I"m going to have to try that, Wobly. It's just silly to continuously run out of them.
Crashyy. Is it possible to try a different doctor, clinic or hospital? It's ridiculous that they haven't gotten your problem fixed by now.
Erii. Hope life has been treating you wonderfully
Oneiroer do you ENJOY art and music?
Rave: No headache at all today. I wonder just how much that moldy straw was contributing.
Rant: I threw out my back in a major way. Hubby's feeling overwhelmed with lawyer crap and a million other things he's been having to tackle. One of the things on his list was yard work. Ivy has been taking over the brick on his house and some flowering bushes. Trees have been growing where they shouldn't be. I told him I could tackle the yard chores so he could tackle the lawyer crap.
What. was. I. thinking
For two hours or so, I pulled down the ivy and pruned it where it cemented to the house... I sawed down 3 sturdy saplings (? about 4- 5 feet tall but thin). I was SITTING down when I sawed the last 2. I was getting very over heated so I decided to go home and take a break when WHAM!- I couldn't stand straight. Any time I tried, spasms would strike. I have never before made so many grunting and groaning noises when trying to move.
I had to go to walmart. Leaning completely over the cart (resting on my forearms), there was very little back pain at all. The moment I had to stand though, GAH!
I have no idea what I did to myself, but I'm not liking it one bit.
Rant: we're starting to get house flies I still swear the little fiends bite me. But they're NOT horse flies. I guess they're mutants

Goodnight, DV.
Holy smoke. You could sort out your back first by lying on the ground with a nice warm blanket in a beautiful room and practice reality checks. Pain is great when you treat it well and can help to enhance the experience of the RC. A few minutes at a time can be worth a lot and reinvigorate everything. We love you. xox Danny.

I've seen the same thing next to a river when people were cooking meat on a grill, maybe they weren't the same kind of fly but they bit. Father and I decided to not go riding our terra trikes there because of it.
Thanks Danny. I ended up sleeping like a baby When I'm laying down or sitting, my back doesn't bother me much at all.
Whatever they are, 101Volts, they need to go away My room is pretty isolated from the rest of the house. They rarely bug me unless my kids stand in my doorway talking to me and one or two whiz in.
There was a hornet on my floor earlier. My rant is that I smushed him. I dislike killing even annoying insects, but one stung me last year and I wasn't about to have a repeat of that.
Rant: My arms are super sore today. Yanking on those vines must've been quite the work out for this couch potato. Even making a loose fist is sore
My back still hurts, but not as badly as yesterday, so that's a rave.
Rant/rave: took Paula for an interview today. It took an hour! I dropped her off, picked up McD's and a soda then went back to wait on her. I eventually laid my seat back and napped for a good 45 minutes.
She was offered a salary position at a boys group home. She just has to pass the background check and get finger printed. Hopefully, she'll start very soon and get a new car soon after. Taxi service will mostly come to an end then
Rant-ish. I go to Walmart for my shopping tonight. I am still not up to too much walking. The rave is that I'll also go to the vape shop for some more Klone Berries. I REALLY like that Sugar Maple the lady gave me last time. I'm up for a freebie this week too, so I'll get another bottle of it.
Rave: My McD's Big Breakfast with Hotcakes was amazing. I ate everything but the biscuit (the dog always gets it). It was cold by the time I got to it, but that didn't slow me down in the least lol

Yeah.I get 3 meds and it's 20 miles (40 miles round trip) to the pharmacy for me so I had the doctor prescribe them 90 at a time (3 months) which costs the same co-pay as 30, The drugstore puts them on autofill and calls me when they're ready, My insurance says I can also have them mailed to me just by calling them which I may get lazy enough to try

