heh, I drive my p-doc crazy sometimes. Like, I told him my whole trial and error thing with the Magnesium and Cymbalta and he says "why don't you let doctors do their job and see them instead of driving yourself crazy with all this."
I told him it doesn't drive me crazy. I enjoy trying to figure out why x does y and how I can make things better (or worse) by doing z.

But I was fighting tears the last time I saw him (Tuesday). I told him I'm 90% pain free but I keep adrenaline surges over the silliest stuff (like my daughter sneezing or coughing in the next room). He told me Cymbalta is excellent for pain but not for anxiety because it increases the adrenalin in your system. Then I was fighting tears and said "so, basically, I have to choose between being in pain or having anxiety."

It's silly because I never even realized exactly how much pain and discomfort I was in until Cymbalta and being able to actually fall asleep and wake up like a regular person. Now that I know, it's REALLY hard to decide to go back to that.
He increased my Gabapentin to see if that will help with the anxiety. I didn't even know it was prescribed for that. I was taking it for my legs lol (I actually need to go Google that now).

Other than that, life has been quiet for the most part.

I can't wait to see Beauty & the Beast. I wonder if it's worth buying 2 platinum tickets for myself because i don't want anyone sitting near me.

Well, to be fair, not being able to see a little bit out of one of your eyes can be indicative of some kind of tumor pushing on your optic nerve, and your optic nerves run along next to some brain structures very important for secreting hormones and whatnot, so it's probably a good thing you got that checked out. If a tumor, even benign, was pressing on your pituitary, it could cause you to be over or under secreting hormones which can lead to all sorts of mood regulation disorders among other things. It's a good thing you went in this case! lol

I'd love to see Beauty and the Beast, but it's not my hubby's sort of movie. I might go see it by myself next week... but I'm usually too cheap to do that.

Rant: 400mg Gabapentin isn't enough either Hubby sent me out for hotdogs earlier and I had adrenaline surges the entire drive My mind is calm and at peace. I do NOT understand my brain/body and it drives me bonkers.

Rave: My dog had her pups today. 8 of them They'll go quickly though so I'm not too worried.
The girls brought a doghouse inside a few months ago. Keirra (the dog) never had any interest in actually using it. The cats did though lol. When she went into labor though, she went into the doghouse. Last time she had a litter (a couple years ago) she had them in my room. But I was asleep. Destinee made a flap for the entrance out of clothes and when I went to check on them at 10AM, it was like a sauna in there. It had to be at least 90 degrees! She was panting like crazy and the doghouse smelled foul.
I gave her an hour to rest, tried to coax her out for a bathroom break but she wasn't having it. I picked up three of the babies to move them to my room. She followed. I was thinking: "3's an awful small litter for as big as she was!" I went back to the doghouse, lifted up a pillow and there were the other 5 lol.
She's still cramping (You can see her stomach contract and every time it does, she bleeds a little). I don't remembering that happening last time. But, she's taking good care of them, drinking a lot and has even gone outside.

      They're all adorable.

Either I forgot how to count or she had 2 more last night. There are 10 pups, not 8. One of them isn't going to make it though (short of a miracle).
He was at deaths door yesterday. He was by himself, his tongue was lolling out of his mouth, his breathing was jagged and irregular. He wouldn't latch on to nurse. I gave him to Destinee because his cries were distressing Keirra too much. A couple hours later, she said he was trying to nurse on her finger.
I made up a 1/2 milk, 1/2 water solution and fed it to him through a dropper. He made it through the night. His breathing has regulated, but he still wont latch on. He's often by himself and cool to the touch.
Keirra is very interested in him. Every time I pick him up to check on him or feed him, she's right by my side, concerned and cleaning him.

she's VERY restless though and constantly moving around. The other pups just switch position with her... except the little guy. He's definitely the runt. I'd "like" to let nature take it's course. He's not keeping up, maybe there's something else wrong with him that I can't see.... but that's not me.
If he lasts to noon, I'm going to get an advance from hubby and pick up a proper bottle and formula and see if that helps. BUT, he just doesn't suckle.

Rant: I slept fairly rough last night. Puppy noise doesn't bother me, but this brood seems much louder than the last (maybe because there's twice as many lol). And Momma kept panting and very softly whimpering (not an in pain sort of whimper, but like an overheated and majorly uncomfortable sort of thing).
I got up twice to let her outside and to check on the little guy.

