Thread: Rant and Rave, Cry and Complain

I reaaally wish I could trade you right now. Or at least even it out a bit. 90s all over the place, even though it's supposed to be October.

I love when the weather cools off and I'm crazy about snow. Winter has become my favorite time of year. Everything is so fresh and clean. It's weird but Winter symbolizes rebirth to me (instead of Spring).
I will NOT be happy when the plumbing freezes however.

I had a long day. I had to take my son to the local Sheriffs Dept., took the girls to a job interview then to donate plasma, took my son to his counseling, picked the girls up, then home. Gah! We left at noon and didn't make it back until almost 8:30. While my son was in counseling, I was hit hard by fatigue, so I napped in the car. His counseling was 2 hours this week instead of the usual 1 hour, and I slept for most of it. Someone was even outside my car, sweeping the sidewalk, but I just kept on snoozing lol

I'm leaving at 10:30 tomorrow to go back to the plasma center so my daughter can donate (Paula did so today, but DD lacked a proof of identity), and then Paula has to return a phone she traded at Radio Shack. They're giving me money for gas, then I'm taking them to work. And here I thought tomorrow would be a nice, lazy day. I really don't want to be running around, but I'm a sucker

Before we left today, I saw the weirdest thing. I walked past our RV and saw something sticking out from the edge of the "hood". It was a bug, upsidedown. I looked closer and it was a praying mantis. What the heck? He was stuck So I got some junk mail and a stick and I scootched him up the where the crack was wider. I got him out and set him in the grass. How he managed that is beyond me. He was REALLY wedged in there.
When I set him in the grass, I spoke for him: "Gee, lady, thanks a lot... it took me all day to get there and you ruined it." I really do think he was stuck though.

The puppy is pooping all over the house and my DD is not keeping up with it He's a little brat, but gorgeous. He's supposedly part Black Lab, part Plott. But he's not Brindle at all, but a sleek and shiny black. He keeps mounting my dog, trying to assert his dominance (he's wayyy too young to mate), but Keira keeps giving him hell He's napping in my room right now. Little turd. If he was housebroken, I'd take him in a heartbeat. As it is, I'll be happy when he leaves.

It feels like summer in Bangalore right now... actually it's even hotter than summer. The climate is going crazy. But I'm loving the heat because I can continue wearing my summer clothes and there's no need for a sweater.

I stopped going to counselling and decided to sort things on my own. I had been going there secretly but today I told my sister, after she said that she herself was going to the psychologist secretly. But she definitely needs it more than I do, as she's getting married in a few months to a guy she doesn't like.

I need a haircut and I want to take the risk of cutting my own hair. It's very long, so there's enough length to experiment with. I also want blue highlights, but bleaching it white seems like a pain. My hair is the blackest kind of black, so I'm not even sure how light it can go. If I make it light brown and dye it blue, i'll end up with a greenish colour. But green isn't bad either.

It's a 4-day weekend, everyone's vacationing and I'm at home because I couldn't get a bamboo hut in Hampi. Also, Oct 2 is a dry day, so I have to wait till tomorrow for the liquor store to open. Meh -_-

I just cut my own hair again. Totally fucked it up. I should upload a pic lol
I bought some new clippers and it has this mechanism that I thought was cool, to make it longer or shorter, instead of swapping out the different length things.
It's bad. It gets pushed down too easily and I shaved way too short on the back.

Ah well.

Rant: I have to do another lab report and they literally told us nothing. Just like.... here's this data we collected, write a report.
WHAT? That's not how it works. You form a hypothesis and THEN collect the data to test it. It just makes no sense to do it this way. Doesn't teach us anything.

Oh, and a good thing.... I finally booked appointment with the optometrist. Only took a few years to get around to doing that lol.

Don't you live in the city? I didn't think they still had arranged marriages there. I know it's common in the villages, but I thought that sort of thing was phased out in the larger cities. .-.

I'm gonna try some easy method of layer-cutting I saw on youtube. Hope it works!

@gavin. I live in the city, my family lives in the village.
I'm sure that even in the cities, 90% of the people still have arranged marriages. I barely know anyone who has had a non-arranged marriage and no one at all in my family. We even have the traditional bride-seeing and I seem to be the only one who finds it humiliating. They've already started making profiles for me in the matrimonial magazines and websites; hopefully my blue hair will ward off parents of prospective grooms.

