      Dream Journal

I'm having a little trouble trying to sort out the "important" things that should go in my dream journal. I had 5 dreams last night (At least the ones i remembered) and out of those 5; in 4 of them i was at school doing the usual stuff i do at school and in 1 of them I was at my dad's house... they don't seem too important to me, so i'm not sure if i should take the time/energy to write them down in the middle of the night.

one of the ones at school, i had to watch a movie about a midget clown who could cure sickness and disease.... so if a movie comes out about that... you know who first got the vision.

Well, i'm just wondering what kinds of things you ppl write in your dream journals, if you skip the stupid stuff, or if you write down everything, no matter how irrelevant they are to your dreamsigns.

      All of it.

With the most detail, you get the clearest memory of the dream.

It's all about getting your mind used to remembering the details of dreams.

Sometimes the last thing i want to do is get up, turn on the light and write down a dream, but it is imperative.

once you're very good at dreamrecall, and you can keep it for a long while I dont think its neccesary to keep an extensive dream journal for every dream, only the ones that are special to you. The point is to increase your awereness on how dreams work and to discover dreamsigns, and to remember lucid ones!!

These two have both provided good advice. Record everything you can think of--no matter how inane or seemingly insignificant--while developing your dream recall. After you've become more proficient at remembering your dreams, you can start focusing more on key elements and especially dream signs, etc.
Each new day is a chance to turn it all around.

If you are too lazy to write it all out during the night just jot down some key words that will remind you about it the next day.

Also you can try a tape recorder... Has anyone tried that?

no, but it should work a lot better...

Or a videocamera....that should be fun to watch, you know, people after they just got up talking half asleep....
