      danger?

When lucid dreaming, we must use alot of brain power, and we use sleep to recharge our bodys and brains... maybe....

      Hey, Welcome Krippe!

Most of the recharging occurs during delta sleep. This is the time that calcium and other important Ions are replenished.

During REM sleep, your mind is just as active during a normal dream as it is during a lucid dream.

I always feel MORE refreshed whenever I have an extremely vivid lucid dream than when I have a low level non-lucid dream.

I think if there was any danger, and that chemicals were getting depleted, your brain would protect itself and not let you get lucid.
you must be the change you wish to see in the world...

Don't worry about it, its completely safe and natural!!!!! No cost, no side effects, except you get hooked.....

Don't worry. It's perfectly safe. Your brain is usually active anyways during sleep.

Good info here. I have wondered the same thing! I also feel great after a LD. A little loopy but great!!! And I am already addicted!

i totally agree with seeker and LC, lucid dreaming has an incredibly positive effect on the mind and body. I feel more refreshed and "awake" after a long LD session. In fact after regular dreaming I am often more groggy and tired and have to wake up more. I think that would be a really beneficial test, the beneficial physiological effects of lucid dreams! Anyone know if that has been done before?