And Danny is right!, "Grandma said so, A night on the boards will fix it" so I used to spend a night on the floor when that happened, But I had a nice, soft, comfy, wallowed out bed, Then I got a hard flat mattress and found it was the support sagging instead but either way it has been gone almost forever..
Hello everyone, long time no see. life outside the internet got hetic for a while.
I finally got a diagnosis for a skin problem I had for a while and didn't bother to show to my doctor because who care about itchy dry patchs that randomly crack and bleed (why yes, I'm dumb as a box of rocks when it comes to my health) and I have a traitment for it, hourray. The eventual secondary effects are slightly terrifying, but hourray.
Rave: Got 46/50 on a presentation that I wasn't prepared for.
Rant: Advising at my college. Pain in the donkey. I email for an advising session and they say I missed the open advising weeks. Oh, I'm sorry, did I miss the email about the open advising weeks being the only time we could get advising. The art department only emails me with spam about five times per day. Why the heck aren't there full time advisors that you can go see any time you need to.
Wobly, I sleep on a desk. It has a metal base with a "wood" top. It must be about 5 feet long because my feet dangle off the end unless I lay catty-corner. It's about 2-3 feet wide and very hard and sturdy I lay several blankets and a sheet down to pad it some but it's still as hard as a floor with cheap carpet. And I love it. Been sleeping on it for at least 3 years now. Beds and air mattresses always did my back in. I kept a backache.
The first several weeks took some getting used. My hips killed me more than anything else lol (I tend to sleep in a ball on my side).
Anyhow... my back is still bothering me. I finally broke down and took some Ibuprofen earlier this evening. It still almost only hurts when I stand straight, or lean to grab something. Sitting on my butt playing games and watching TV doesn't bother me (much )
But... rant: I had to taxi everyone around today. My son had an appointment at 9:45, so I figured I just wouldn't sleep at all. Paula had to follow up with her job prospect but no one was at the office. I JUST laid down to sleep at 1PM when they called her to come in
Rant/Rave: she starts work on Friday... in the next town over (25 minute drive each way). EFEKNSKNCLSKSKHJI!!! She's good with paying me though (after she gets her first check on the 15th ) We have no idea where EXACTLY it is (the next town over covers a lot of ground) or when her hours will be. If she has an early shift I just might lose it.
to all
Grats on the job offer Sefalik! Will you take it?
Milly. I'm like that too. Get better soon.
Grats on the pass Jade! Sorry about the work headaches though.
Rant: Now I can't sleep. Paula and Destinee have appointments in the AM (doctors). Ugh................
Missed a day for work, even though I was supposed to be off for today, so I might have to make it up Friday. It's the random flooding that occurred that just made it impossible to get to work without the vehicle getting totaled. And, the vehicle I'm using at the moment is going to die at some point, anyway.
But, I managed to find a vehicle a few days ago that's better than this hunk of junk, and I'll save about $3,000 overall since they go crazy with financing. But, I'm going to have to go homeless man mode, and budget for the next few months. It's not going to be overly bad, especially since the dieting I did before helps with reducing a lot of costs with food in general. It just seems too coincidental that every time I'm buying, or intending to buy a used vehicle, rain occurs at some point which sets up an omen. The first time was almost dying in a ditch with a speedster, and now the flooding that fortunately subsided; they really need to improve on the drainage here after what happened the past few days.
As much as I like getting a better vehicle, and avoiding full coverage insurance for liability instead, that money could've been saved up for for other things. But, you can't drive your laptop to work, obviously. I guess when large sums of money comes in over time, it just never gets budgeted as plan for too long.
Stay safe from those floods. Houston looks like a nightmare with all the flooding (don't know if you're there or it's similar).
My hubby only gets the bare bones insurance for our cars. Paula had full coverage which was a blessing when she totaled it.
Speaking of diets, Paula's doctor put her on an insane diet.
Breakfast: Black coffee, 2 slices 35 calorie toast.
'Lunch: 2 slices 35 calorie toast, meat no bigger than the palm of your hand
Dinner: Same as lunch.
Also acceptable: Celery sticks, vinegar, mustard.'
What the friggin heck? How could a DOCTOR recommend such a flipping ridiculous diet? Sounds like some celebrity fad diet to me.
Where are the fruits and veggies? And isn't that too many carbs?
Maybe it's just supposed to be a diet kick off and not something for the long term.
Rave/rant: I rescued a trapped honey bee, saved a mouse, but squished a ??? slug.
when I went to Sheetz for my daily soda, I rinsed out my cup there and behind their sink in a clear bucket was the bee. I just held it up so they could see it, said "bee", then took it outside where I thumped the bucket and the bee flew away.
Just now, coming back from dinner, I saw one of my cats swatting at something, so I looked and it was a mouse. I kept trying to pick it up with a large leaf but it kept scurrying about which made the cat want it even more So I threw the leaf and the cat chased it while the mouse ran away.
But when I stood up, i felt a squish between my sandal and foot. Thought I stepped in poop. When I went to wipe it away, a sluggy sort of form was actually there. Poor sluggy (or whatever it was).
Rave: My back is doing a whole lot better today.
Rave: One of our kittens found a new home
Rant: I have a small boil on my cheek. Thought it was just a large pimple, but the bump is considerable beneath the skin. Now I get to lance it. Wiippeeee
@ Zhaylin Yes I do. Just been feeling really down lately. Thank you for the hug! I needed that. I'm going to be practicing my art and music for a while until I get better at it cause practice makes perfect.
Rant: The UK science ministry held a competition for people to vote on the name of their new Arctic research vessel. The leading name with the most votes was 'Boaty McBoatface', and it was rejected. Why hold a competition if you're not going to uphold the people's choice?
And it would have guaranteed a spot in the history books.
I really miss having an online community where I belong. I used to visit this place everyday for quite a long time. It was fantastic coming home, hoping online and spending all night on web chat just talking about whatever the fuck we wanted to. I considered a lot of people great friends, but now I don't even remember their usernames. All of us have gone now though, I don't know where and I never will. Whatever happened to webchat anyway? I heard whispers of dramas where a whole tonne of people got banned, but I never know. It's Surprising to still see Zhaylin here, about the only name I recognize. I don't have any online friends anymore, I just mindlessly browse reddit without any interaction, and I can't find any fantastic communities such as the old dreamviews.
They say dreaming is dead, no one does it anymore.
It's not dead it's just that it's been forgotten, removed from our language.
Nobody teaches it so nobody knows it exists.
The dreamer is banished to obscurity.
Well, I'm trying to change all that, and I hope you are too.
By dreaming, every day.