She's gone through 2 gallons of water and even ate all her food. I know she's overheated (my room tends to stay warm), but a site I read said puppies ideal temp is 85 It's not THAT warm in here but it's still to warm for Care-Bear (Keirra).

Rave: AdBlock for iPad works like a friggin dream. I'm catching up on all my shows

Well I watched the Rebels cartoon and I think it sucks. Now please will nobody try and defend it saying that 'it's a kids' show'. The clone wars cartoon had the same target audience and the same style of animation but it was actually enjoyable. (Though I will confess there were some episodes of the clone wars cartoon that were stinkers. But with Clone Wars, the good outweighed the bad.) But with Rebels, nearly every episode is a stinker. I feel like I'm on the edge of my seat, like this show is finally about to develop into something deep and interesting but so far there's only been one good episode.

Ezra is annoying. He's a kid who has the force, and his parents are dead. That's about all you get. The orange R2-D2 droid is annoying. Zeb seems like every warrior culture/big strong guy character ever and doesn't really seem that interesting. They touched on a backstory for his culture and his history with one of the villains but just as quickly forgot about it. Sabine has a bad case of Mary Sue. She's good at fighting, good at flying ships, good at fixing things, and is a special snowflake because apparently she's the only person in the entire star wars cannon who knows what art is. She never has any character flaws and though she acts out against the other members of the and disobeys orders she never gets any consequences for it. Hera gets very little development outside of constantly disagreeing with Kanan, the only character in this series that's not brought back from the clone wars cartoon that I actually like. Though Kanan does have a backstory, he was a padawan during the CW cartoon and survived the 66th order, and basically has PTSD, he won't even carry or use his lightsaber unless its an emergency.

It doesn't bother me that the writers went this route of coming up with their own cast of characters and using characters from the clone wars cartoon and movies as side characters, instead of doing what the original clone wars cartoon did where they mainly focused on Anakin and Obi-Wan who were characters from the movies, and created Asokha for their show. Just if they were going to make up their own cast of characters they why couldn't they do a better job than this?

When Korra did this sort of thing; bringing back old characters from the original cartoon as minor characters, I found it a tiny bit problematic. One of my main gripes with Korra, but in Korra the main characters were actually able to carry the show. In here the main cast feels flat and the best part of the show is seeing those side characters come back into the show.

I suppose I could say the antagonist characters don't feel completely flat though and they are handled better than they are on most shows.

The show does a lot of action scenes but they aren't really that good. I'd honestly prefer quality over quantity, and a little more intensity. The action scenes usually feel so low-stakes, and they lack a genuine intensity. I know this a cartoon but the original clone wars cartoon was TV-PG so they could get away with a lot more, like having actual onscreen character deaths. I'm not saying we need Mortal Kombat style fatalities with gore and everything but this is supposed to be Star Wars. SW has always been in the PG/PG13 range. (Rly the PG range if you're looking at the OT, the time period this show takes place.) The clone wars cartoon was PG and it always felt like it was targeting the right range. Not dark and bloody, but it could handle things more maturely, show deaths and didn't feel so watered down.

Is Rebels the worst thing ever and a complete disgrace to Star Wars? Probably not. Is it worth your time? Probably not. I give it 4/10.

      ...

Oh yeah. Forgot about that dumb helicopter lightsaber.

      ok make that a 3/10.

The Samurai Jack continuation is good though... *adjusts nostalgia goggles*

      .
The poor quality video is available online but you should totally watch this in theatre. The 3D was beautiful; when Belle was on the mountain, i was tempted to run into the screen.
And it was worth buying 2 tickets. I had the whole area to myself.

Meh, I always worry about watching pirated shows. I either get viruses, phishing scams, or a warning and shut off of my internet for a couple days
      Glad you loved it though!

Rave: My kids are so weird. We have 4 new-ish kittens (don't know if I wrote about them- they're 3 months old or so by now). Their names are "Baby Fluffy", "Baby not so Fluffy", "Two Face" and......... "Frank"
They've been very sickly. It's common for our kittens to die off with respiratory infections by this new lot has that plus diarrhea. I've been showering with them to keep them clean, but ugh... those fluffy ones are a nightmare. I think I might shave them lol. They've been getting much better.

We lost another puppy last night (the first didn't make it). I think momma squished him. We might lose one more because of the way they nurse. Because of the way she lays, in order to access the teats, one pup ends up between her back legs and one under her front 2 and face. If she switches position, they get trapped.
Otherwise, she's being an excellent mom. She's even stopped panting so much (in part because I lowered the heat in my room).

