Ugh... there's a stray pit bull hanging around. I made the mistake of giving him some love. He rushed inside, made friends with the dogs, got into a scuffle with Duke, was hyper as heck and got sent back outside. Now he's sitting on the porch howling. And Duke's whining, wanting his new buddy to come back inside and my daughter's whining, saying the dog's too skinny and cold.
wE CANNOT AFFORD any more stinkin animals. I am not the rescue mission. I can barely feed the brood we have now and forget about vet visits

But it still makes me feel lousy.
Unless he was a dump, he'll make his way home soon enough. I just worry that he was dumped because I've never seen him before. I don't want to call the pound on him because they're a kill shelter. They can kill them as soon as they get them with no wait. If he's still around tomorrow, I'll leave some food for him outside then go around and ask the neighbors.

Feel better soon crashyy and enjoy your trip. Take some dramamine (sp) for motion sickness. It would make you sleepy, but you shouldn't feel ill.

Glad you're making progress with your puppy, Deery.
I'll have to try the meditation audios... or get back into my binaurals. I just really hate earbuds and don't have anything else.

Rant: I have a Ducks Unlimited event to go to tomorrow night. Gah! Why was hubby suckered into buying 2 tickets to represent our town? Which means I HAVE to do laundry today and tomorrow.
We also have our Early's Auction trip NEXT WEEK I thought I still had weeks.

Another rant is that I took some Sleep Aid last night. It's the generic equilivant (equivilent GAH!) of something called "Simply Sleep"). It made me sleepy in about 40 minutes but my legs ached so fiercely I only slept for 20 minutes. I was still incredibly sleepy. so I took some Naproxin and after about an hour, I went back to bed. I got in a good 8 hours but all I want to do is crawl back to bed. My legs STILL ache though.
Friggin annoyance!!! It feels like a toothache, but in your legs instead. It's just a constant, unrelenting dull pain. I always have it and have since forever. Some days are terribly worse than others though and this is one of those times.
I can't take ibuprofen at all any more (stomach) and everything else isn't as good.

Had a scare tonight with one of the college kids at work. She was a no show for her shift which, whatever, college kid on a friday night - it's a headache for me, but nothing to worry about. Then, a few hours later, her mom shows up to pick her up, and hasn't heard from her either. Half an hour later she calls, and she slept through her shift. Her mom woke her up pounding on the door of her dorm room. I was almost too relieved to be pissed about the shit I didn't get done while I was covering the front desk. Almost.

If you have a sense of caring for others, you will manifest a kind of inner strength in spite of your own difficulties and problems. With this strength, your own problems will seem less significant and bothersome to you. By going beyond your own problems and taking care of others, you gain inner strength, self-confidence, courage, and a greater sense of calm.Dalai Lama

Damn irresponsible kids! Granted, I am one. But I generally just get annoyed with most people my age or younger. Which actually leads to a rave--there are only 14 people (including me) in the electronics course, which apparently is a tad larger than normal. But no annoying fresh-out-of-high-school twerps! At 25, I might actually be the youngest one there, which is perfect since I seem to get along better with people older than me. And the two teachers for this semester both seem pretty cool--both are hard-ass vets that will not hesitate to bust your balls, but it's all in good humor and I like their philosophy on teaching. In general, the whole environment is leaps and bounds better than the community college, at least in regards to my personal taste.

Glad the girl was safe and sound. She's probably embarrassed half to death

Glad you like your class Sefalik.

My rave is that I went to Goodwill yesterday to look for something to wear tonight. And I loved the very first thing I looked at- which was very fortuitous because 2 college girls were close by working their way toward me, grabbing up lots of items lol.
I thought it was a dress. I went into the dressing room and tried it on and it didn't feel quite right. Then I realized the fold over was actually for another leg So, not a dress but a jumpsuit with wide legs. It has a plunging neckline but buttons at the very top for a sort of peek-a-boo effect. It's dressy without being too formal. Smart-casual?
Then I found a pair of spike-heeled thigh boots. I'll have to wear 2 pairs of socks because they're a tad too big, but the shoes and dress (errr... not a dress), look great together. And because of the wide legs, you can't tell they're "hooker boots"
I also picked up 2 bras which I'm not going to use because you really can't with that neckline.

All in all, I spent under $15.

Rant: The pantsuit is dry-clean only. I NEVER buy dry clean only because I can't afford them. This is definitely not an outfit I can live in.

And rant is that my legs were killing me again last night. Why the heck do my legs always kill me right as I'm trying to sleep. I know why. Because when I'm awake, I bounce the crap out of them so they don't bug me. This seems more severe than "Restless leg syndrome". My legs are restless 24/7. Unless I'm sitting on them (which I'm doing less and less), I'm bouncing them
I already take a potassium supplement as well as Gingko Bilboa- which used to help. I'm also taking Tart Cherry which is good for joints and helps my toe.... but does nothing for my restless legs.

