binaural beats - hand of god

I realize there are already several threads about binaural beats...[I have the hardest fucking time with the search, btw. I put in simple key words and virtually nothing related comes up. I just put the title of this thread minus the hyphen in the search, it kept coming up "The search term you specified (of) is under the minimum word length (3) and therefore will not be found. Please make this term longer." so I took out the "of" and got one thread. thankfully there's the auto-search feature when you go to make a new thread...I looked through all the others that came up but I did not find what I'm looking for, so, I make a new one.]

like I said I know there are already threads about binaural beats, but I want to know more about a specific one - the one called "hand of god".

I can't seem to find the answers I'm looking for anywhere :\

my little brother told me about them about a year ago...and recently he sent me a message, "I have a challenge for you."

I just laughed and asked just how my completing this "challenge" would benefit him. well, he explained that he found the "hand of god" binaural beat, listened about 5 minutes in (it's about 30 minutes), and ripped the headphones off...because it was too weird? he said it made him feel like he was floating above his body...or something. :\

I saw him today, he had it on him (on his ipod) and insisted I listen for at least 7 minutes without ripping the phones off - he had a friend listen for that long at school earlier, and the kid ripped them off and his hands were shaking. SO.

I put in the head phones, sit down, and just as I'm getting comfy...I hear this SUDDEN, LOUD, HARSH STATIC SOUND, JUMP out of my seat and I have to stop myself from completing the sentence I begin to shout - since we were at my mom's office and there were clients there! DAMN NEAR GAVE ME A HEART ATTACK, I tell you what :|

ok, here's the thing: I don't think it's supposed to have all these static breaks. he insists that it's part of it, that the whole experience is supposed to be - basically - nerve racking, and the whole thing is, you don't know when the static blasts are coming which builds tension and all...no. I don't think so. from the descriptions I've read, no one says anything about any "shocks" or anything like that, except for this one:
Reading about all of the claims of the Hand of God Dose, it was tempting to use it. I started with a good volume and didnt change it through out the process.
It begins with an usual humming sound after 10 % it gives some weird sounds in between that seemed to me like some problem with the dose but was the actual part of itÖ After 45 % the weird sounds become prominent and at 50 % another buzzing sound starts, which is irritating and torturous. Around 60 % this weird sounds increase their intensity and after 70 % it becomes fast this is where the hard part comes to handle it. Around 80 % another weird sound joins in and it becomes completely irritating. At around 96 % it gave relief of all the weird sounds..and goes silentÖ At the end it gave great sense of relief because you feel complete silence.
Yes, in between felt like someone banging on some drums or things like that. Felt nothing, like Weeping, fear or anger but the sounds are irritating and can get you angry if you continue!!
but then there's this one right under it:
I did the hand of god and if you change the file at all it loses its frequencies. Most people change it to a MP3 or listen to them on an I pod, but thatís not the way to do it. If you look hard enough you can find the real ones that donít cost 200-300 bucks. Then you have to listen to them from the computer. I was only able to listen to The Hand of God for 31 percent. After about 5 min I couldnít fell my body and them every thing got way way dark. It seemed like I was stuck in the floor, then I had zero thought at all and all I could fell was fear and loneliness. If you didnít get any of that or an overwhelming sensation you didn't listen to the real ones. And if you do find the real ones DO NOT DO the Hand of GOD!!!!!
see, most of the descriptions are more like this. just weird feelings, basically. and this one says something about not changing the file type...I'm seriously thinking the version he got is just fucked up :\

anyone know anything about his specific beat?

If you know about torrents, then there's another way. That's all I'm going to say about that. Also, I tried the HOG and it didn't do anything for me. Also, my headphones are perfectly capable of giving the effects. I've also heard that you have to keep listening to them if you don't feel anything at first. I guess I just gotta keep trying. I've also tried the Gates of Hades with nothing felt as well.

I've also heard you shouldn't change the file type. I have the original DRM file types and I use the IDoser program your suppose to play them with. As with the sound your talking about, yes they are in them. I listened right through them no problem. The trick is to not have it so loud that it scares you just because it surprised you and because it was loud.

The Hand of God "dose" comes from iDoser.com. From what I've heard, they seem to work with some but not with others. There is some speculation that those who these things do work for are actually experiencing placebo.

Nerve, you shouldve posted about the experience I witnessed my friend have. I told you about it when we were hanging at the office.

Anyway, Zakk (my friend) and I were hanging out in 7th period when i whipped out my iPod and started listening to stuff, i remembered the whole incident the day before where I challenged people to listen to the first couple minutes of it. So, i walked over to Zakk and told him about it. We were all going through the tracks for iDoser ( orgasm, ecstasy, etc. ) and I brought up the...Hand of God...dun dun dun. Well i told them about it and how it supposedly makes people go insane

I got 3 people to listen to the first few minutes, they couldnt do it, and they also got very paranoid. I told Zakk to sit down, put the headphones on, dont mess with the volume and see how far you can get into the track.

7 minutes later...Me and a few girls were talking about stuff maybe 7 or 8 ft away from him, we turned our heads, he stood up slowly then took of the headphones stating, "I cant take it anymore, Im done." His hands were shaking, it freaked one girl out but she got over it

      Short version: iDoser, HoG =

Eh, if you tell people something is going to make them insane, it probably will. Especially if you've got the volume pretty high. You should just give it to someone to listen to without telling them anything about it first, and then see what happens. Also anyone who spends $200 on something like this is batshit crazy, as are the people who made it and priced it. Someone should have a seizure and sue them.