Rant: I'm very weird. When I'm cold in my sleep, I get into a tight fetal position. It traps all my body heat and I sweat like crazy. Night before last, I kept waking up thinking there was a spider on me but it was sweat rolling down my body. Then I try to stretch out, but the cold air freezes me, so back into the fetal position I go
I tried sleeping in clothes last night but that wasn't happening. I can't even stand underwear when I sleep. so I added 2 more blankets to my bed. I didn't have the sweat/freeze episode until very early in the morning right before I woke. I guess they helped.

Rave: My DIN started work (training) today. It's a 15 minute drive down the road I can definitely live with that commute until she gets a car.

Rave: Season 4 of Orphan Black is finally on Prime. I've been binge watching it. Can't believe there's only 10 episodes though.

Rant: I have the (forgive the butchering of this spelling) Roroni Kinchin theme song stuck in my head. It's been 10 years or more since I even watched it It's the only animae (gr sp!) I've ever liked.

Yeah temperature changes are annoying. I have to keep a space heater in my room since my bedroom is the coldest room in the house. In the winter months the heater helps keep my room from getting down to 50f in the night, since if that happens I'll never be driven enough to get out from under the warm covers in the morning.

I feel like I'm having constant episodes of waking up to find that i'm cutting off the circulation in one arm and I've got a limp arm. It used to only happen once in a fortnight but now I swear it's occurring nightly.

Haven't had any trouble with curling up in the fetal position though. that is weird.

Rave: Got my password restored at my college, so I can get on the Wifi and access my homework again.

Cry: Nobody's continued my google picture war on the senseless banter thread.

heh, I had a sleep study done about 10 years ago or more. They laughed at me the next day, saying they've never seen anyone curled up like a cat before. When the temp is fine, sleeping like that is okay (well, the tight fetal is never really okay lol). But, gosh, it is annoying when I trap my heat.
I hate sleeping with another person for that reason too. It's as if, once I fall asleep I start running a fever. It's always been that way. Sleeping with another person or under heavy blankets makes it a million times worse. I can't help but worry about menopause and night sweats. Surely it can't be worse than what I've had all my life.... or can it

One thing I've been doing lately is clasping my hands (like those pictures of pious people where only their fingers clasp). I thought we were supposed to go limp and relaxed when we sleep? Clasping fingers shouldn't stay that way- they should relax then separate. Not mine. I wake up with my fingers so cramped it hurts to separate them.

Rant: The dog and her pups are killing me. I've been averaging about 4-5 hours of sleep a night.

Rant: My meds aren't *quite* doing it for this period. Yesterday, I felt like someone kneed me in the crotch a few dozen times (haven't had that in YEARS) and today my back is hurting.

Rave: We've not lost any more pups and they are too stinking cute.

But sheesh momma is weird this time around. She goes through almost 2 gallons of water a day, 1 large bowl of dry dog food mixed with 1 large can of wet dog food twice a day, and an extra bowl of dry food... and she still goes after the cat food. She still goes through periods of heavy panting. Last night she went crazy and dug at a sliver of carpet I haven't pulled up yet. I guess laying down almost 24/7 feeding 8 hot babies would make anyone overheated and restless.

Rant-ish: We have a glass club meeting tonight. We usually skip them but dues are due and hubby feels guilty about missing so many of them. It would be fine if the Museum was more high-end stuff. They collect and showcase EVERYTHING from everywhere in the US. And I mean everything Remember those jelly jars with cartoon characters on them? They have those. Remember Avon perfume bottles? They have those too. And they'll spend at LEAST 30 minutes tonight passing around that stuff. Hubby made me a glass snob. 1800-early/mid 1900 stuff only, please. Amberina, Fenton, Wave Crest, Peach Blow, Cameo. Those are the things I like and would like to learn more about.

      Hope everyone is well.

My lab partner and I relied on our other lab partner to forward us the electronic data needed to complete the lab report, but despite trying to contact him, he never forwarded the data. He didn't even bother showing up to class when the report was due today. As a result, we will fail the lab because we needed the data to complete half the lab report. This all sort of reminds me of a little story. I feel somewhat like Susie did, although I'm nicer about it.

I suppose it's noteworthy to mention that, whilst sitting in the living room, my father was struck in the arm by fucking lightning last week. That must be worth raving about?

