I believe in neither luck nor karma. I believe that what goes around comes around but not because of cosmic intervention, but more so because of peoples habits and human nature (For instance: If you're a crook, eventually, statistically speaking, you're going to find yourself in a world of hurt.

That being said... I think I need to hide inside for a couple weeks. The powers that be are conspiring to kill me. When looking at my bruised butt, I nearly fell off the desk I sleep on, where I would have cracked my skull open. Last night, I nearly slipped in the shower. Such happenings make it hard NOT to be superstitious/other sometimes
(When in truth, I've been sleeping poorly and am on new meds and have allergies effecting my ears and in turn my balance... but sheesh!)

Rant-ish? I've gained much too much weight. My butt is barely bruised. I think I'd rather have the bruise if my self-esteem could remain intact

Rave-ish. Hubby was being racist last night. I just scoff at him, roll my eyes and tell him to be nice when he says such things. He ended up calling me later to make sure I knew he was "only joking". I told him "No sir, you were not joking. You try not to be, but you ARE very prejudice against black people and fat people." He denied being racist and agreed on the fat part. I told him "If you were any more perfect, you wouldn't be human, so I just have to take your flaws as they come."
To which he replied: 'If your judgement was any more off you'd be in an insane asylum.' I don't know why, but that exchange made me very happy and I'm still smiling about it.
He's still my sweetie warts and all.

Rant: I'm exceptionally sleepy and have been the last several days.
But Rave: I'm in a very good mood today.

Unhappy Praying to the A/C gods! Make it work, just make it work. It's driving me mad me thinks.

My new A/C which I've been bitching about is on the fritz again! This is new A/C number 2 this summer. The kind that takes 4 yrs to pay on by making payments the size of an actual car payment. I'm actually tired of bitching about it.

Excellent argument. I'll have to document this.

Drove something around 185-200 miles yesterday. Saw Allegheny National Forest in part which was nice, I didn't think it would take so long to drive from 59 back to I-80 though; it took about an hour and a half as it was about 70 miles. Still thinking of replacing the shock absorbers on the Caprice since the front ones are bad but I'm not sure if I should replace the back ones at the same time or not? Those ones still work.

The rest of this week plus next week yet. Then, I'm pretty sure I'll be working 6:30am-3:30pm. Never say never, but maybe I'll never work 3rd shift again?

I decided I was drinking too much. Not that I was getting sloppy drunk every day (or even ever--I don't drink to the point of drunkenness), but just the fact that I was drinking 2-3 beers a day sort of irked me. I should just go back to smoking weed--it's better for your abs. But for now I've stopped stocking the house with beer. If I want a drink, I need to go to one of the local bars. End result: I'm not drinking every day, but I'm probably spending about the same amount of money because a) a beer at the bar is more expensive, b) I usually end up buying food, and c) I always tip well. But hey, at least I'm being social. Well, somewhat social... usually I just bring my book and quietly read while downing a few beers.

Also go back into Minecraft. I downloaded "Feed The Beast" which is just a huge compilation of mods, and I'm hooked all over again. Vanilla Minecraft had become boring, but all these mods have made it fresh again. I don't know if this is a rant or rave, because I'm probably better off not wasting time playing video games. But it's fun.

ALSO I've been very consistently going to the gym on a regular basis several months now; 3-5 days a week. And I get pissed at myself when I don't make it 5 days, which is good. Finally made it over the initial hurdle and I'm back at the point where I hate missing a gym day. I think I look good again and confidence is up (a bit) and I'm in the best shape I've ever been. Now I just gotta work on initiating conversations and maybe I'll be able to meet some people and start actually dating again.

Drove on Monday in the Suburban and suddenly the middle window started working. Before, it only went down so far; now it goes down as far as I suppose it's meant to go. It still has some issues going back up all the way because it's not perfectly in-line, maybe the window track is messed up.

Hey. I didn't quite understand what you meant about the facebook thing but I think I understand now. Something similar happens to me but when I'm on my phone. I think the ad's somehow use our browsing history to generate different forms of ads. I was looking at amazon items before and I noticed that the items I was looking at showed up on the ads. There are quite a bit of annoying ads that I probably clicked on before but thats how most sites make money so I'm not sure if much can be done about it.

Everytime I hear about Fecesbook i hate it more.

Nothing should ever be linked to Facebook, Facebook is a disease that we must wipe out ahead of the Zika virus..Facebook is an autobot gone out of control..It plans to destroy the universe and the pathway forward is clear....We, Us humans must rise up and murder Facebook,
Have you tried to disconnect it from the Facebook end?, I don't know as it would work but worth a try.

Have you tried turning your Facebook APP control panel off? Here: https://www.facebook.com/help/942196...elpref=hc_fnav
Seriously, though I haven't been for years so, I have no idea what have changed on there.

      Hope that helps?