Aww, if you ever want to chat, drop me a PM or, I get on chat most evenings...

Rant: So I teach Taekwondo every Friday, two classes right in a row. What I don't understand is why my 5-8 year white belt class is well behaved, and so eager to learn I can teach them new kicks and forms in one day, but my 10+ (most students are 10-16) are annoying, insubordinate, lacking self discipline and I'm hard pressed to get them through warm-ups properly.
...
Rant/Rave: So why is it that I've had 10 LDs since the start of spell's comp but they're all layer 1's and such. I seem to be exceptionally good at layer 1ing. I mean since essentially some nights I double or triple LD, and others I don't, it averages out to about 1 LD a night, (actually a little less.) But they're not LDs worth having...
...
Rave: KSP 1.1 Is awesome. So much less laggy. Still a few bugs though.
welcome back, Ametam. It's nice to be remembered
This is practically the only place I come now-a-days. I can catch up with people, hear life events, and complain
Jade: 5-8 year olds tend to be eager to please and just as eager to learn. 10-16 get hormonal, rebellious and limit-testing.
Also, ROFL, at BoatyMcBoatface. I really don't blame them for not naming such a prestigious ship such a silly name... but, like you, I wonder why they asked at all. I guess they expected people to be mature and offer serious suggestions. But would that have mattered in the end?
Rant: Taxi ervice sucks. having to get up before noon sucks.
Rave: But it's a means to an end and hopefully will be over in a couple of months.
There are 2 boys homes. The one was in my town and only about 15-20 minutes away but *egad!* what a drive! I made MYSELF car sick last night which is quite a feat when you're the one driving I took her to the other place today- the next town over... so it was about a 30-40 minute drive. I prefer the one further away and so does she. Last night was a trial by fire though. It was dark and pouring down the rain. The road is tight in places, with no guard rail on steep hills. I could have easily had a head-on accident last night when another car came into view during a sharp, narrow turn. I can't even imagine how horrible it would be with snow on the ground *panic*
Rave: I'm loving my game.
Rave: I'm loving being debt free to my hubby. I'm back to $200. a week which gives me a lot more breathing room. I've been buying items for a bug-out bag, buying extra water for storage, and I actually have a small surplus of e-juice.
It's the same place I'm working now (different building) so I'd be a 'new guy' with 8 years seniority, higher pay rate, more overtime, 2nd shift, and they're going to reimburse like 70-80% of my college costs. So... I told them to screw off.
Yea, I took it. I need to wait for my current position to get filled, but I'm hoping to start training around July.
Other news, I broke my phone. Maybe. I forget if I mentioned this here, but I finally caved and bought a cellphone again. Except it was refurbished, and probably not refurbished well. The power button was touchy and would sometimes get stuck in an on/off loop. So I bought a few replacement buttons for $2. I haven't done much surface mount work, but figured it couldn't be too bad. The lead-free solder was a pain to get off, but I got the new button on and reassembled everything. Phone won't turn on.
I went to a tapas bar for dinner and it was pretty nice. I am excited for the hearthstone expansion and elder scrolls legends beta which I hope I can get into. Also two good bands are releasing albums soon, one in a weeks time. Good times ahead haha, hard to be patient.

