So I'm watching this movie called The Machine, and Xanous made a cameo:

My Grandmother recently had a birthday, and I made her a card using a design I saw online:


I should have made the banner out of lighter paper though, it weighed the string down more than I would have liked.

But it was a lot of fun to make, and I think she really enjoyed it.

Video of my everyday life? I was going home from grocery shopping, so what you're hearing is all my groceries falling from the passenger seat. I'm used to deer on back roads, but I think this well-lit stretch of road right outside the city is the worst, probably BECAUSE it's so well lit. I don't even think the deer notice car headlights.

Came across this 'visitor' in my backyard, just before heading out to work, today.

What kind is it, do you know? Poisonous? Kinda looks like a diamondback, but I don't really know my snakes all that well.

Had to kill it (though I didn't really want to). I was late for work, having to come back to the house because my roommates step-daughter was there with the dogs. She called me, just after I'd left, to tell me about the snake. If I had more time, I would rather have called animal control or something, but I had to do something about it quickly, and couldn't just let it free to roam around our yards, or anyone else's in the neighborhood. =/

But, oh well. While I was at work, my roommate and buddy skinned it and put it on ice. I just whipped up some marinade, and it's sitting in wait for us to grill it tomorrow. All 4-5 feet of it.

Awww yeah! First time ever cooking rattlesnake, and everyone loved it.

Looks delicious!!

It was sooooo good. Not a whole lot of meat, of course, but the flavor was great. Basted it with a little Sweet Baby Ray's bbq sauce, a few minutes before taking it off the grill. It really added to the marinade.
