      Rants:
      1) I should not have broken in new hiking shoes by going on an hour long walk. My pinky toes and abnormally long second toes (next to the Big Toes) are absolutely killing me. I have blisters on the pinkies and my long toes feel bruised at the tip. There's plenty of room in the shoes so I don't know why the long ones are bruised. I thought for sure the back of my foot would have blisters because my heels rise a little when I walk. But nope. They're completely okay lol

      2) the pup carried on last night toward the end of our walk. I don't know if he was taking his cue from my anxiety (pain). He's never acted up like that before. Right before we get home, he always picks a "fight" with his mom. He growls and barks, bites her on the neck and her legs. Last night, though, he did that MUCH earlier. I had to keep wind-milling and yanking hard on his leash to get him back to my right side. My shoulder is extra sore today and I twisted my knees a little.

      3) I need to request a cardiac workup. Since I started walking, I've been having an insane amount of heart palpitations. They strike the hardest as I'm winding down after the walks and I'll have them for hours. Normally, I'd have the palpitations infrequently- once a week, once a month, or during times of high anxiety etc. I used to have them all the time when I was a kid (a very active kid lol) so they don't scare me. I actually think they're kind of neat BUT, it might be cause for concern. I very rarely take caffeine any more, and I don't drink enough soda to be causing it. Activity seems to be the key.

      Raves:
      1) I've been sticking to my diet, even though my kids AND my hubby keep asking if I want real food Hubby congratulated me on my willpower the other day when I turned down pizza.
      2) I've been sticking to my walks even though my right calf feels like it has the start of a Charlie Horse for the last several days.
      3) I've been sticking with my CPAP even though it irritates my nose.
      4) My stomach is shrinking and my "bloat" is noticeably reduced.
      5) Next week I'm treating myself to a "professional" hair cut. I'm going with a short bob or pixie cut.

      Hope everyone's well

The power went out just when it was coming on and didn't come on until sometime after 12:00 am.

      I'm sorry to hear that.

So I have this bird, Moxie my mom's Goffin's cockatoo. Today, I asked Moxie how I looked and told me, "No! Don't like." Apparently, he didn't like my frumpy clothes.

Glad your power's back on now Yorkshire.

I didn't go for my walk last night. I hurt way too much. My SHINS hurt I blame the shoes. They're heavier than sandals. But seriously? My shins lol?
I also lost the ski mask I JUST bought on Monday. It's either in my girls car or in the parking lot of the shoe store. I really hope it's in the car. The thing set me back $7. and I'd really hate to buy another one.

I almost ate real food yesterday. I was extremely nauseated and just didn't feel well at all. I always eat when I feel like that (it helps to have heavy food on my stomach). But I toughed it out and just had a milk.

I still feel a little nauseous today, but's it's not as bad. Don't know if I'm getting sick or what.

      Blah.

      **EDIT**
Blah. Shin splints? Seriously? I just googled my pain. 2-4 weeks to heal if it's mild and you're fortunate. It CAN take 3-6 months. What the heck? From sore muscles? I don't think so. Another site I read said to walk if you feel okay, rest and recover if you're still sore. 2 steps forward, 6 steps back.
I also looked around some more and found that hiking shoes are not recommended for walking. They're not flexible enough. I KNEW those shoes were to blame
But what else are you supposed to use when there's snow on the ground? That's the main reason I bought those instead of tennis shoes.
I guess I'll keep wearing my sandals most of the time then work up to the hiking shoes.

Rave-ish: My blistered pinkies are itching me to death. Hmmm... something else to google lol. I've always heard and told my kids that when a wound itches, it's healing.

Rant: I have to take my daughter to work in the morning. Which means no sleep for me tonight... and I'm already falling asleep at my desk. I usually take a nap from 8-10 or 9-11, so maybe I'll try to do that now instead of pushing through until after I drop her off...

Rave: My best friend, Boothy, just asked me, "Have you considered opening a bakery? My mouth is watering!" He just saw my stuff that I have been cooking. That's always a plus.

Rant: I just brought in 30 cords of wood but, I trip and fell in a puddle of muddy water and hurt my arm.