Oh, well at least it wasn't a tumor or anything lol. Only reason I know all that is because I've got a small benign tumor pressing on my pituitary and it's very close to the optic nerve, so I have to stay aware of any new vision problems because it could be a sign that it's getting larger and pressing on those nerves.

Thanks for the comic, Dolphin. I do love Calvin and Hobs. Sorry about your crappy partner though.

WOW, Moose!!! Hope he's completely okay. Did he go to the Doctor?

Rave: I actually slept fairly well last night. I got up at 3AM to let the dog out and that was it. Managed to get 7 hours all in all.
Rant: I'm fairly exhausted today though. I broke down and took a caffeine pill. It will make me cramp more but I can't stay in bed all day.
Rave: My back only hurts when I stand Hopefully, I'll only have a couple more days of this nonsense. My period is never as heavy as it has been this time around. I don't know if that has caused the back pain or if my meds just completely failed. I guess I'll find out next month.

Rant: Because of the flow change and other factors, tampons made me very ill last night. I felt like barfing and had to lay down at 8PM instead of 9:30.
Rant: Those other factors are ??? frugality. Is that a word? I've been being a cheapskate. I usually use Softcups but Walmart stopped selling them. CVS sells them for more than twice as much and I just haven't been able to make myself get them. I went on Amazon Prime last night and they were selling for $26.- $56. Turns out, the company that makes them was bought out by another company and they're doing away with my brand. Walmart will not be selling the replacement brand because "Walmart isn't friendly toward small business". I'm going to have to suck it up and buy from CVS

Rave: I was talking to my daughter over FaceTime yesterday and the router dropped us. I complained to her about it over FB. She thought we had a crappy internet company. I told her I was just to cheap to buy a router. She bought us one. It should get here tomorrow. I told her I feel bad now and she said not to, that it's a gift, but she expects to hear from me and Sis more often

The pups get cuter and cuter every day. They make little growl sounds and barks from time to time. When they're fussing, I'll sometimes pick them up and give them back to momma (they fuss when they roll too far away from her). Sometimes, I'll hold them for a few moments first. They usually stop crying the moment I pick them up and start talking to them. They can't hear me yet, but they already know my scent. It makes me giddy because they feel comforted by me.
They're also quieter at night now which I'm REALLY loving

Yes just a little sore still, getting hit by lightning, like being shot, causes an entrance and exit wound. We rushed him out to the ER because he does have heart issues but everything seems a ok in that department so far. Lighting actually only kills 1 in 10 people it strikes, but 8 out of the 9 survivors usually have lifelong complications, he also seems to have none of these so far.

Hope things are going good for you all. This is nothing compared to what some of you are going through but I got a paper cut and noticed it at the wrong time. It was embarassing cause I almost got blood all over the place. By mistake I got blood on someone. I hope I didn't scare them too much... D:

      Owwwch I hate papercuts. Your story reminds me of something that happened to me last term; I was getting an assignment together for class an X-acto rolled of my desk and went into my foot. What followed was probably the funniest conversation I ever had with a professor;

Professor: "Why were you 15 minutes late to class?"

Me: "Oh, no real reason. Just busy cleaning up a trail of my own blood."

Of course I went on to explain the specifics of what happened, but it was still funny nonetheless.

O.o Woah, that must have felt horrible. Like being stabbed? I have one but I always put top on after use. Lol It does sound like a funny convo to have with your proffesor though. Did he ask for you to show him the proof?

Aw, it sucks you have to wait. Hope you get on it soon.

The professor was a woman. And no, she did not ask to see proof. (I think the way I walked into class was proof enough, though. )

Yeah, paper cuts are horribly annoying like how hangnails are annoying. Seriously, how can something so small hurt so much

Rant: Have to play taxi today- doctors office then food pantry. Fortunately, my daughter could tell I was annoyed, so I just dropped them off at the Dr and then they're going to walk to the food pantry. When they're done, I'll pick them up. I hate waiting in the car but it's too close to really go home unless they'll be awhile.

      Rave: DV is back up.

Rant: My dog is killing me. She wakes me up every 2-3 hours to go outside. When I'm awake, she's farting up my room something terrible. Well, she's probably always farting, but I'm oblivious in my sleep But dear God how she reeks. She's eating and drinking so much I'm amazed she hasn't exploded yet.
Rave: The pups are all healthy and growing (except for one runt who is significantly smaller than the rest). They're often growling and making tiny barking noises. Their eyes aren't open yet but their ears might be.
We already have a home for one of the girls when they're old enough.

