      Question Vitamin B6 Advice (asking for some, not giving =3)

      First of all, let me start off by saying that I'm not too sure of where this thread belongs, so if needs to be moved, then by all means, move it.

      Now let's get down to business. Today, I picked up some Vitamin B6 tablets, which I've been meaning to for a while. They're 100mg tablets, according to the bottle. No other supplement is listed on the bottle (such as other vitamins). I'm a 14 year old boy and (and yes, I am working on this) weigh 265 pounds. If I were to take one of these per night, would I suffer any nerve damage? Or should I take them on like a 3-day-a-week basis or something?

      EDIT: If I were to take 400 mg of ibuprofen about 2 hours before I take a B6 pill and go to bed, will I suffer any negative effects?

      I'm not a pharmacist, but no, there won't be any negative effects from taking ibuprofen before taking the B6. I would stay away from taking the B6 every night as that is where some problems could arise. If you plan on taking only one pill then 3 nights a week should work perfectly! I would advise no to take more than 200mg a night to stay in the safe zone, although B6 is water soluble it is still possible to overdose on(probably pretty hard to do i'd imagine though)

      i'm 23, male, 150lbs. I've had success with taking 100mg of B6 at WBTB. If you combine this with 2-3mg of melatonin at bed time, you may have even better results.

      I've read on these forums that B6 should not be taken daily, but I actually use a multivitamin (Animal Pak by Universal) that has 90mg of B6 per serving. So I don't really know about that... Still I would limit to just a couple times per week. It may not be dangerous, but you may build up a tolerance to it.

      Since you're a bigger guy, I'd say start with 100mg and if that makes no difference, then move up to 200.