Had to take part in a debate about Capitalism today. It made me cry when things got personal because I've cost my family a lot of money by not being able to move because I'm in the middle of a crutial 2 year exam period and my boyfriend's family can't afford to feed themselves and I don't know what I'm going to do next year and it all got too much.

I'm exhausted. No reason for it either.
The girls were fired because they took off work yesterday to go to that interview Who knows what they're going to do now.

I took the dogs for a walk last night and tonight. Duke's a little monster on a leash. My shoulder is sore from constantly keeping the leash tight.
And he keeps eating my spit. What the heck. When I'm outside, I spit (if no one's around- it's not very lady like after all ) Weirdo (him, not me )

I'm also a bit nauseous. I bought some Java e-juice but it's 24 mg. Gah! I even diluted it with some 10 and 0 mgs and it's still too strong. What's worse is the flavor is too bitter (like coffee ) I mixed it with vanilla and flavorless but it's still too much. I really wish my card would get loaded so I can buy some proper e-juice!

My haircut's done. I chopped off 10 inches of hair. It looks fine, but I caught cold because I kept wetting my hair (and head) throughout the process.

How can you catch a cold by wetting your hair and head?

By pouring water on your head for 2 hours and not drying it afterwards. Temperature changes weaken your immune system or something.

Fortunately here is never really cold, which is good since I HATE cold weather. As others said it depresses me, it's like cold, grey and dark, makes you go into a bleak state, want to do nothing at all, just stay in bed until summer arrives once again. Ugh, damn autumn, damn winter.

ANYWAY. I started college this week and it was nice. A lot of people tho, at the moment we are like 110, but there's another group not supossed to be there. I met a few people but not really, I mean, talked to them and stuff but they're like... my ''style'', you know, so I'm a bit off these days. Matter of time I guess.

A rave is that I was invited to go to the movies tonight with one of hubby's techs. She loves scary movies but no one ever goes with her, so she calls me We're going to watch Annabelle.
I'm going to see if she can put the word out for people interested in a puppy. I'm going to get attached and I don't need that.

The movie was okay. It was slow and I could have lived not seeing it, but it was nice seeing how the story began.
A major rant, once again, is spiders. I was standing in the doorway before I left, letting the dogs outside. I felt a little pinch on my leg and thought a flea was in my sock. I lifted my skirt to look and It was the biggest spider yet, at least the size of a quarter I think I'm about to give up on skirts. I'll have to learn to be comfortable in jeans!

Omg I want to watch Annabelle! But it's releasing only after 2 weeks. And yeah, I'll be going alone because no one ever comes for scary movies.

So the online liquor store wouldn't accept my order because it came below the minimum bill amount. I had to add 3 bottles of wine and a bottle of vodka to reach the amount. That's enough for a few years, I rarely drink. And I hesitated to go ahead with the order. By night, I cancelled it and spent that money on these little beauties :

Mildew, mildew, mildew, everywhere!!! There's one little tiny spot on that corner... look, next to the window, that's not a spider.. that's another mold spot!!! Behind the closet, there must be a huge colony there... take all the pictures out of the walls, it's a mildew nursery there!!! Call 911, call the firefighters!!! I've already called Superman...

Shit! Lot of time without a single LD and last night I have a false awakening and miss the opportunity!

Annabelle was way better than it should have been. It wasn't on the level of The Conjuring, which was a lot more compelling, but it was good.

I love Autumn as well; it's always so quiet this time of year.

Another rant is that I was stung by something in my sleep and I'm having a slight reaction to it. My wrist is blotchy red with a single tiny stinger hole in the center. When I first woke it was a little itchy, but not anymore. Stupid insects
Last night my bird woke me up. He was hissing at something in his cage. I looked but didn't see a thing. Either that or the mouse was on my desk and freaked him out I've never seen any mousey "presents" on my desk though, so I doubt it was him. I've not even heard from the mouse for several days. There was, however, a headless mouse in the livingroom the other day. Perhaps the cats found him?

Hubby and I watched Maze Runner yesterday. It was friggin awesome. Hubby hated it though lol. I absolutely loved it. MUCH better than Annabelle

Same, I hate summer with a passion because I lived in a very hot place that was miserable save for two months of the year: October and November.