I read up on RLS last night, and my complain is different too. I don't have the crawling, itching or burning sensation or "deep bone itch" that people complain about. Mine is a deep bone ACHE

Anyhow... after 2 hours, I finally fell asleep and I stayed asleep. the sleep aid must do something because I didn't move for at least 6 hours (I tried sleeping with a pillow between my legs). And it was fairly decent sleep too... except for the dreams Dreamed of getting into a huge fight with my youngest over pets and poop in some huge laundry room. I was the one getting yelled at
Had another stress dream, but I've forgotten it.

A friend of Destinee came over and picked up the stray yesterday. They're probably taking him to the pound because he fights with their other dogs...
Oh, I didn't update that bit. I went over to the neighbor to see if he was his or if he knew where the dog came from. He didn't and then went on to say he had called the sheriff on him because a pack of dogs attacked a woman walking with her grandson the other night. The pack was made up of about 6 dogs. Half were pitbull/great dane mixes the other half were hound dogs. The hound dogs went at the lady. She held her grandson (3 years old) in the air as the dogs lunged and bit her. She didn't need any stitches, but she had lots of punctures and needs the rabies shots now.
Our neighbor thought the stray might have been part of that pack.

The stray wasn't aggressive at all, but he was exceptionally hyper. *shrugs* Too bad he didn't work out with the friend. He's a weird boy (huge pit bull head with a smaller body- looks comical). He's bigger than my Keira who is a pit/black lab mix. And the stray was still a puppy!

      Gah... time to find food.

Similar rant: I'm finally wearing some newer clothes that fit me well and look good on me, and I generally look SO hot right now that I'd fuck myself in half a second, but now I need to find guys who are my age. Any guys, anywhere near my age. This is way harder than online dating.

      Hell no.

Even the guys who ask me keep finding faults with my body. It will be even worse if I'm the one asking.

Wait a second, guys who are actually trying to get with you are still criticizing you?? Are they asking you on dates or just catcalling you?

Not in the beginning, usually after a date or two.

Edit: My ex kept doing it throughout the time he was with me (2 years or so)

What exactly do they say, if you don't mind me asking? And why would they not realize the "faults" before dating you in the first place?

I don't want to talk about it.

And again, the reason I want to be attractive is to be attractive. I'm not doing it to get dates. I'm tired of people just tolerating my ugliness because they like my personality.

Went to the event tonight and it went really well. Hubby liked my outfit and I discovered I like something I never would have dreamed of: Hard Cider. There was an open bar and the soda tasted flat so I asked the bartender if he had anything weak and sweet. He recommended Angry Orchards and I went with Cinnful Apple. I ended up drinking 2 bottles!!

I raced out before the end of the auction though because my duodenitis was absolutely killing me. Don't know if it was the alcohol, the cherry tomatoes I ate before the food, or the cinnamon in the alcohol but something killed my stomach.
Hubby ended up driving us home which never happens, lol, and was really nice. It was difficult driving in those spiked heels!

Here's two pics of me. One is just to show off my outfit. The other will be my updated profile pic if I can shrink it nicely.

      Spoiler for Full pic:

      Spoiler for Head Shot:

Hubby suggested I take off my lanyard before we got there, but I didn't take off my cape until the end so I didn't bother. It does look rather out of place lol
Now I must clean off my bed and pass out
      Goodnight DV

This may sound really cliche, but it seems like the only person who really thinks you're ugly is you. You don't "get more attractive". You realize that you're already attractive, and have been all along.

New neighbors moved in upstairs, total assholes. They have a baby and another child, and the walls/ceilings in here are paper thin. They constantly stomp around making the whole apartment shake, their baby keeps crying, and their other child runs around like crazy. Asking them to keep it down did nothing, then they had the balls to keep calling the cops on US for noise complaints even though we were not loud, was just playing some music at regular tv volume. Guess the c*nt just wanted to get back at me for calling her a shitty parent. Then the cop decides to pull power play on me and entered my apartment illegally and arrested me, charged me with interfering? or something. I spent like 12 hours in jail, had to pay $150 and loan $750, have court on my bf's birthday, and I didn't even do anything wrong. Now I also have to lawyer up, which is going to cost much more. I'd be content if all of their heads suddenly exploded up there. And that disrespectful cop too.

Here's a joke for you guys: the american justice system.

Today they were stomping around up there again so the bf did the ol' broom thing on the ceiling. Their response? Jump up and down with a lot of force. What the sht.

We also JUST re-signed our lease last month for a full year, and we're going to have to move out, because they're impossible to live with, so they're going to cost us like 5 grand for just moving here and being total wastes of oxygen.