I tried a few, Hand of God, then Peyote

I listened to the whole thing, it didn't do anything to me, although, it did really fuck up my hearing for about an hour. It sounded like everyone was talking through a fan. Peyote didn't really do anything, I took the headphones off after ~5 minutes because I was bored.

seriously, man. and you could have put it in the last post.
for a quote like that, just include the first few sentences followed by an ellipses (...) everyone can look up and see the post you quoted, it's on the same page.

anyway, I can't believe those static breaks are actually part of it.

I don't usually fall for placebos, I'm sure I do sometimes, but when there's a bunch of hype about something I'm always...really skeptical. I go into things not expecting them to work. I've heard some people are more effected by these things than others, could be people falling for placebos and some not, or it could be something else, or a mix. all I know is, I can't know until I try it for myself, and I have no expectations, so...

yeah, I didn't make this thread because I'm hot to listen to it and omgtriporwhatever, I just made it because I did NOT believe my brother when he said the static parts are part of it and I was sure someone on here would know ._.

Jorge: he had it set WAY loud at first and I kept telling him it was fucking loud, and he said I wouldn't hear it if I turn it down anymore. I think if I left it on at that volume, I wouldn't hear anything at all for a good while :\

In case you haven't noticed, that's the way things work on this forum, nerve. It makes no difference what method he used, so stop trying to be a forum cop.

Same man. I pretty much listened to all the i-doser ones. Maybe a couple of them I didn't. But my hearing was fucked for so long. I don't think it was really my hearing, more my brain. Whenever there was not enough noise I would hear that fucking binaural beat sound.

God damn it was fucked I thought I had screwed my brain up.

They're a load of shit btw. Maybe soon they'll be able to do it but binaural beats is not the answer. Those holographic sound things Nina posted are pretty awesome.

But anyway. Yeah the MP3 is most likely fucked up. I'm guessing he downloaded it from Kazaa or some shit. So many files have that noise that just irritates the shit out of anyone that's human. It's possibly the worst sound on earth and it sounds like what you're describing. It's a corrupted file basically.

Yeah, if there was no noise, I'd just keep hearing a buzzing or ringing sound, like the beat had.

      Don't get off topic, please.

I'm 20 minutes into what is allegedly this "hand of god" binaural beat.. There are no sudden noises in this one though, the frequencies change progressively like any other 'beat,' and I'm not actually getting any strange physical sensations. I can't help but wonder if this is the wrong one, as it doesn't seem particularly special.

[edit] Well, some minor hallucinations, but that's it. I write down all of the times on the audio track at which I begin to hear a very prevalent, different noise come onto the scene. At the end of listening to the track I would go back to the specified times to see if the noises were a part of the track. They were not, in this case, but they were very subtle. After finishing the track and having taken off the headphones, my computer's regular sound instead sounded like bubbling water. That seems to have ended. Again, nothing special, since hearing things that are not there when listening to binaural beats isn't that uncommon. It helps if the noise sounds very alien so that it doesn't get confused with a car passing through the wind outside, or some other often occurring sound. This track was also 30 minutes... Is that how long the hand of god one is supposed to last?

......wait....what!? Are hallucinations like no big deal to you?? Like, you just sat down listening to an audio file, started seeing things, and "that's it"? That's really cool!

He said auditory hallucinations. Which are common with binaural beats coz it's fucking with the auditory processing unit in your brain.

If you ever hear new pieces of audio introduced in the track, Noogah, write down the time in the track that they are introduced. After you finish listening, go back to those times to find out whether or not the different sounds were actually a part of the track or not. If they were hallucinations, you shouldn't hear the noise occur at exactly the same time. Auditory hallucinations can't be distinguished from real ones unless another person listening to the same thing is not hearing what you are. The first time I had listened to Binaurals I began to hear distant cannonfire about 15 minutes in, but because I wasn't familiar with the experience I ripped the headphones off and opened my window. I asked everyone else if they had heard it, and, of course, they hadn't. After having put the headphones back on, the cannonfire played again another 5 minutes in and continued to the end of the track. No one else that I had made listen to the audio ever heard what I heard. So, it's interesting.

Okay...you say you used Hand of God?

Have you experienced auditory hallucinations with any other Binaural sounds?

Yea, the first with the cannons was maybe two years ago but I have no idea what it was called. Otherwise I'd heard it only with Hand of God, because I don't often listen to Binaural Beats. With the others I have heard, I wasn't aware of any auditory hallucinations.

Holy oh my, i can't properly express things right now, um... I just listened to Hand of God all the way through and decided to meditate while doing to clear my mind.

First 20% i started being able to visualize things extremely clearly, almost like i was actually at thing place i was visualizing.

Second 45-50%, it began to "spin", i "felt" the g-force and got a queasy feeling in my stomach.

Third 65% in i felt this immense pressure running throughout my body like i was going to explode.

Fourth 80% in i could "feel" my self being cast through space (not outer space, like the term space) as if something had shot me from a gun.

Fifth 90% in i could hear faint female laughter

Now that it's over i can hear the repeating dinging sound and certain sounds are extremely loud but others are dull....

this is interesting... going to try "Lucid Dream" now

Being fully aware of the air whipping by you, controlling every movement of every single atom in your body with a single thought. It's real freedom, and there's not a word good enough to describe it, so I'll just call it dreamy for now."
