      my journey with mental illness

      if anyone remembers me , they probably remember me being really depressed all of the time or some shit. And i was. ever since i was 13 ive self harmed and struggled. I kind of drifted away from dv and lucid dreaming in general a few years ago (which helped my depression a lot) and went into a downward spiral. here i am now, kind of unstable but neutral. i have schizoaffective disorder which is a combo of schizophrenia and a mood disorder (depression in my case). I think its key to reach out and if anyone here struggles with mental illness feel free to message me, since ive been off this website ive been in extensive therapy and psychiatry for the last 2 years. everyone knew i was a nut job probably . im also younger than i ever lead on people to believe i was. im 19 now turning 20 in about a month. im going to get back into dreaming as a hobby.

      Good on you Erii! I've long considered you a friend since day 1 on this site, you saw this community at its very best and served as a great dream guide and, if my memory serves me right, mod as well. It comes as no surprise to see you continuing to have a helpful attitude!

      Gotta say I'm quite surprised that you're younger than you lead on as you seem wise beyond your years!

      Great to see your name in my feed and good to hear you're doing at least a little better

      you too moose and yeah i was a mod! i miss those days. and yeah i totally was mysterious about my age hoping thinking people thought i was like 23 when i was 17. thanks for your response take care

      Hey beautiful. I just happened to get on here, looking back on the good old days. I remember you very well lol. I'm surprised to see that you posted so recent. I want to say thank you for being here for me through those years. It was a rough, confusing time, and it was nice having you there. You were my best friend for a good while, and it's a shame we never got to meet like we planned to. I hope you know what a strong, intelligent person you are. I'm sorry that your mental illness has been affecting you so negatively. But you will find your way through it, like you did all those years ago.

      I hope when you see this you message me. If you ever even see it . Still have the same number. Definitely could use a friend again.

      Hi, I too was a DV regular back some years ago now.. I'm 26 today and was diagnosed with Schizoaffective Disorder (Bipolar Type) in January 2016. I went through extensive therapy for two years in a wonderful local program that helped me a lot. I was hospitalized twice in 2016 and it was an all around rough year. I'm sorry you have to experience these things as well. I'm medicated for the disorder and also for anxiety and social anxiety. You're not alone <3 Hit me up in a message on here if you're on Facebook ther eis a wonderful support group I;m in if you're interested. I know this is a late reply but I found it coincidental that I came across someone on here that has the same thing as me. Take care
