      Keep slipping off

      Hi
I have some natural ability so LD occurs about once per 2 months.
whenever I try a MILD and become lucid, the dream seems short and fuzzy. I also have trouble staying lucid, I keep waking up or something. Help?

When you have a LD don't go in it immediately, first try to explore your surroundings. Do RC's, feel the objects, check the colours. Your mind will be focused on the dream world and this will also increase vividness. There's an article on this at the tutorial section, with some good info.

I concur with you, Heimrik. Throughout my journeys in lucid dreaming, I've developed personal methods to help prolonging them. One such method consists of keeping one's eyes peered on as many things as possible; don't let them rest in one particular place or let your thoughts wander. Having a concise plan wrought out aforehand of what to do when a lucid dream occurs may also help, but above all else: remember to remain calm and assertive.

Also: if you notice that your vision is gradually becoming beclouded, keep your eyes busy and try to look at as many things as possible, which will fortunately help you retain lucidity for at least a while longer.

      Good luck, though!
