Light cues work.....they really do.

I've had lucid dreams everytime I use my Dream Mask and I recommend it everynight. So far after using it I've had close to 100 lucid dreams in a month where previously I had none...so it does work... IMJ

I thought lucid dreams are a waste of time? Full of "BS" and what not. I would try a mask of some sort but it involves depending on the light cues. I'm afraid I'll either disregard them, or become completely dependent on them to the point where if I stop using it, I will continue to look for lights and not be aware I'm dreaming. I haven't read that much on light cues, but they do seem to work in the short term.

You'd have to be aware and focused enough to notice the cues, though. So you'd have to train yourself to recognize the lights and be aware in general - but awareness alone will cause lucidity, therefore defeating the purpose of a sleep mask.
