      Hi,

I am sorta new at the whole lucid thing. I had my first major lucid dream a couple nights ago; I was in this long dream walking around and stuff and then I was in a place I recognized and im like "oohh im dreaming" and im not even shure how I knew, but everything around me went from this fuzzy grayish tint to being really vibrent and clear. I forgot there was a door behind me so i tried to climb out the window in the wall but as I did so, everything got fuzzy again and started going dark. I didnt know what to so I remembered reading about "dream spinning" and i tried it but everything went black...and the dream ended. I have also been depressingly unable to WILD - I lay there for a while but the farthest I have ever gotten is that I feel like im floating and my bed is tilting toward my head - like my feet are tied to ballons and are slowly rising and my hearing goes away and my body feels wierd, but then everything goes dark and I am awake again
Help on staying in my dreams and getting all the way through a WILD would be greatly appreciated.

Hey there! You've come to the right place!

Once your in a Lucid, take a few minutes to meditate and calm yourself. It can be an exciting and euphoric experiance. Dream Spinning is good, but many find that sitting down and collecting yourself works better. Dont dive right in. Think, clear your mind and concentrate on making the dream vivid and clear, and concentrate on staying in the dream.

WILDing can be tough, but seeing as you seem to have gotten a good way into the WILD, all that can be said is time, patience, and perseverance(sp?).

      Good Luck!

heya, have you checked out the WILD tutorial? there's some good tips in there.

And like exobyte said, just take time out to calm yourself. Remember, it's your dream, and it can last for as long as you want it to.

I often find that simply not thinking about being in a lucid dream helps...sort of treating it like i would reality, but retaining that awareness at the same time, if it makes sense.

Rubbing hands together always helps me. Spinning has never worked for me, i always wake up when I spin. For me the best way to stay in a dream is to get to a small, well lit room. If I am in a large, dark environment then I typically do not stay lucid for more than a minute or two, on some occasions I have had very long LD's in all sorts of environments, but that is on those rare nights.

      Hi,
about the WILDing, don't worry so much. It can take a while to get a technique that will work for you. When you are lying down and lose hearing you are almost there. Don't concentrate on having a WILD at that point, just relax. The Hypnagogic Imagery will start soon, (HI is when small patterns and images start forming in your head) HI will soon start to turn into a dream. At that point say something like "Lucidity times 1,000!" and that may help you to maintain lucidity.

Besides, it can take people weeks or months to lucid dream good, so consider yourself lucky that you catch on so fast
