which just happens to be the year I was born, that might mean nothing, but thought I'd mention it!).

Anyone ever had anything like this?

can't say I've had any dreams quite like that man

if you knew you were dreaming, then yes you were lucid, but you said you also believed it was real, so you kinda lost me there

as far as OBE's go I don't really believe in them, but you can ask in the Beyond Dreaming section here too
      anyway, welcome to dreamviews

Just wanted to clear something up: you start having these dreams before or after you've read this book? If it was after, then it could be simply that you have embedded this imagery from his book into your head and it projects itself out to you in your dreams. If before, well then.... that's pretty freaky

Hey there and welcome to the forum!

I've never had a dream like that. What did this "OBE pioneer" have to say about the dream? Anyways...if you are lucid, then you know you are dreaming. Which means you can't believe that it's "real" or else you'd lose your lucidity. Have you ever tried to DO anything in this dream...or try to control the..."pylon" things. I mean...what else happens in your lucid dream.

And I personally don't think that having a recurring dream has anything to do with an OBE. And I'm sure no matter what sort of dream you have, there's thousands of people who have had similar ones.

I read the book about two years after my last one, so has nothing to do with embedded imagery.

Robert Monroe is died recently, I never had a chance to mail him and wouldn't have known how anyway. I'm aware that we can all have similar dreams, it's just that his description was exactly the same in every detail, even down to his feelings and emotions whilst he was observing it. Certain dreams, you just know, have more depth to them than others. I'm used to dreaming some pretty bizarre stuff by now, I can sift through 'ordinary' dreams and weirder ones. Precognition happens a lot to me also - even really cool stuff like dreaming of winning horse races - I'm not kidding. If ever I wanted some good tangible proof, it's a fistful of dollars (well, pounds in my case).

Very interesting. If I were you I'd try to do some research into what that dream could have meant. I know you can't talk to him though...and that's a shame.

      Hmmm,

had the same dream yet again last night! Every detail the same except this time there was someone in one of the crafts trying to communicate that they were afraid of my dog and asked me to lock him in a room!

Are aliens frightened of dogs??? 8)

      That dream really is freaky.

I have several reoccuring dreams but none involve aliens.

I'm sure I watched a movie once where the aliens were scared of dogs, can't remember the title though.

Did you lock the dog in a room like they asked you?
If you didn't maybe you should try it next time.
Co-operating with them may take the dream to the next stage and shed some light on it for you.

Do you believe you have ever seen an alien or been abducted for real?
Weird question I know but lots of abductees report the abduction as seeming like a dream and some believe they get abducted regularly (Reoccuring).
      The Sandman is near.

Sure as hell hope so - alien anal probe is not on my list of favorite things.
Although, I'm sure my dog doesn't appreciate when I take her to the vet just to have him stick a rod up her butt.... she'd probably lock herself in another room just for revenge!

Yes, in the dream I did lock the dog up but I awoke just after doing that. The 'alien' was very agitated about the dog, oh and also, I forgot to add that I awoke because my dog was barking his head off.

I've never dreamt of being abducted but I have had that sleep paralysis thing where I felt 'something' was trying to make me go with it, which I resisted.

      Anal probe sounds rather unpleasant!!