Hope you had a good time with that class, Nebulus

      Feel better soon Yorkshire

Rant-ishes: I had a holiday dinner with hubby's office yesterday, so I ate some real food. Sure enough, I'm stopped up and bloated again. It did taste good though (for the most part )
I have not been going on my walks because of my shins, but they feel 98% better, so I'll walk the dogs at 1AM. But I'm wearing my sandals Even if it's snowing!!!

Rave: I hate Coke now. It tastes sickingly sweet. I'm craving water. I go through about 3 16.9 ounce bottles a day :
But there goes most of my calorie intake. My soup is only 120. My milk is 140. That's all I've been consuming. 1 serving of soup and 2 milks= 400 calories a day. That's not healthy. Especially if I burn off 250 during my walks. I'll start losing bone and muscle mass.
I got some jello and yogurt tonight, so I'll start adding those tomorrow. I also got some lactose free milk, so I'll start mixing that with the Ensure mix. Maybe it will be tastier and mix better than it does with water.

Meh; I've been restless lately. Perhaps because I've not had my walks. I managed to organize my room some, so that's good. But nothing's really interesting me. 7D2D is making me motion sick and I might be burning out of Starbound.

Rant: My dog's farts are absolutely killing me

I guess I should write an update here. i've finished university for the year, got all HDs last semester so that is awesome. I've also started going to the gym a few weeks ago, currently my triceps are killing me lol, but hopefully I will start to look less like a stick soon. I got PUBG last week and have been playing that and Gwent non stop lol (Also the Witcher 3, that game is exceptional). I came 2nd in one round but no chicken dinner for me yet. I need to tear myself away from the games and restart reading the Gulag Archipelago, such a grim but fascinating book. I hope everyone is having a good time and has a good Christmas, may your family not infight at the parties .

*woot woot* Glad everything's going well for you, Blair!
I've been wanting to get back into the Witcher but funds are chronically tight.

Rave? I've been chilling, watching Hulu, when- out of the blue- something occurred to me. I'm not having heart palpitations tonight. Which leads me to believe borderline dehydration was the reason for it formerly. Previously, I'd drink, maybe, 20 ounces of Coke a day. Now, I'm drinking so much water I might have to move into the restroom I'm even more curious now. I'll be watching it to see if anything changes.

Rant-ish: I wore my hiking shoes tonight. I'm never going to break them in or get used to them by wussing out. I didn't make it to the tracks.
(It's my house, Exxon, Vet, Hardees office, tracks). My shins felt sore before I even made it to Exxon. My knee hurt by the time we made it to the Vet. But we pushed on to the office before turning around. My knee was killing me by the time I reached Exxon again and I could barely lift my legs. I must have twisted my knee more than I realized.

Rave: It was 26 degrees, 18 with the wind chill and it was WONDEFUL. Oh yeah, I also found my ski cap the other day I wore jeans, a long sleeved shirt with a winter vest over it. I carried a sweater just in case, but I didn't need it. I still worked up a sweat
I do need to crochet the dogs some booties though. I could make the out of plastic bags and line them with something. The snow and ice can't be that comfortable. Kiera even refused to sit after the first couple times (I make them stop and sit before we cross the road).
When I was organizing my room, I found an old dog harness so I put it on the pup tonight and he did SO MUCH better.

      Sweet dreams, DV.

I don't do the outside in the winter, I have a bicycle on an indoor trainer stand! I just turn on a Youtube trainer video and go at it 15 minutes a day.. (30 seconds pedal like hell and 30 seconds quit)
And I don't have to worry about Dog Farts (no dog) But there's a mighty suspicion looking cat sitting over there

rofl, yeah Wobly, cats can be almost as bad as dogs. They're just smaller, so their stink doesn't tend to be as big (*usually*, I've had some foul cats in my time
I'm loving the cold. But only when I'm moving and sleeping. If I'm idle, I gotta have my room at nearly 80
I NEED my stripper pole. I really need to start nagging hubby. It's such in unbelievably great form of exercise and it works everything: arms, legs and belly.

I hope you got your sleep in, Tropical.

