Haha, Dark. I can definitely sympathize about the fly!!!!

My rave for the day are the multitude of Vape stores here! I've picked up many great flavors... I especially like this one called Razzle on Ice. It's a subtle melon flavor with a lot of mint.
We took a tour with the family earlier and now father and son are running around until tonight when we'll all meet up again for dinner. I'm hoping to find some grilled or fried Saba before we head home.

The granddaughter is awesome. Mom speaks fluent Mandarin (sp) so the little one is bilingual. Hubby's son was learning the language as his daughter was but his pronunciation was so poor that the grandma made him stop speaking it because it was confusing his daughter
This has turned out to be a very nice trip.

I also learned today that I am hopeless when it comes to energy supplements. My step-son has some vita mixer. He makes coffee then adds some Keri (sp) unsalted butter and some powder that gives you a huge pick me up. You mix it all together and it tastes surprisingly great. I was still ready for a nap after drinking a huge cup of it

And I had taken a caffeine pill just a couple hours before the drink oh well, that's me for ya.

Not really a rant, but funny as hell.

Me: Chris, son, since you're learning German, I'll teach you an informal way to say "bye"
      Chris: Ok.
      Me: Tschüß.
      Chris: What?
      Me: TSCHÜß
      Chris: Cheese?
      Me: Loooooooooool
      Chris: looooooool

Ahhh German! Or I should say Deustch I've forgotten most of mine except for a few phrases like alles klar and the was, wo, wie, wer stuff.

      My rant:

Background: I am a cellist that recently graduated. (this rant could end there, because classical music problems ) Listening to Don Juan by Richard Strauass on youtube and the cello part (strings in general) is brutally difficult. And I need to learn it haha. (this is a comical laugh because I don't know how I'll master this excerpt its like the insanity workout for string players) The very beginning run is a standard cello excerpt for auditions and it just flies by, as well as having quite a bit of a range. Not as huge of a range as other excerpts but the speed is what makes it brutal because all the notes have to be in tune and in rhythm. I should start working on it this week again even though I don't have any auditions coming up... anyway, something similar is at the beginning of the third movement of the Verdi Requiem, the Oratorio. Thankfully that cello excerpt doesn't fly by at lightning speed but its still one of the most difficult ones. Imslp has sheet music for the Verdi so was playing through it earlier today even though I sounded horrid lol. At least my reading was better than the last time I looked at it.

      And a rave!

On the plus side, my Bach is getting better! And so is my bow technique. Although progress is gradual I am still glad it is happening haha.

      I hear ya bro.

I did an audition once with "Martern aller Arten" from Mozart's Abduction, and it's crazy runs and arpeggios. What makes it a pain, even if you practice the shit out of it, if you end up with a so-so accompanist, they'll just start playing faster and faster and when you get to the runs at the end, you'll literally get the runs

You gotta be amazing to do the whole aria in under 10 minutes. Beverly Sills did it in 8:16 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sE7dyL-wqXk
      Amazing..

I linked a vey old thread (over 3 yeats old) from Dreamviews to another site because I didn't want to make a big post there and the link would explain it better than I could. Maybe I'm the one you mean.

      If so

I am sorry. I won't link that old thread again. I will explain stuff instead.

The point I was making is that through my avatar and dreams I (and others) perhaps merge with the distant future me (and others).

The fully enlightened future "us" may send powerfull healing energy from the distant future to 2014.

I felt uncomfortable making the link when I saw what someone (later) asked me not to say.

If you are (or know) that someone I apologize. I wont link anything with that name again.

I don't know if I should move that to TTS or what.....

Rant: for years my voice has been mostly great, but had no qualms about being a jackass. I'm working on the pedagogy as we speak. I'll try to record some stuff, but it's not like there's a huge opera karyoke market out there. I mean there ARE, but it's mostly cheesy midi poop. I can play some*. Guess I should work on that too.

