      Where do I start?

I've already started keeping a dream journal, and I've read through a lot of the tutorials, but I don't know what technique is right for me. I'm not sure about wild or wbtb because once I wake up, I have a hard time going back to sleep. I take lucid dreaming seriously, and I can't wait to have my first ld. Thanks in advance.

Which Technique seems most familiar for you? Which one seems easiest? If they all are the same then you should try every single one of them GL.

Hello MK! A popular starting-technique is the Dream Induced Lucid Dream. You can look it up in the tutorials section for more details, but basically it is getting in the habbit of doing "Reality Checks" (Tests which should succeed in real-life but fail in a dream telling you it is a dream) and recognising dream-signs. This technique is nice because you never have to wake up, and it is actually prety easy. The downer is that it is unpredictable so you can't really plan WHEN to have a lucid dream, as they happen randomly.

      Whatever you choose, good luck!

Yeah I'll look into that one. Im good at using autosuggestion too, Can that be used for LDing? My friend said it can, but i'm not sure.

Autosuggestion is a temporary fix. It's much better to genuinely alter the way you think, most easily accomplished through good reality check habits.

Reality checks will help all lucid dreaming techniques. If you decide to go after WILD, reality checking will ensure that once you succeed in getting into the dream, you know it is a dream, and not a failed WILD attempt. Reality check after any awakening, as this will safeguard you in a similar way from losing lucidity to false awakenings.

The effort, the change in mindset, that results from properly reality checking will last and last. So, do it!

The homepage has tutorials that can help, and there are many on the forums as well.