Anju, try not to surround yourself with vain asshats who don't appreciate true beauty and what it means to be a decent human. Physical attraction only gets a person so far.

No real rants here. I was going to do laundry tomorrow, but looks like I'll put it off to the last second and do it on Tuesday. I fell asleep from 9-11PM and my son has an appointment at 1. I'll probably end up crashing from 8AM until the appointment and then I imagine it would be too late to get any laundry done because business should pick up by that time. *shrug*

Because you're hanging around too many retards. It could also be a cultural thing, I remember the last time I went to India to visit family, most of the guys I ran into were shallow as fuck.

I broke down and bought a case of Angry Orchard. It's a variety pack, unfortunately, but it's the only thing I've found so far (haven't tried our one actual liquor store yet though).
I discovered something incredible. Alcohol makes my legs stop aching for a good while. They're still restless, but that may now be habit more than anything. The pain, however, gets down to a good solid 1 instead of the 6 it's usually at 24/7 for the last several years.
My curiosity got the better of me and it seems to be arthritis related after all. Alcohol seems to irritate a lot of people with RLS, but it helps as a pain reliever for people with rheumatoid arthritis. Who knew...
And, so far, my stomach seems to tolerate it. It must have been the tomatoes (or a combination of too many things at once) that did me in.

Alcohol is weird. I sip everything (except water, which I hate lol). It would take me 2-3 hours to finish one 12 oz. bottle of hard cider. Within the first 15 minutes of sipping, I'm ready for bed. But if I'm determined not to waste the bottle and force myself to stay awake, the fatigue goes away after an hour and then I can't sleep

My question: If I start drinking for pain, will I have to start drinking MORE as time goes on? I have no problem drinking 1 bottle a day. If I have to start drinking more for the same effect, however, I'd rather not get started down that road.

My rant: I've still not done my laundry. And I'm not going to right now either. I'm going back to bed. Which means, I HAVE to do it tonight or tomorrow morning. We leave at 1AM Thursday. I don't know why I cannot make myself get this done.

      everyone

Generally speaking, self-medicating with alcohol can leave you open to risk of developing alcoholism. I'm no doctor, but I personally wouldn't recommend relying on that to alleviate the pain. =/

well now, dagonnit. That's what I'm afraid of. For me, Tylenol is tylenol, for instance. I take 1-2 depending on severity, but it's ALWAYS 1-2.
But I know some things, like valium and didrex start requiring a higher and higher dose for the same effect. That's what I'm trying to avoid.
Which sucks. Because alcohol has been friggin miraculous
Nursing a 12 oz bottle for 2-4 hours (yeah, I'm a very slow drinker lol) alleviates this pain for at least 6-8 hours if not more (I've not really kept that close of track of it yet).

My kidneys or whatever don't like me drinking though. Unless it's incedental. Like I said, I've not been keeping too close of track. I don't want to get too invested if I have to abandon this course.
I've been having a very low grade lower backache. It's probably dehydration. I'm now trying to drink water as I nurse my cider.

A rant/rave is that I just helped deliver 2 kittens. Squirmy is a first time mom. She wouldn't eat through the cord. Poor little guy was hanging from her forever as she moved about trying to figure out what the heck was going on. Then I kicked all the animals except for her and the bird out of my room, cut the cord, and insisted she stay in the tupperware box. she wants to be on the floor- right in front of my door. But the floor is uncarpeted and cold.
She didn't remove the film off the second kitten, so I had too. She keeps meowing at me for reassurance.

When she first started going into labor she wanted in my room (she rarely does) and I let her. She tried cuddling up to Keira (the pitbull mix) but Kierra was having none of it, lol. So BB, one of the younger cats, came in, cuddled up to Duke and Squirmy cuddled against BB. I had an animal pile going on

I'm trying to stay up all night. going to do my laundry as soon as the laundromat opens, and then I'm going to sleep for a few hours, ozonate my car, sleep for a few more hours. We'll leave at around 1-2AM
I guess I'll put the mom and baby's in Destinee and Paula's room. cats, in the past, always found a safe place to have their babies BEFORE having them. Squirmy has been clueless about this whole thing apparently. But she can't stay in here while I'm gone or she'll get at my bird.

I was sitting in English class minding my own business.
It's April 1st so you know, high alert for any shenanigans.
Girlfriend texts me saying that we should break up.
I think to myself, "Hah, that's funny. It's April 1st! Nobody does that on April 1st! Too risky."
      Realized she was serious.
      I don't like this.
Got up out of class and just left.
      110% done.

      Dat bitch Sorry Dezz.

My son washed his iPhone in the laundry. Now it's hopefully recovering in a bed of rice.
