      Question question/answer

This is going to sound a little off the wall, but I swear this happens-as soon as I close my eyes the visions start instantly,as if I,m watching something on T.V. I'm not even near REM sleep, most nights I have 3 dreams, some nights very long dreams, and sometimes the ones I don't like dreams within dreams, that I sometimes I get trapped in when I wake up from dream and I'm still caught in another.I'm bi-polar and take several medications,I,ve always been an active dreamer in techo color, but now I have control of most aspects of my dreams, that I didn't have before medication,I enjoy this dreaming much more,so does medication affect my dreaming more since my brain chemicals are balanced.I've tried so many medications in the last 3 years and yet the lucid dreams haven't changed from medication to another, if anybody has answers I'm interested in other opinions.

mikill, I have no medical background but, if you're taking medication and you now seem to be able to control most aspects of your dreams.. I can only suppose that your medication may be affecting your dreams.. or.. it could simply be that you're just getting more experienced with lucid dreaming and with that experience came better control.

Sounds like you had some strange dreams before your medication. The part of the brain that creates dreams really shouldn't be effected by being bipolar, it's completely disjoint from that. The addition of chemicals may change your dreams, but I doubt it.