Work work work work WORK. I'm ready for the not work part.

      - Read a book I had previously read when I was younger, felt a little more like my former self again (thought patterns, body language, facial expressions, speech patterns, mannerisms, etc). I had a similar experience with two other books from my childhood/adolescence that I came across a few months ago; I'm thinking about testing this further.

      - I remembered that I used to keep myself within a certain emotional range when I was a kid by manipulating my facial muscles in specific ways. I think I might start doing that again.

      - Also remembered that I used to organize/filter information into eight different "planes" (as in levels, layers, tiers, etc) when I was younger - with the first plane handling concrete information in the present moment, and the other planes dealing with higher levels of abstraction. I'm gonna try and track down the book I got the idea from and see if I can get into the habit again.

      - Is it possible for manic episodes to effect the mirror neuron system by "firing up" the mirror neurons more than usual, similar to how the nervous system seems more sensitive during episodes?

And I fucked up some dude's fence while walking back from the library, kicked in a few planks and peed on it. Liberation.

My psychologist isn't going to be happy about the fence thing, I'm not sure if I should bother mentioning it next time I see her. .-.

Nope, Gavin... You gotta tell her everything. Even the embarrassing stuff

My rave is that I ate Saba last night *dances with joy*. It has even been mostly deboned which was awesome but kind of took away from the experience lol. I also learned that it's not as enjoyable when you eat it quickly. It's actually a wee bit nausea inducing because it's such a heavy, oily fish Afterwards, we had Bubble Tea (aka Pearl Tea) which was surprisingly very good. I'd never had it before but remembered my step-daughter raving about it.

I was so exhausted that I fell right to sleep... And so out of it that I completely undressed at some point during the night and had NO memory of doing so it's not uncommon for me to take my shirt partially off, but I've never completely stripped before.

No, not you, i am meaning there is a few handful of people that we just seen appear in this forum trying to indirectly state that this site is used for weird or mental people, i actually read certain posts that were very, red flags. Not a lot of people that i know like you liked the posts, what i see is people trying to troll because they knew a certain someone that comes here and gives out indirect negative thoughts.
I personally, don't like it and it doesn't feel "community based" and it doesn't seem like these few people know what they are saying, they are just spitting in the wind trying to get a rise out of certain people.

      I feel much better.

I don't mean to troll. But I got put on the disability pension in 2001 with a diagnosis of "Dissociative Disorder with imaginitive reconstruction and Borderline Personality". The old name for that is "Multiple Personality". I got told I got three.

Post number 98. It is a thingy about "Dreaming with the Other" I hope to register but it cost $45/50. But it sounds very interesting.

I've been to 6 (2008 to 2013) but I was only at 2012 for 2 hours when they kicked me out and refunded my $45. They are very strict...

Blac... I am home. My room smells like mildew, like someone spilled a great deal of water in here, mopped it up with a towel and left it. Can't find the source and it's driving me batty...

Gah!!!!! I just spent the last 2 hours or so mediating arguments between Destinee and Miley I haven't even eaten yet because they've been fighting this whole time. I was going to post about my trip but now it's going to have to wait lol

I don't even notice targeted ads anymore. So long as they're discreet and out of the way, they don't bother me. Maybe I should see what they say some time and have a good laugh

I slept forever earlier. I couldn't sleep on the plane coming back. My legs ached too badly. Hubby snored away though, lol, so I made him drive. As always, I woke up several times with a gasp or soft shrill because I thought he was going to kill us He slams on the brakes too much, even burned them up a little (could smell them as I took his suitcase inside). But what's usually a 3 1/2 hour drive, took him 2 hours

My rant is that while I was gone, the kids took my speakers to listen to music as they cleaned. NO, hobos! i have my system set up JUST so and the wires are a pain in the butt to string behind everything and they didn't even try to when they were through and plugged everything into the front of the computer. Then Destinee had a friend over, in my room and they dropped my earbuds and lost one of the ?? soft things that go over the speaker. Then Destinee took my sheet to use as a curtain and thought she'd be slick by putting another white sheet on my bed and setting my yarn on it as I had before I left. I KNOW my sheets. Nice try, try again.