Haven't been around much because....
Rant: Fing uni.... We have sooooooo many goddamn essays to do this semester, it's insane. I am SOOOO bad at them. I worked my ass off on the first one, spent probably 20 hours or so. Got 60%....
Still not sure if I should ask for a remark because one of the criticisms was absolute bs, and I lost tonnnes of marks for it. But I may end up getting a lower grade....
I mean at least I passed, I couldn't actually give a shit whether I do well at a damn essay, but it's annoying I put in so much effort to just barely pass.
Schools need to realise essays don't prove knowledge. I really want to write an essay to the university showing that essays don't prove knowledge xD
The only thing it shows is that you know how to write well. Which matters IF YOU WANT TO BE A WRITER! I'm not in a writing course, so fk off!
Rave: Been talking to my crush a couple of times Although I screwed up majorly today lol, just totally destroyed the conversation, I came back later to talk again and did well
Also I received the funniest PM, people on DV crack me up lol
Tommo! So nice to see you! Sorry Uni has been so hectic and been keeping you away from us. Nice to hear about the crush though
Sefalik, Awesome! I totally would have turned that down too NOT!
Blair, I'll be going to my first Tapas restaurant this weekend. At leasst, that's the place I think we're going to go to. Sounds interesting.
I might have to give Elder Scrolls another chance. I played it in it's tester phase and it never really did it for me.
Good job, 101Volts
Rant: I'm broke. I bought some awesome stuff that I'm really happy about though. I just wont be eating much this week because I went a little TOO crazy. I still have to buy my e-juice and put gas in my car. I'll have about $20. to eat on
Rave: I bought some awesome stuff that I'm really happy about.
Life has been quiet other than friggin taxi duty. On Wednesday, I have to go 2 towns over (40 minute drive) so Paula can be finger printed for her job. Blah.
Rant: Paula's DR. (excuse me, Dr.'s assistant) sounds.... ??? I don't want to say dumb or incompetent but misguided perhaps. Paula suffers depression and anxiety. So, the lady prescribed her 5 mg of Valium to be taken twice a day what the frack? Valium's a depressant. It's half life is half a person's age. I told Paula to ignore what the label says and to take a 4th when she needs it (like before a trip to Walmart on a crowded day).
What's even more baffling is that Paula was prescribed meds for just 2 weeks but she doesn't see the lady again for 6 weeks.
In the PA's defense, Paula REQUESTED something that was fast acting for panic attacks. I just don't understand why the PA would give her such weird instructions for a med she doesn't need ALL the time. That's what a treatment plan is for and meds that stablize. It doesn't sound like the PA is interested in treatment plans. "What would you like to take? what works for you." so, Paula will be taking Adderall and Valium and Valium only because the PA can't write a script for Xanax.
sounds fishy to me.
**EDIT**
Rant: what happened to the clairity emoji?
So my girlfriend won't support me taking an English course in Australia this summer. I've wanted to book this trip tonight but she just sent me a text message saying "have you really thought this through? I mean you even get nervous when you have to take a train all by yourself to my place".
I know I have social anxiety, but this has been a dream of mine for so long. And I've wanted to just man up and do this. Like if you pay extra, there's gonna be someone who guides you the entire trip, to make sure you get there safely. And you can also pick a host family close to the school so you won't have to take the busy public transport. But now she's trying to convince me to stay home.
And I know that she's kinda right because my anxiety gets really bad sometimes. But so does her anxiety, and she's going all the way to canada for three months next year to do work experience in a zoo? Like why can she go to a foreign country for 3 months and I can't take an english course for 2 weeks when we both struggle with the same things?

While you may seem to have similar struggle with anxiety, I think it might just be a general fear (e.g. meeting someone else, and potentially having so much experiential context with each other that something sparks), and apprehension over each others' well-being. Some women are able to forget about their own problems to be considerate of someone else; I could throw in implications with biological habits, but I’ll keep it neutral here--and the same goes for it being vice versa. I know a few that I’ve had mixed interactions with tend to be to good judge of character, and one recently was so over critical, but in a nice way, over my well-being that I ended up telling her I was just fine, but appreciated the time she took to state her speculation.
I usually appreciate women that do that kind of thing because it’s just a chance for you to evaluate your schemata in life, and not just take a stand, but in a way where you are appreciating some truth in their sentiment either way. But that’s just me. I remember going to Canada a while ago to meet one of my half-sisters and other relatives, and to be honest with you, the area in Canada I went to was like lucid dreaming in stasis: Beautiful models and women in general walking in the train station, straightforward lifestyle in getting to point A to point B even with the slightly limited feel compared to the United states, and really down-to-earth people.
Maybe she feels her trip over there would be more casual vs. you going to Australia, and that assumption of mine is just a generalization of the worst case scenarios of anecdotes. I’m sure the trip might be fine if you set up some contingencies, but to add on my experience in Canada, the most “difficult” thing was just getting over the bravado customs has to show when you’re stating your purpose there, and where you’re going to. After that, smooth sailing. But, it’s just two areas of Canada I’m talking about, so yeah.

