      Galantamine disappointing :(

Last week I woke up after 5 hours of sleep, took 4mg of galantamine with 400mg choline, results were no recall.

Last night I tried 8mg galantamine with 800mg choline after 5 hours sleep, stayed awake for half a hour then back to sleep, results were no recall, and actually over slept, 4 hours more than normal.

Shouldn't galantamine increase recall? And have the opposite effect of oversleeping?

Galantamine = usefull as WILD help.
I suggest to read the yuschack's book about LD suplements.
He also gives a protocol to follow.
When I follow his advices I get about 90% success at my wild attempts with galantamine+chomine+alpha gpc.

What is everyone's routine with galantamine?
And how many mg's do you find the most effective?

before bed I take 100mg 5-htp to suppress (in theory) the REM sleep of the first half of the night and provides a REM rebound
      I sleep 5-7 hrs
      short WBTB : 8mg galantamine + 400 choline (bitarate or citrate)+600mg A-GPC.
I return to bed, lie on my back, start to focus on my lucid goal, use a mantra to keep me focused.
20 min after (I use a vibrating alarm that gives me cues every 20 min so that I know where I am in my schedule), I start to imagine my legs and my arms flexing when I exhale and returning to there normal position when I inhale, for example I imagine that my arms flex so that I can touch my shoulder, then I let it return to the initial position.
I practive this for about 20 min.
at this point, 40 min has passed since I took the pills, so the Galantamin starts to kick in.
I roll over on my side.
I will try to focus on the dream scenes that are forming. at this point I will fall asleep and come back several times, and each time I notice that I just wake up from a dream, I practice something close to the raduga's technique.
for example if I just woke up, I try to have an obe for few seconds, if nothing happens, I imagine myself walking on the floor, for few second, then I imagine doing bicycle for few seconds, then I imagine swimming, and if nothing happens, I imagine myself walking once again, and so on.

The Galantamine hits its plasma peak one hour after the intake, then slowly decrease for about 48 hours.
the A-GPC is a kind of choline that hits the plasma peak when the bitarate choline stops to work, so thanks to the A-GPC, I will haves (hopefully lucid)Dreams until the late morning.

after each night with G I start my day by taking 2000-2400 Piracetam to "clean up" my system.

Just Wanted to say this is pretty much spot on what I do except I like to give myself plenty of sleep that day, like at least 10-12 hours.
I start on my side and roll onto my back though, I find it much easier to WILD like that.

Occasional use of galantamine and choline 4/200 mg combined as a single capsule during a 10 min WBTB after about 6 hrs sleep.

DILD success rate over +90%. Even the 'failures' were FA's.
No real preperation. I go back to bed and sleep most of the time. I just make sure that I feel well enough to take it or if I have a quiet day ahead as I know I might have to write an essay afterwards!

(I should note that if I do a clean (but longer) WBTB I probably have a 30 to 40% or more chance of a DILD anyhow.)

I might not take another for a fortnight depending on what mood I'm in, etc.

I generally have more (lucid) FA's on G+C, and I'm generally aware through the dream formations and transitions even though the vast majority are DILD. (They can still be hazy or have vague recall though.)

Common side effects can include stomach upset and insomnia. I'm ok if I keep the WBTB short when taking it so no problems. I only take it if I'm not stressed where nothing is on my mind, so I'm more likely to have a good experience.

Whats your nightly routine with galantamine? How long of a WBTB? And after how many hours of sleep?

When I get back to sleep on G+Ch I have very strong vivid lucids, if not lucid then nearly so. But I mostly never make it back to sleep for 5 hours or more so I'm pretty much giving it up. I'm probably 10% or less with it due to the insomnia it produces in me.

I have great, vivid non-lucid dreaming without it so I'm focusing on developing natural LDs via the fundamentals (awareness, memory, dream recall).

Of course. 4mg pure galantamine with nothing else kept me up for several hours 3 nights ago.

Tried 8mg again, slept for 6 hours, took G+C, Had a 30 min wbtb (Thinking of lucid dreaming)

Woke up at 8, no recall

Should I try after less hours of sleep possibly?

so you didn't try to WILD.
30 min WBTB is too much, you should do a mini WBTB and start to relax in your bed, like I explained HERE

I did attempt wild, faint HI, but still no recall with the wbtb, a small mild and 8mg galantamine

I have a success rate of close to 100% with my combo of Galantamine and Alpha GPC. I also have done many experiments with my WBTB from 10 mins to 60 mins and notice a drastic difference in what works for me and what doesn't. If I do a WBTB that stay up for anything less than 45 mins It becomes a hit or miss for me. If I stay up for 45 - 60 mins that's my sweet spot and I usually have 100% success with this method. I would give that a shot and try to use other techniques as well when waking up in the morning to increase your chances of dream recall. If you cannot remember dreams on a daily basis you should work on that before anything else as it will help you greatly with your chances of becoming lucid and most importantly remembering those Lucid Dreams.