She and Miley were at it so much when I got home and Destinee is the aggressor (but of course doesn't see it that way) and was posturing and got really close to Miley. I finally told them that they're adults now and can't wail on each other like they did when they were kids and that if they can't get along they can move out. I pointed out that the trailer (actually a modular home but trailer is much easier to type and say, lol) is a large one and they don't even have to cross each others paths unless they try What the heck.

One of the other kittens is dying. I should smother him and put him out of his misery. He looks like a walking skeleton with poop stains down his back legs I keep hoping he'll get better, though. I think they have distemper. If he recovers, he'll have an immunity to it. Poor babies. I think Fluffybutt died because even though she was 8 months old or so, the turkey kept nursing off the mom. Climber (the mom) has made a full recovery. Too bad she didn't pass the cure in her breast milk as she likely had passed the illness.
All I know is that after all of this, I'm not taking in any more strays. I can't afford to take them to the vet and they just multiply and die or run off.

I've not seen Jagger yet. She was another 8 month old occasional nurser. She wasn't nearly as bad as Fluffybutt though, yet I still fear the worse. She's a beautiful cat.

A rave is that I bought myself a new lamp. Oh yeah... because Destinee took one of mine while I was away. I could have taken it back, but I've been wanting a new one anyhow. It's an architect lamp. Got it for $15. and it's amazing. I didn't put the shade on it because I tend to melt them (I use 100 watt instead of the recommended 40-60) and it gives off even more light because of it.

Now I need a shower. Then I'll listen to some more of my Zombie Podcast. I REALLY like it. I wish the episodes were longer though

Oh yes. I almost forgot about one of the more exciting parts of the trip.
I was afraid hubby was going to get us kicked off of our flight.
Flyers are allowed 2 carry-ons. I knew I was pushing it when I left, but it's never been a big deal before. I brought a small suitcase/computer bag type carry-on and a large backpack. But I always wear my large fanny pack. It was previously held that a woman could have 2 carryons and a purse. I also never take it off so it's viewed, by some, to be an article of clothes.
We left Pittsburgh with no problems whatsoever.

Along the way, I discovered it's easier to just keep my iPad bag out. It's just a little wider than the iPad, is strapped and I could slide it in the back of the suitcase/computer bag where the handle slips in and out. I didn't think to slide it in there as we boarded the San Fran. airport. I was stopped for having 4 carry-ons. I slid the iPad in that spot, but no, not good enough. It had to go INSIDE. Okay... no real biggy, there was plenty of space inside of everything it's just easier. I don't like clogging up boarding and seating with getting stuff out. I grumbled a bit under my breath but hubby laid into the poor lady, pointing out that we left this way and no one cared, so why is she giving us a hard time.

While I repacked, another lady passed us carrying something like 5 bags and hubby pointed her out "Why aren't you doing anything about her?"
I tried diffusing everything with the stewardess (?) and thanked her for her patience etc etc. but then the lady hubby outed was passively agressively telling her friend "Some people need to just worry about themselves" and I could FEEL hubby about to boil over, so I just said "We only wanted some justice [wrong friggin word, stupid]. There shouldn't be double standards and there should be consistency." But I agreed with her that hubby shouldn't have acted like a kid by pointing her out.

BTW, she was allowed to board with her many carry-ons because they were duty-free purchases from inside the airport

Boy... that was a long story about absolutely nothing

      **EDIT**
I had to put the little one out of his misery. He fought to the bitter end, but there was no way he was recovering from his sickness which, in the end, seemed flesh eating (but not mange... maybe fungal or bacterial?). Now I'm bawling my eyeballs out.
NO MORE friggin strays!!!!!! It's just too heartbreaking!!!!!
Now I need to find the survivors homes or take them to the pound. I will not go through that again and they shouldn't have to either (if it came to that).
Mom lost her entire litter. Only she and 2 of her nieces remain (2 8 month olds)

and I have to go on another friggin trip in just 6 hours. Gah! That's the last thing I want to do right now!!

