Thread: Does anyone else in here actually enjoy rainy days?

I generally like rain especially when it rains heavily.. it just gives off a feeling i can't express.

I love rain too and I don't mind getting wet. Yeah too much of anything becomes bad eventually. But my favorite whether has to be when it's raining or about to and the sky is full of dark clouds but there is an opening and sunshine can also pass through. The contrast in colors just look amazing!

On rainy days I don't feel guilty when I spend the whole day inside watching anime or playing video games... So yes.

Rain feels dreamlike to me as well since one of my dreamsigns is seeing the kind of very dark cumulonimbus storm clouds.

I love rain, too I love the sound of the rain on the roof and against the windows- the smell in the air; the lightening and thunder too. As long as it's not bad enough to cause any damage. a good storm brings out my creativity for some reason.

I love winter and the snow too. Snow temps are perfect because it's usually not cold enough to freeze the pipes. When the pipes freeze, the cold quickly becomes annoying lol.

I hate summer and the heat- everything's sticky and gross and the insects are out in force. I also get light-headed in the heat.

But yeah, I'd probably feel a bit differently if I didn't live indoors with all the comforts that brings

I have to agree to most of what has been said here. There is just something so mythical about the rain. Many people associate it with sadness, but maybe that’s one of the reasons why it mystifies me so much every time I see it.

The scorching summer sunlight is the only weather I consider bad.

I agree. Rainy days are amazing. I enjoy living in damp rainy climates because those places are so green and beautiful.

The most beautiful time, I think, is after a rainstorm, especially during sunset when there are still clouds in the sky and everything is still wet.

I love rain, especially now in the summer. The weather in Croatia is now just awesome to me. It's raining through the morning and afternoon, at the evening the clouds go away and you can enjoy the sunset.

I like sunny days better. I like to be outdoors and feel the warmth of the sun on my body. Everything looks more brighter and cheerful when its sunny. Though i do enjoy rainy days from time to time but more than 2 days of it becomes a little depressing.

I love rainy days and when it storms, I have since I was a child.

Same here snoop maybe not since I was a child but I like those days now.

I have always loved rainy days, especially if I'm in a warm, dry house listening to the rain falling outside, especially how it sounds hitting the roof/walls, windows. I just don't prefer them to be in the middle of summer since we get few enough real summery days where I live.

I believe it's something profoundly human (if it's raining while you're in a shelter that is)

if you're indoors and it's raining it makes sense to feel comfy and relaxed, it's an evolutionary benefit to be sedentary for a few days when it's raining

it also makes sense to like rain in general, because in the early days, humans needed rain to grow their grain and wheat
I can imagine that's still deep inside our brains

love rain. i live in vancouver bc. unfortunately we're going through a drought right now.

^ Lol what that guy said I'm a Lower Mainlander so I've become quite accustomed to rain in my life; most locals bitch and complain about us, but I personally love the rain because without the rain we would not have our natural beauty, it is a temperate RAINforrest after all. Also the 3 days worth of heavy rain sure was a relief after that drought eh Raswalt? Stage 4 water restrictions were in effect!!

I only like it when I don't have to go out. Otherwise, I really don't because I hate getting my clothes and shoes wet.

Well, rain makes the earth smell horrible . . . but it's fun to walk in.

Really, I'm not very "happy" with the skies unless there are some clouds. Overcast is my favorite. :3

Actually??? I find that to be one of the most pleasant aromas in nature!

Most people are never happy, when it rains they want the sun, when the sun is there they want rain...
So yeah I love rain like I love sunny days... But my favorite weather is when there is stong WIND! When there is no sun and no rain just wind, I love to feel the power of the nature

I hate strong wind, this isn't because I'm a miserable fuck (which I can be) but it's because where I live we get windstorms every winter with winds up to 120 km/h that cause extensive damage, power outages, and really scary driving conditions.

I love rainy days - especially thunderstorms.

You're right: the scents are appealing and rainy days feel dreamlike.

I also consider the sounds and feel to be very soothing. On a sunny day, the weather is far less "happening" or atmospheric. There is an exciting energy presence during a thunderstorm. Lightning and thunder are so cool!

On top of that, water is life. Rain provides relief to drought areas and gives hydrating sustenance.