If not for Facebook, how would I keep up to date on all the new awesome tunes I like listening to?! I also use Facebook chat, mostly because I get barely (if any) service in my house beyond wifi. It's also cheaper, since I use a service that charges me based on the amount of texts/calls I make, and wifi is free. So... take that! Or something!

Today was very productive, so I feel great. Saturday all I did was go grocery shopping and play minecraft, and that made me feel like crap. At least on Friday I went to the gym and got my haircut. Then today I went to the gym and destroyed my legs, marinated some chicken in a teriyaki sauce, threw some black beans and onions and bay leaves in the crock pot, cleaned the cat litter, did the laundry, chopped up some veggies for salads, vacuumed and cleaned the apartment, listened to some doom metal, ate said salad with black beans and chicken (and kept leftovers for throughout the week), went to the bar for a few drinks, and nearly finished reading my current book. I feel awesome.

And speaking of the bar... there are two that I've been going to. I like them both, and I can only assume it's just a difference in bar policy. But the one I've been going to for longer and more frequently has never given me a free drink. The other bar gave me my third free drink today. How is one expected to tip on a free drink? If I don't order food (as was the case today), I give a dollar per drink. She gave me a free drink so I tipped an extra dollar. Is the proper courtesy to tip the normal 'per drink' ratio PLUS the amount for you got for free? I always overthink tipping, I think.

I personally think of Fecebook as another branch of the Government collecting information (tinfoil hats please) but it sounds like you had a remarkable day.....For me it was not quite so, I rode my indoor bike on a trainer stand and some house cleaning and gave up..95° and 90% humiditty keeps an old fart like me indoors but I plan to go bike riding after the sun goes down..
Maybe that's why I hate Fecebook, Because I'm an old fart

ps: My Facebook account was once hacked by a party I tracked down to Fairfax VA...Who else can you think of in Fairax VA.?

lol, I have so much to catch up on.

My ex, after only dating me for a year and a half, decided to propose to me as I went to uni which coincidentally was the same time I decided to break things off and he'd had the ring engraved so he couldn't take it back which turned out to be hilarious after he was such a massive twat to me both before and after we broke up.

My mother decided she couldn't be bothered to support me and decided instead to verbally attack me for choosing a career path. (ty mum) This is AFTER the BBC decided they'd like to invest a week's worth of training on me, the only person on the course who was under the age of 20 and also the only person without any formal qualifications in radio. I nearly got the job they interviewed for afterwards too.

My biggest 'what if' refused to commit to me so, just a month before I got to see him for the first time in 7 years, I broke things off with him (is that accurate, we were never really 'on') to start dating, what appears to be, the perfect guy for me.

I now live with this guy and have two kittens with him. Couldn't be happier to start studying for my new career next month and things FINALLY look like they're working out for me.

Rave: Finding work satisfaction with dismantling this Caravan which died last month. I've taken the intake manifold off, the fuel rail, the radio (CD player doesn't work,) the instrument cluster, the ashtray/cup holder/coin tray, paneling with the headlight/dimmer/mirror switches and the driver-side exterior mirror. I'm also thinking of buying a cold knife to remove all the windows. Yes I have eBay in mind for selling all these old parts; it'll be better than just junking it.

      RAVE:
I had a customer yesterday who at first I thought was speaking russian. When I realized it's just a very, very thick Irish or Scottish, possibly Australian accent, I almost died. It was soooo adorable. And he was a spectacularly stunning specimen of a male human being. AND on top of that, he wanted to know where we have bottle openers : D. All I was able to do is grin and mumble something about isle 14.

      RANT:
      I should have followed him.

I started my new position last week, and training on 1st shift. I'm happy to say that I won't be working 3rd shift anymore, but.... meh. Everyone goes on and on about working 1st shift, but being a single guy with no kids I'm not sold. If you have kids that are in school, you'll hardly ever see them if you work 2nd shit--I understand that. But I don't have kids, and the traffic is crazy when I try to leave work. And the gym is packed at 4pm when I get there. So I really won't mind when I get on 2nd shift again.

That said, I think I'm going to really like my job, once I actually know what I'm going. So far, it's been pretty boring. I get the feeling the guy I've been training with doesn't want to train me. I met another guy that went to the same school as me, and he told me that the people here (in our job title) always want to know more than the other guy, so they really don't tell you much when training. Which is really annoying. I really want to learn the job, but most of the time I've been training so far has just been spent twiddling my thumbs.

But going back to the gym, it really does suck going at 4pm because of how crowded it gets. My shift starts at 6am, so if I want to go to the gym before work, I need to wake up around 3am. I got up at 3:45 today, but ran out of time at the gym and couldn't finish my workout. But it was nice to have an empty gym, so I guess 3am it is.

Got the roof rack off the Suburban, finally. Nine of the security bolts were rusted in, not the worst I could imagine but certainly not easy. I ended up cutting the heads off and using vicegrips to remove them.
