Possible to get stuck in SP?

So last night I woke up from a dream and didn't move, deciding to try to DEILD. I felt my body start to vibrate and heard a loud humming noise, but then I kind of freaked out because I thought "what if I go into SP, but then don't go into a lucid or fall asleep". What made it worse was that I was in an awkward and uncomfortable position, so I didn't want to be stuck like that for a long time. Then my alarm for school went off so I had to get up anyway, but in the future should I worry about this? If you go into SP then don't fall asleep, how long does it last for?

about 3 minutes max.. may seem like a long time. I could be quite wrong. If you want to wake up open your eyes, or just wiggle your big toe.
if you can read this then you are about to be punched

Can last up to an hour and a half, but only if you suffer from extreme narcolepsy.

Sleep paralysis has never lasted over a minute for me.

By definition, you will be always be 'stuck' in SP. The toe-wiggling and etc. may help, but... yea.

In a normal person, who does not suffer from sleep disorders or ISP, your sleep paralysis episode should not last more than a few minutes, with 8 minutes being at the extreme range. In people who suffer it as ISP, it can last a bit longer. People who have narcolepsy and other sleep disorders, as Paddy said, it can last over an hour. If you're just a random, normal person getting SP, it should not last for a very long time at all.

I'm a very regular sufferer of SP and I've had experiences which have lasted at least 20 minutes... whether or not this is due to some unknown sleep disorder I may have I dunno. But SP usually lasts a lot shorter than it feels and it's very possible to fall alseep during SP without even realising as you still may experience paralysis whilst in the dream.

I don't like SP and whenever it happens I force myself to wake back up. It always works though it's scary and a struggle. This usually only happens when I've very tired and wake up for some reason and then go back to sleep.

I don't think you could ever get stuck in it.

You'll likely wake up or enter a dream.

You won't just stay in SP for hours on end.

haha "Man gets stuck in Sleep Paralysis for 20 years"

Yeah, that feeling that you got that you may get stuck is that "impending doom" feeling that is very common, I always think I'll have a seizure or stop breathing but I'm always ok. Just go with it and think happy thoughts

I don't think it is possible to be stuck in SP for more than a minute or two. I was stuck in it for about 30 seconds once. It's not too bad...