Spoiler for Rant:
I’ve noticed a certain co-worker who shifted to another department is cutting off communication with me. I’m not sure why she’s doing this, and although our interaction is a bit shaky working wise, I feel she’s the type of person to really believe the working persona I have is probably something I exhibit outside of that. It’s like anything I do to get the job done, and how people are willing to help us do that makes her pissed off at me. As if just merely existing in the work makes her cringe, or something. I haven’t argued with her, I haven’t criticized her, I haven’t been rude to her either. The worst is just not saying “Hi,” but that’s usually because I’m busy most of the time. I feel like she’s just showing up randomly at those busy moments to see if I’ll say hi to her, and when I don’t, those experiences are adding on to her book of justifying that shutting herself off from me is pragmatic. I tried not to be paranoid about this as she could just be stressed out with her shifting into a department that has a lot of complications entirely.
I’ve done so well with keeping a neutral interaction with others, and I’m completely cool with them when it comes to helping them getting the job done, and vice versa, but with her, it’s hard to pinpoint what’s going on. I chalk up her disposition as, “I don’t care if anyone does –whatever to do their job right-, except you.” But, I’m not going to grow a thick skin towards her, since the moment I do that, it’s just going to lead to someone wondering why the sudden change in disposition. I also feel she’s trying to milk something out of me, but I’m not going to do it. Seriously, the leadership has been supportive of me, and the same for her, and I can hardly believe that me being a lone wolf at the job at times is convincing her to be like this.
She probably thinks I’ll foam in my mouth if I can’t get one person to satisfy, but the only reason why I care is that the general idea is for everyone to be best friends with each other, and even to feign that camaraderie, if needed--they explicitly told us this. Before, I always satisfied her requests with no resistance, and she always appreciates that too. It’s not a work ethic, it can’t be a minor separation from having small talk with her…so what is it really? I don’t know, but she’s somewhere else, and I can’t let it distract me for too long.
Crashyy. Maybe she's just trying to give "practical" advice. I find myself doing that with my kids all the time and it makes me cringe, but I feel I HAVE to. Like, they want to get into something- a job or college- and I'll say something along the lines of "Are you sure? You REALLY suck at Math." I try to counter it by telling them they're very smart but they have more strengths in other areas- and they could still pull it off but it would take a LOT of work. I don't want to bash their dreams, but sometimes you have to be a little realistic. Perhaps your gf is doing something similar.
It's also like, I STRONGLY encourage my crew to move out of my house .... but at the same time, I don't want them going to another state. I want them close, but not TOO close. Crap happens. It's better for crap to happen closer to home and your security net than 1,000's of miles away when you're left on your own. Your gf might be making her own anxiety better known in her concern for you. she's afraid of you being in a state of panic, left on your own far from her and your family.
Link, Ugh, drama. I am so glad I've been able to stay out of the job force. People like that would drive me batty.
Rant: I slept like crap lsat night. I kept waking up every hour, checking my iPad, hitting my vape, then passing out for another hour I didn't take my bed meds last night because I had to be functional today before noon. Still. Gah! What a terrible night.
Rave: I'll probably sleep like a baby tonight
Rave: Took Paula to get finger printed. It was a lot less painful than I thought. Finding the place was a little annoying because the building wasn't clearly marked. Otherwise, it was a fast trip.
The seemingly never-ending car repair. What a ride. I knew the fuel tank was leaking near the top so I didn't fill it up all the way, now it leaks towards the bottom of the tank and I probably have under 10 gallons in it out of the 42 the tank is capable of. Why I'm keeping this Diesel Suburban I don't know anymore, I already put approx. $4340 in it in repairs and parts. At least I got a good price on a transmission rebuild ($1,050) and the tires and shocks put on by the previous owner were new when I bought it, but wow.
Last episode: Power Steering leaked (it rusted through, woo hoo) and the wastegate (Related to the Turbo) was bad. WAS bringing it in for reason that the shop installed a transfer case seal that leaked, which was supposed to replace the seal on it before which also leaked.
