Oh god, please go see an opthamologist. It sounds like you may have a detached retina. Is that one eye you see these "dots of light?" Would you call them a flash of light?

Source: I had an undiagnosed retinal detachment that left me partially blind.

I've had this for years and I'm fine. It used to scare me when I was little especially at night. Even now it still startles me. I have perfect 20/20 vision. I wouldn't freak out about it until something started degrading majorly. It's both. It's a full on vision thing and it typically happens more so at night than the day. Daytime it just is a constant static field against walls and floors easily seen in brighter colors like yellow and white.and yeah they're more like flashes in my perhiphrial.

Sleep deprivation can cause a lot of what you describe. I was certain I was ??? psychically sensitive/gifted throughout my teenage years and into my 20's. It was really just undiagnosed anxiety and sleep deprivation. If I skimp on sleep I still see visual disturbances.
Blood pressure, sugar levels and external influences can also contribute (certain music etc). Oh yes, it could also be a visual migraine. There's no pain but a lot of zigs and zags and colors.

I mean no disrespect if your belief system allows for clairvoyance and the likes.

I believe everyone has a capacity for an infinite amount of psychic abilities so I wouldn't think "2 kinds" is rare. I also think nobody can tell you what you're experiencing except yourself. So if you are experiencing visual phenomena that is not caused by eye problems then it's up to you to decide what you think that is based on all your own observations and beliefs. Be a critical thinker and your own skeptic and I'm sure you'll figure out what's true for you

I had the detached retina for about 2 to 4 years before it finally blinded me. Light flashes, especially peripheral flashes, are the results of tears in your retina. They don't affect your vision until the optic nerve or macula is hit, which when it gets to that point, it's too late to do anything. To whit, when I went in for surgery, I had 20/20 vision where the damage wasn't. You are taking a huge risk by not talking to a doctor about it.

I wouldn't call this some supernatural thingy
This phenomen is actually called visual snow
Something like this:


I myself see it on many surfaces and it's not quite a big thingy yet might be kinda annoying at times

That shadow or movement was probably somekind of hypnagonic hallucination?
I myself sometimes had such or similar hallucinations after waking up or getting up at night from bed few times.
It seems to be phenomen related to the way our body switches our consciousness from dream world up to reality.
Either you were in nrem/rem sleep conscious and spotted something whether it was in your room or through closed eyes.

This might be some issue related to your eyes perception

Or not. You could just continue to believe that you're a psychic and hold on to the notion until a serious health problem shows up, and then go on to ignore that by dismissing it as just another sign of your inherit supernatural powers. Because after all, what do doctors really know?

I was gonna say this sounds like tracers. Can anybody confirm or deny?

It depends on what the streaks look like. Do the streaks trail/follow objects or an object's path? If not then it probably isn't a tracer, and if so, it probably is.

So....no one else here can see energy? Not even Aura's?

I see energy all the time - but only in the visible light spectrum. (sorry, couldn't resist)

Hmmm do you see colors in the visible light spectrum too?

Ok. So I dont actually see Aura's, but rather sense them, it has not happened for a long time though.