      Rant: I am so sleepy!!!!!
Rave: I had McD's breakfast again today so my tummy is happy.

Curiosity: I feel like I'm starving every morning. I eat and snack until around 4:30 and then my appetite completely vanishes. I make myself eat something before bed so I can take my meds, but it's usually just a small snack (just enough for Ibuprofen).
I think that's so weird. I lay down at 9:30 PM and I'm asleep anywhere from 11:30 to 2AM () And then I'm back up anywhere from 7-10. So, I can see how I would be hungry when I wake up lol, but where does my appetite go after that?
Rant: Despite all that, I'm still not losing any weight lol

Speaking of blood, I haven't had my period for a few months now. PCOS is back I guess. And I am happy when my reproductive system decides to take a break. I can deal with periods; I just hate being fertile. It makes me feel like I'm an incubator or something. I have fantasies about getting a rare disease that makes me permanently infertile but without any other side effects. Or getting into an accident which destroys my tubes but everything else works fine. Too bad PCOS makes me dizzy and nauseous. Maybe i'll start taking the pill again.

My daughter is weird about pregnancy- not so much her fertility but getting pregnant terrifies her. She has a term for the phobia but I don't remember it. When I tell her how amazing pregnancy is, she just wants to run out of the room lol If I could safely be pregnant forever, I would be. Not very late or early term, but far enough along to feel the movement and to make out a tiny foot beneath my skin. It's the most amazing sensation ever.

My rant is 2 zits. I normally get them right before my period. These little devils pop up whenever. But they don't break the skin. I'm constantly picking at them and squeezing them but they refuse to erupt or go away. So, I took a heated needle to them. And one of them IS STILL HERE What the friggin heck lol. I'm going to take my x-acto after it before much longer. Yeah. It's such a little thing. I don't know why they annoy me so much but they do. It's silly but I just can't ignore them.

Other than that, life is quiet and nice... but cold. I finally had to turn off my AC, doggie be damned. Sorry momma but when it's 40 out, the heater comes on

Ugh. My nice, quiet, peaceful life is about to get a bit crazy for the next month. Sis and her wife were both hired at a telemarketing type place (customer service though, not sales). It's 2 towns over...about a 40 minute drive one way.
Paula (wife) gave me most of her only paycheck from Lowes ($180.) so I can take them and bring them back. Combined, they'll be making $24. an hour which is the major hand up they need. She also made a deal with me that they'll get a car with their first paycheck (it's held for a month) and they'll be in their own place in 6 months.
I'll be spending (what) almost 4,5 hours on the road though, all in all And that's if their hours don't get me stuck in traffic forever
      They BETTER make this work.

Rant: Paula's not going to be able to have plastic surgery to repair nerve damage (from her January surgery) any time soon.

Rant-ish: I'm going to have to constantly tweak my meds. 300mg Gabapentin and 60 Cymbalta gets rid of most of my pain, but my anxiety worsens. 400mg Gab and 60 Cym gets rid of the anxiety but the pain starts coming back SO- whenever my back starts hurting or a week before my period, I'm going to have to use 300 before bringing it back up. I can deal with the anxiety in the short term. I wonder how taxiing is going to affect my anxiety though. GAH! What a major PITA!

Rave: Most of the puppies have their eyes mostly opened. Some just have them open slits, some have them wide open and a couple still have them closed completely.
Rave-ish: hubby and I might break down and go to Morgantown this weekend. I HATE Morgantown (city). BUT, he gets Indian food out of the trip and I get bulk coils for my e-cig. If they don't sell in bulk then we'll just go to Clarksburg (a much smaller city closer by). I have to get on the phone and call the 2 vape shops to see if they can work with us. Hubby will drop a couple hundred on the coils then sell them to me as I need them (as part of my allowance- it sounds weird, but yeah. That's us )
I only have 4 coils left so we have to make the trip sooner rather than later. We could always go next weekend if push comes to shove but I really hate gambling with my coils like that. Sometimes I get duds and then I'll be short. A pack of 5 usually lasts me 2 weeks.
PLUS, if hubby's feeling sweet, I might even get some extra juice out of the trip.

The local vape shop keeps running out of stock on the juices I like. And this week I even used the very last of their nicotine and barely got 12 mg out of what they did have. I'm starting to lose faith in them. I'm all for supporting local, small businesses but enough is enough already.