Yorkshire. I think I'm in the same boat as you. I do not feel well at all. Right before bed at 6:30AM, I was so lightheaded I nearly fainted. The nodes in my neck are swollen. I'm very hot to the touch, but either I have no fever or my thermometer is broken.
And I have to go to the store

Rant: No haircut this week. I have to buy my vitamins.

      Later, taters.

I'd rather you use that wish to heal from your bad cold.

But yes, i'd love to receive more sleep but it is due to my chosen lifestyle.

I could have swore I wrote this here already?
I'm dreaming about food regularly now. Not healthy food, though. I'm dreaming about hot fries and chips Last night, I dreamed of going to McD's, but I think that was just a standard "you're hungry right now" dream. I was waiting in line and ordering food but not eating it. The hot fries and chips dreams I was actually eating them. I was justifying it but saying I chew them so much they're liquid before I swallow

I died today. I could not wake up for anything. I got out of bed at 3PM but said nope and ended up sleeping for 3 more hours.

Rave: I was looking at an appointment card last night. I was supposed to see my p-doc on Tuesday, Dec. 17 at 2PM. I looked at my calendar. It didn't quite add up While I was awake, I called them. It's for the 19th. I might be able to get that haircut after all.

Rave? I don't like milkshakes anymore. They're too sweet too.
Rant: But so is the yogurt, applesauce, pudding and juice I bought. Even though it kills me, I REALLY wanted some tomato soup. All of the affordable stuff had high fructose corn syrup in it None of the other things I bought have it (they have cane sugar instead).

      Blah.

      everyone.

The good news is that Dreams is now only a number of months away rather than years away, but I still have no clue when the beta goes live >

cream of Celery is.... tolerable but just barely. If I'm starving...
So I gave what I had to my kids.

By adding juice, applesauce and pudding to my diet I am finally up to 760 calories a day. And my bloat belly is back
All of those have cane sugar.
Now I have to start removing items. I'm also stopped up again BUT, I'm only drinking 34 ounces (but also juice (8 oz) and milk (8-16 oz) and I've also not been walking at all. My knee is doing better but the roads are icy and I'd be inviting disaster.

I tried the Ensure with milk tonight and it wasn't any better. It was so thick, I could almost eat it with a spoon. Which implies, I got the wrong measurement for my cup. I'll try again tomorrow with less mix.

Other than that, life is meh. I can't get enough sleep. Part of it's boredom and restlessness. Part of it was not feeling well.

Rave: I have to go out early-ish tomorrow, so I'm going to see about getting my haircut. I think I'm going to go with the pixie. Hubby never sees my hair (I'm always wearing a bandana), so I don't see that it matters.

      Sweet dreams, DV.

The FCC has just decided to scrap net neutrality in favor of cable-izing the Internet with their stupid cable package-type deals. Jesus Christ, it is a public resource, NOT SOMETHING YOU CAN TAKE AWAY FOR THE SAKE OF PROFIT. And don't even get me started on Ajit Pie and his stupid, willingly ignorant demeanor. Actively ignoring about 83 PERCENT of the American public.

Ugh... I hope Congress dismantles that bill as efficiently as the atmosphere burns up tiny meteors.

Yeah, I'm a little worried about the Net Neutrality ruling too :/

Rant: My wonderful sleep crapped out. I'm back to getting 3-6 hour snippets here and there. It's starting to play with my mind.
I think there are three reasons for it: 1) I'm sick. My nose partially clogs as soon as I lie down. I wear a nose "mask" with my CPAP I kept waking up snoring huge intakes of air. I've had LOTS of gas pain. 2) I stopped walking. First, my ankle, then my knee and then the weather I walked last night. It drizzled the entire time and my fever worsened today. But I slept better than I had been in a week. 3) I had cranked up the humidity setting on my CPAP to see if it would help keep my nose from drying out.

The dreams I have been remembering have been downright demonic. I went old school on my kids last night and told them to get rid of anything new they brought into the house. I'm highly attuned to emotional and spiritual energy. We haven't had to have that talk in more than 10 years lol. There were lots of eye rolls and philosophical debates, but I got my message across and they didn't call the loony bin on me.