Bah, I hate when I fuck up at work. Really, I haven't fucked up before. And this wasn't even that bad I guess, but it bugs me. Pretty sure I've mentioned this before, but I'm a quality auditor in a factory. A few machines I just check twice a night. I did the first check and all looked good to me. Did the second check near the end of the night, and there was a problem. I went back to the previous rack, that one was bad. The one before that also bad. And the one before that. So, all of them were bad. The operator's checks were all bad as well. So I decided to look for my original check.

I know I checked it, but I missed it. It wasn't very bad, and I can see why I missed it. It's almost not noticeable without looking, but looking is essentially my job. It just bums me out because if I had caught it initially, he would've just had a few parts to replace and it would've still been a good night of production. Instead, the whole shift was a wash and it'll take another half shift to fix everything.

I suppose I could've done what I know other quality auditors have done--that being get rid of my initial check (we mark the parts we check to hold ourselves accountable). But I left it for any higher-ups to see because it's not fair to the operator if we both messed up but only he's blamed. So I'll guess I'll see if anything comes of it tomorrow.

Ba, what? Minecraft's been running like a dog for me lately, so I decided to re-install it. Loaded up my save, and my inventory and all chests are wiped. No items. wtf

Man... I didn't know James Garner died 5 days ago One of my favorite dude actors of all time. I loved him best in Rockford Files ofc (so weird that I changed my location to that like a week before he died), and Victor/Victoria.

He didn't have fancy weapons or MMA fighting skills. If you were in the wrong, you got a punch. And then ya'll could go to the bar and have a drink, np.

Today was very sad, a good man passed away suddenly.

It was an accident I'm told, but the loss is just devastating to me, and even more so to his family and loved ones. He was a kind soul...super smart, talented, funny and upbeat. He would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it.

I can't stop crying because I had intended to thank him properly and tell him about how when I watched him welding...I was so fascinated by it that I felt perhaps I had lost my calling. I had the opportunity to but didn't act on it, and now I'll never get another chance to.

It wouldn't change what happened of course, but I just wish I had been able to share that with him. Donny was there for me in my time of need and I feel so ashamed at never thanking him enough. Not even close. He deserved better.

And the way people were gawking and talking about it made me absolutely sick. Those people should be ashamed of themselves. This is not reality tv, a good man just tragically lost his life and his family and friends are devastated. Please, show some respect.

At LEAST have the common sense to not cause additional accidents with your excessive rubbernecking you heartless assholes.

It's just all wrong and sad and overwhelming to me. First Ronny, now Donny. My pain is nothing though compared to what the families of these people have been through, and that is what is truly frightening.

Yikes! Is this how expensive all TV shows are? I finished the first book of Game of Thrones and decided to watch it. I'm pretty out-of-the-loop in terms of TV/movies I suppose, so apparently I was wrong in thinking I could just restart Netflix for $8 and watch the season. So I figured I'd just look into buying it digitally or physically. But both options are near $40. Ouch. I'll pass.

So, I'm still going to watch Game of Thrones. Just, HBO won't be getting my money for it.

I normally prefer to support 'art' when I can, which is why I still buy music I want to listen to. But $40 for a single season (which came out over 3 years ago) just seems absurd, especially considering I'll likely watch it once and never again. If HBO wasn't so stingy and allowed their shows on Netflix, they'd be making money off of me right now. Oh well.

If you liked the books, I'd say you should stick to the books first. Or if you like the series, stick with those. Mixing the two wont bring much good, at least not in opinion.
Especially in season 4 the producers seem quite liberal in editing parts of the series that don't happen like they do in the books.