Meh: I saw the Gastro Dr. today (actually, though, I deal with the PA and haven't even met the Dr ). They didn't have any real answers for me, just more eliminations- which is something, I guess. I asked what my weight was when I was last there 3 months ago. It was 153. Today, I was 144 I reckon I'm doing something right. They're setting me up with an Allergy Dr. then I'll work from there and return to the Gastro in 3 months.

Rave: I got my hair cut. It's a short pixie and hubby paid for it. I even offered him an out "Seeing how you're paying for it, should I get the haircut you like or the one I like?" He said it didn't matter. I can tell he's not a fan of it but he's been a real champ. Everyone else loves it and says it makes me look younger. Better yet, I like it. Except for the bangs which look a little weird to me lol

I hope everyone is well and enjoying (or, will soon enjoy) their breaks and holidays.

Seems we have a lot in common. I'm going to be graduating next year. What university do you study at? I'm also going to pick up PUBG next week for my Xbox One S, I've gotta finish playing the new Wolfenstein game first though. I also like Jordan Peterson (an undergraduate psychologist being a fan of a clinical psychologist - go figure.) I also started lifting about a month ago. I figured seeing I'm staying with my parents for the holidays it'd be a waste not to work out, considering how well I eat when I'm at home. I've noticed some good gains (noob gains).

Anyway, recently I returned from my trip to Canada. It was really good, I saw snow for the first time which was nice. The funny thing is that I get bored of novelties really quickly. For example I saw Niagra Falls, and they were of course captivating, but only for a few seconds. Then it's kind of just like "Cool, but what's new?" You know? Once you perceive something it just gets old pretty much immediately. I guess it's a shame that awe is so fleeting. But then again it forces us to seek out new exciting things, which can't be so bad. It is of course nice to be home though. No place like home! I hope everyone's doing well. Here's a picture from Canada. 25353680_1788933867784838_5569388833065491020_n.jpg

Nice pic, Yuppie. So glad you had a good time!

I'm that way ('what else is there') if I'm with other people. For me, though, I think it's the anxiety of being with and around others (what does the group want; how is there mood; what is the mood of everyone else around us etc). If I'm by myself, I like to explore, soak up the little details and take lots of pictures

Rant: I ate Burger King today. I woke with another nasty headache, went to my p-doc appointment and the headache was only getting worse. Eating brought the headache from a 7+ to a 4. But now it's coming back. I took 2 Ibuprofen's. Blah.

I haven't been by for a while, life has been put on hold in favor of school for a couple of weeks now. Not that I get all that much work done, but I turn into a slob and can't get anything else done when I feel guilty about not working. Anyhoo! Today was my last exam, and I am so ready for to relax and get back into the groove.

I went to see the new star wars movie, which was awesome. I really got carried away by it. Sound design was next level.

Usually when I have useless periods in life I am a lot less aware during the day and don't get lucid during night. But the last few weeks I've had quite a few short lucid dreams. But it's really only frustrating when they don't last and I don't get fully lucid.

      Grats on finishing your exams
Hubby wants to see that movie too. I'm more meh about it.

Rant? I ate out with hubby yesterday (1 piece of French Toast, 1 piece of bacon), and later today, I'll be gorging on Fish Hawk food (our fave place) sent to us from hubby's office for the holidays.
I'm trying to be more forgiving with my diet (especially seeing how that's about all hubby and I do together ). So, I guess I'll have real food about twice a week and my liquid hell the rest of the time. I am SO over cream of chicken Now, it's Tomato Bisque. As long as I drink it midway through the day (between doses of acid reducing meds), reflux hasn't been killing me. So far.

I walked the pups tonight. The first time in several days because of the weather... and now it's going to be raining for the next 2 days
My legs have gotten stronger. It's my goal to walk them at 1AM and ride my bike some time during the day. It would be good to get more exercise in.

Rave: I've fallen in love with Terraria again.
Rant: But I accidentally threw away a quest obtained item- a really good fishing pole. Now I'm grinding 75+ fishing missions to get another one

Blah. And now it's bed time Noon is going to come too soon if I don't get started on catching my zzz's (as it is, I won't be asleep before 6AM)

Hope everyone is well and enjoying their time.
